  1. Thank you all for the welcomes. I enjoy hanging at this place, finally found some people that I can talk to about the Dukes. Thank you for making me feel welcome.
  2. Vapor lock lol...Is just a slang word for frozen up that's all. Glad you're DVD's are working okay now...
  3. Crazy kooky me, I always thought Fan was short for Fanatic. Guess I was wrong. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion and just cause we may enjoy the Dukes movies doesn't make us any less than a fan of the orginal DOH. But I respect your strong opinions Tim, just we all have different ones.
  4. I think during season four, in one of the DVD extra specials when Tom talks about walking off the show, he says he was glad when Vance and Coy left. During one of the commentaries on the fourth season, Tom actually says they should have gotten people who could act to play Coy and Vance. I guess he got a little upset cause WB had nerve to replace John and Tom when they left and plus probably saw what they were doing to the show. Coy and Vance should have been their own characters, not replacements. The show might have went a little better, if the story line was just Coy and Vance staying until the Dukes try thier hand at racing. Things might have went a lot better. But they threw those characters together, even had Vance be an exmarien just like Luke was...It really isn't Byron and Christopher's fault. They just did a job, lots of feathers were ruffled when WB hired them.
  5. I've been a Dukes fan since I first saw the series in 1980. I had a wild crush on Luke and have been a Tom fan since. I've grown fond of Bo over the years, he is cute too but Luke is my favorite.
  6. Luke is my fav. I just think he's smart, good looking and sexy. Then there is Bo Duke, the older he gets the better looking he is. I think Cooter is a riot
  7. Here in Canada I think the only seasons so far that aren't double sided are seasons 4 5 and 7. The rest are double sided. I watched them all, and so far haven't had too much of a problem. Some times the DVD player, if it isn't proggressive scan, gets a vapor lock and then there is the region where you buy the dvd in too.
  8. I was mad when I heard they were replacing Bo and Luke and refused to watch the show. I was ten at the time, what did I know about show biz politics LOL. I started watching again when Bo and Luke came back. I had only been watching the show at the time cause of Luke anyway:oops: But I recently bought season 5 and although it doesn't have Bo and Luke, it isn't a bad season. The actors did try and bring something to the show, even though they were cast to be off the wall replacement. There was some overacting in some scenes but all in all Coy and Vance did all right. I don't mind watching those episodes with them, but I was glad when John and Tom came back.
  9. I think there were only 17 episoids, cause I think the ratings (as shocking as that seems) were falling and the show got canceled. I think, I could be wrong. But they were good episoides. I like anything Duke. Of course some of them were a little weird and yet, cute in their own way. I liked Dr Jekyle and Mr. Duke. I thought it was great, the evil side of Luke. I haven't watched all the episoides yet.
  10. Star Trek Star Trek Next Generation MASH Knight Rider Miami Vice Magnum PI Friends Er Party of five and of course... Dukes lol
  11. I'd have to say "The Ghost of General Lee" "Goodbye General Lee" "Welcome back Bo and Luke" "Mrs. Daisy Hogg" "Nothing but the truth" "Brotherly love"
  12. "That Boss, he's slippier than six slimy snakes in an oil slick" Roscoe. Roscoe is great, the way he laughs, the way he's a clutz and the way he always lets the cat out of the bag concerning Boss Hogg's plans. He also has an emotional side and plays it well. Like in "The Ghost of General Lee" and the episoide in season six where Flash gets dognapped.
  13. Actually I liked it when Johnathan Franks from Next Generation starred in a dukes episoide, where he played Jamie Lee Hogg and was going to marry Daisy Duke and totally ruin Boss Hogg's appitite.
  14. I haven't seen it yet. Don't know if I want to. The Dukes of hazzard movie was all right, although a little disappointing, especially the charactor of Bo in the movie. Guess Hollywood is trying to spiff up the Dukes for this generation to like, cause this generation is more into the sex and violence in movies.. Maybe I'm just getting old
  15. Just wanted to drop in and say hi ya'll. I've been a Dukes fan since they orginally aired in the 80's and have watched reruns, but now I own all the seasons and don't have to wait for it to air. I love the down homeness of the dukes and what they stood for and thier values in life. Hope to see you all around...
