Hmmm, never heard of pharoah ants. I hope they never come around here. Our pumpkins aren't doing very good. The ones that have survived the woodchucks just aren't getting very big. Tomatoes are good though...especially the cherry tomatoes.

LOL That sounds like something my dad would do. He reminds me a lot of Uncle Cy Robertson from Duck Dynasty. Believe it or not, I've never owned a credit card. My wife has a couple that she has had since before we met. Nowadays you can't even rent a hotel room without one. 

I don't do much technology so I don't know what loop means but I do know that once in awhile I put my Dukes soundtrack CD in when I'm driving down dirt roads, like on the way to the dirt track. I just love Rosco singing "My old dog his name is Flash. I don't know why 'cause he ain't too fast. He runs two steps then he runs out of gas. In a one dog race he'd come in last."

The folks of Hazzard County are much more exciting than me. 

I've seen all six movies and there wasn't a single scene where a car jumped anything. Despite that flaw they are pretty good.

Everybody here is from Hazzard and now Joe is too and we are excited to have a new guy in town. You sound like the kind of person who will be staying around a long time so that's awesome. Tell us more about your love of the show. Favorite character, season, episode, scene, etc. There's so much to explore here. Feel free to check old some of the older threads and revive them. This place is the best electronic Dukes of Hazzard museum on the planet. It will take you months to go through it all.

All he needs to do is steal some more slot machines and stick them in the local businesses. Then he can get out of this mess and save the orphanage at the same time. It worked back in '79 and it can work again.

Just got back from taking the grandson to see the latest Spiderman movie. It was pretty good. There was a huge shocker at the end....one that had our jaws dropping. Anybody been to a movie lately?

All we know is that the Dukes were not racists in any way, shape or form ......so that might be a good place to end the discussion. 

I got a lot of yard work done today and split some firewood and took a dirt bike ride....and surprised my wife by doing laundry!

Thanks for sharing that Spike. I suspect I will never get the "Enos" spin-off I'm hoping for. I am thankful they put the cartoons out. I still watch them once in a while.

Sorry to hear about your two losses Spike. Even if we live to be 100 it is still a blink of an eye compared to eternity. Everybody who is 100 says the same thing. "It went so fast". When someone dies young it is especially tragic so you have my sympathy. *hugs*

Hobie makes a great point. With all this talk of inclusiveness in our society how often do you see anybody on television with a southern accent? Considering how many there are, they are by far the most underrepresented folks in entertainment.

That's pretty cool that we have two active members from the Netherlands when they are in the Final. Soccer is very popular with American kids who play but still has a long ways to go if it wants to challenge American football, baseball, basketball or even hockey on a professional level in popularity.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck Spike. If you end up putting up an outhouse make sure the arrows aren't the dynamite ones. And I wouldn't leave my car magazines in there just in case. I wonder if you are talking about chronic wasting disease. Southern Pennsylvania has had some cases but I haven't yet heard of any up here by Lake Erie. Deer are overpopulated enough. If hunters stop hunting because they are worried about the safety of the meat, deer will become even more overpopulated. 

Sadly the Duke's original farmhouse in northern Georgia was tore down.
