  1. The race Sunday night was pretty good, even though Carl had a rough night. I can't even imagine sitting in a car and driving that long with a broken foot. I've never had anything broken, but I'm sure that it takes some endurance to get thru a race. I'm not sure if I missed something or not during the race though. I know Jimmy broke an axle, but didn't Vickers brake one too? I'm not sure why Jimmy had to go to the garage the first time when Vickers team fixed his axle in his pit stall. I know why Jimmy had to go back to the garage the second time, but I don't understand the first trip. Maybe it's just different team strategies or something. Or maybe I just totally misunderstood the situation. I was playing with my nephew on and off so that could be a very big possibility.

I'm okay with Kasey winning, but I was really rooting for Kevin Harvick to do it. His nickname is Happy Harvick, but he hasn't been very happy this year. He just doesn't seem like the same driver this season. Also, when Kasey won I had a flashback of the Lowe's race two years ago. My cousins and I went to that race and were camping in one of the speedway's campgrounds. Kasey won and we were two tents down from some of his fans. All night all we heard was "What's the name? KASEY KANE!" Grrr, that got so tiring after a while. It finally quit at around 3 or 4 am. I like Kane, but that experience put me off a little.

I thought we were in for a show when Kurt slamed out of his car, but he really calmed himself down by the time he gave his interview. I just had to wonder how his brother would have handled the situation. I can't imagine it would have been good. :-o I did like your thought of Bo and Luke sitting in the stands. That would be awesome. Now I want to go to the Atlanta race. To watch the race of course, but to look for Bo and Luke too. ;)

It turns out that I don't get to go to the truck races this weekend. I just don't have the funds to drive to St Louis this weekend and then turn around and drive back next weekend for the Toby Keith/Trace Adkins concert. I'm not missing my Toby concert though. I've been waiting for him to come back to this area for a while now, and when I won the tickets I was (and am) so excited. I can't wait! Now if the race tickets had been for a Cup race or maybe even a Nationwide it would have been a harder decision. There is just so much going on in the next few weeks that I don't have the money to do it all. I'm going to Connecticut with my boss for some more job training by our home office. So that will take money too. The tickets aren't going to waste though, I'm giving them to someone else who likes to watch racing.

Well, if you ever get the chance to read that book, I thought it was great. I love reading. I have ever since I was a child. My mom used to read me two stories before my nap, and if I could con her into it, it would be three. I almost always have a book close at hand. I read and re-read them when I can't afford to get a new one. I really like mysteries, in fact I'm excited about Dan Brown's new book coming out Tuesday. It's the third in the Robert Langdon series. (Angels & Demons and The DaVinci Code were the first two if you haven't read them or seen the movies.) It doesn't have to be mysteries though, I read just about anything. Just about.

Keep the long messages coming! It's great reading your posts and discussing racing with you.
