It looks like there's a tie-in with Mercyhurst University. There's an article in The Merciad.

I scored a bit of gold at a garage sale over the weekend, a Nascar collectible car signed by the King, Richard Petty. It was in a box with other 1:18 and 1:24 scale muscle cars. It didn't have a price on it so I made an offer of $10 for that car and the lady said ok. When I got home I took the car out of the box and seen Petty's signature and my mouth fell on the floor. My wife did a Google search which brought up a current ebay listing for the same car but unsigned going for $140. 

Cousin Hobie I have. Maybe it's that white car Luke was driving in Reunion(1997) when they were in town looking for Daisy's kidnappers.

Rumor is RickWareRacing might scale back to a stronger two car team for 2022, if that's the case he could stand to make some money selling or leasing one or two of his charters. I know the team is going to lose the RPM charter they're currently leasing. 
Racing is back at Watkins Glen is this weekend, since the Olympics are still going on you'll have to check your local listings to see which channel the races are on. 
On a side note Indycar is racing on the streets of Nashville Tennessee this weekend. Hopefully it's a good race.

Fakebook is my new name fer that place as we have to mind what we say and do over there. Count me in Hobie. You always do the Buttermilk 5.00 every year around my barn and the least I can do to return the favor and race in the Moonshine 400.....although it isn't quite as fun as when that Popcorn Sutton feller used to be in it. 

I hope you will get to. I love pictures of where the first 5 episodes were filmed. Hoss will help you as soon as he sees this. It's good to hear from you.

Thank you for accepting me on the site.  I remember Dukes when I was younger and the girls having a crush on John Schneider, LOL.  Good times and great memories come to mind.
I love reading posts and listening to ideas about the show- most of all, I enjoy the enthusiasm.
I pretty much have a simple life.  I love listening to old music- like music before I was born- The Beatles, 1960s girl groups and just anything upbeat and happy

That was in 'Dukes Strike it Rich', although I don't think Boss got a chance to call her as he and Rosco ran outside when Cooter towed his car.

Incidentally, in 'Witness: Jesse Duke', Boss tells Jesse that "Lulu's away in Decatur visiting her sister Hortense, so you can use her bedroom." Other than her original appearance in 'The Return of Hughie Hogg', I think that's the only other mention of Aunt Hortense.

Hey, I was wondering, wasn't there a woman Boss was going to try to scam in a phony land deal of some sort  ( or something like that) and he was looking through the phone book for a victim and he looked at the name,  " Hortensce Bledsoe, if that isn't a rich old lady, I'll eat my hat." ,  You guys remember that one? The previous mention of the name reminded me of this. Maybe the writers forgot they had used the name already?

Roger, after visiting the castle yesterday I went to the coastal town of Dungarvan. As you enter the town there's a sign saying that it's twinned with Erie, Pennsylvania - isn't that somewhere near you?

BTW. Dungarvan also has a 12th century castle, but I didn't get to see it.

That's very cool! I'd like to visit some castles one day! Especially Dracula's castle. They  have one out  I  840 here in Tennessee. It reminds me of Dracula's castle but it has something to do with  The Renascence fair held there each year.  

I have a couple of friends from Romania - I'll have to ask if they've ever visited Bran Castle, which is the castle usually associated with Dracula (despite there being no direct connection).

I went to another castle today. It was built between the 13th and 15th centuries, and still has a cannonball embedded in the wall from when it was attacked in 1599!

I guess 1880s is historic where you live, Roger. The castle where I live is only about 700 years older than that!
