She wasn't like all these supposed " Country" singers today ( e.g. Shania Twain, et. al.)  she was the REAL deal! Nothing fake about HER!

I'm feeling better now. It definitely feels good to unplug occasionally in these crazy times. Our new puppy is doing great. After about 24 hours she felt right at home. We're even making progress on potty training. It's been 20 years since we've done that. Spring is definitely here.

The Queen of country music turns 89 today. She's in poor health but don't believe those internet stories that say she's gone. Loretta is.....and always will be.... my favorite female singer. Her voice is as unique as a voice can get...just like her friend Patsy Cline. When you heard their voices  you didn't have to stop and ask who it was. We love you Miss Loretta.

Daisy Duke:"Maybelle! Give me the Sheriff's station!"

It's really unfortunate for small businesses that so many millennials are too lazy to shop local and instead just get it from Amazon because "it's easier". Wouldn't surprise me within the next 20 years the only stores left will be Amazon, Walmart, Krogers and one of the big 3 of the home improvement stores.

That's a good thing to do once in a while. It also gives your eyes a break too, the blue light screens emanate are not good for the eyes long term.
While walking one of the trails at a nearby park we came across a pair of Eastern Hog-nosed Snakes. The female was about 3 foot long and about two inches in diameter and was a dark gray almost black pattern. The male about 1 3/4 foot long, yellow tan with black splotches pattern. The female was very irritated that we stopped to check them out lol. I used the Seek app to identify them as we've only ever seen garter snakes at this park.

Some real gems in this one I love the crayon comment  I bet Cody Ware got a nice talking too from daddy after the race since he caused about half the cautions.
 

Tempers flared and by the end of the Martinsville race some of the cars looked like they survived a demolition derby. Martin Truex jr won the race after passing his teammate Denny Hamlin and became the first repeat winner of the season. Ryan Blaney had the dominant car of the day but a bad pit stop where the front tire changer forgot to pull the air hose from in front of his car caused him to take the hose and wrench with him when he drove out of his pitbox which resulted in a penalty. He did manage to make it back to 11th place.

We got our puppy today. It's a little shih-tzu. My wife had one when I met her and then we got 2 around the year 2000. I didn't even know what they were when I met my wife but now I love them. I start my volunteer job tomorrow as the P A announcer for local high school baseball team. I should practice. "Now up for the Moonshiners...center fielder....number 01...Hooobieee Harrrtkkiinnssssss!" How did that sound?

Yep, around here a booger is what comes out of your nose. I guess you could pick a booger and say "Looks like I got the little bugger."
