RogerDuke got a reaction from Spike in The last 24 hours
Your two posts remind me of one of the reasons I hate to travel. The only bad traffic we went through was Buffalo. We took the scenic route home though. We stayed at a place called Belhurst Castlle....not a real castle by your standards Hoss but pretty cool by America's standards. We had a dinner cruise out of Watkins Glen, the NASCAR town. It was our silver anniversary.

Word out of Detroit is the next Camaro will be a 4 door electric sedan possible crossover like Ford did with the Mustang. Rumors say the last year for the current Camaro is 2023. With Malibu production ending in 2022 this will leave Chevy without a ICE car in 2024 to use for Nascar unless Nascar changes it's rules.

I nearly witnessed a nasty head-on crash last week. We have a lot of tractors on the road at the moment with the inevitable queues behind them. As I was on my way home for lunch, I got stuck at the back of one of these queues. About six cars got past on a straight section of road and then next in line was a semi with a lime tanker. He decided he could pass on the next really short straight, but spotted a car coming the other way as he drew alongside the tractor. The truck must've cut back in with inches to spare to the tractor, and the car had to brake hard and pull into the verge to miss it. The really stupid thing is that the tractor pulled in about 100 yards later to let the traffic past. Knowing the road, I was expecting that, but I guess the truck driver didn't know!

Found out something new about the wife's car yesterday. Apparently there were two suspension options for it, softer suspension for more of a luxury ride and a sporty suspension. Hers has the luxury ride suspension. I took the car yesterday morning to get the rear springs replaced since the right rear one is broken but the auto parts store shipped the sporty springs to the mechanic. Hopefully they ship out the right springs this time, just sucks that we have to wait another week for them to get in.
Almost didn't make it there yesterday morning. Some crazy old man was doing 50mph in a 65mph zone on the interstate and decided he needed to get off at the next exit. It was bad enough that this was also where I475 & I75 merge together and he was already in the far left lane. I moved over when I got a break between traffic. He just, uncaring for the speed everyone else was doing, moved on over. The semi on the left of me had to slam on the brakes to avoid running into the back of him then the nut comes over in front of me and I had to slam on the brakes and prayed the semi truck driver behind me was paying attention, thank God he was. And this crazy old fart was driving a tin can death trap Chevy Aveo. In a car like that I wouldn't be taking chances with my life like that. I told my wife about it and she said that same nut almost caused a huge accident a few weeks ago on I475 riding in the fast lane at 50mph.
Tuesday while heading home I seen a pile of free things set out after a weekend garage sale, scored a his and hers cross country ski's set, even included the ski carrier for the roof of a car. I usually don't stop at those piles as they're usually just junk but seen the ski's so I doubled back and I'm glad I did. Ski's just need some new boot holder things but other than that they're in great shape, no breaks or cracks.

This scene is from the end of the Season 2 episode Feed the Kitty. Skipper:"I guess I learned how to be an expert juggler all for nothing." Gilligan:"Come on Skipper. You didn't turn out to be an expert juggler at all." Skipper:"Oh yeah! Watch this Gilligan!"(bends down, picks up 3 coconuts, starts juggling them. One gets lodged up in a tree, stops juggling, looks confused.) Gilligan:"What's a matter Skipper?" Skipper:"Well, I could've sworn I had 3 coconuts."(Looks up, coconut falls from tree, conking him on the head. He looks dazed, stumbles backwards and sideways each way, as we fade out.)

I'll go get a Coconut, a Papaya, a Pineapple and-" Wrongway Feldman:"Gilligan!" Gilligan:"I got the bananas!"

RogerDuke reacted to Spike in SRX Series
If you watched it Saturday night you seen shades of the old Awesome Bill from Dawsonville. They put Bill Elliot and Chase Elliot on the first row for the first heat and Bill took advantage of it and lead all but one lap.
Helio Castroneves dominated the second Heat race. He's really getting the hang of full body race cars during this series, would be interesting to see what he could do in a Nascar Cup car.
The Main Feature Race was once again a race between the Elliot's. Awesome Bill lead most of the laps but pushed too hard in a turn on a restart and fell back to 5th but managed to get back to 3rd. Bobby Labonte also had a good night finishing 3rd, 4th and 4th. Tony Stewart won the series Championship.
Main Feature Race Results
1 Chase Elliot
2 Tony Stewart
3 Bill Elliot
4 Bobby Labonte
5 Paul Tracy
6 Ernie Francis Jr
7 Michael Waltrip
8 Tony Kanaan
9 Helio Castroneves
10 Hailie Deegan
11 Marco Andretti
12 Willy T Ribbs

RogerDuke reacted to HossC in Something I Noticed....Have You?
I've just watched the scene a few times, and I think that the three parked cars (Jesse's pickup, Swamp Molly's pickup and the General) appear to be in the right places when the angle changes. There's room behind them for the truck to enter the water.
A couple of things I did notice:
1) Rosco's driving a '74 Plymouth Satellite when he gives Enos permission to make the arrest, but in subsequent shots he's driving a '75 Plymouth Fury.
2) From when Rosco speeds past Enos to when he hits the truck takes about 12 seconds. Even if he was only going at 30mph, he would still travel 176 yards in that time, yet when he gets out of his crashed car, Enos and the walkie talkie in the road are no more than 20 yards behind him.

I just watched Swamp Molly. You guys ever notice when Bo is in the " Naked Baby Ice Cream " truck, that there are cars in front of him as he braces for the hit from behind but when he gets hit and lunges forward, there is clear space to go into the water?

This is a cool coincidence. In my episode review thread, the next episode just happens to be 10 Million Dollar Sheriff and I was planning on watching it tomorrow for Rosco's birthday.....and then I saw this post from last year where I mentioned the Rolls. Happy birthday Sunday Sheriff!

RogerDuke reacted to rwd81 in Keeping tradition for 14 year old post!
Hey Group. So I'm just trying to keep a tradition post from 14 years ago I'm definitely a brand new member only been here a few months but found this forum awsome and just want to help out those that prefer to watch the dukes of hazzard in episode order where it makes sense. Credit to the poster. The list is a bit different then how they were released on the DVD sets or the order they were aired. I want to point out . S3 is missing " Uncle Boss and Baa Baa White Sheep" I guess that s the order you could watch the episodes in. Bo Duke isn't in Baa Baa White sheep.

Ring notification woke us up last night, apparently police were looking for someone last night and they set off our Ring doorbell camera when they were checking around our building. Took me and the wife about an hour or so to get back to sleep. I usually turn the ringer off when we go to bed but forgot to last night.
I watched this episode of The Orville the other day called Majority Rule that mirrored our current Social Media problem even though it was made in 2017. Even though the show is basically a Star Trek The Next Generation spoof that episode was very interesting to watch considering everything that happened in 2020.
