  1. Very true. Different words mean different things to different people. My wife doesn't consider me to be a redneck but I do. Think about that. The two people in the world who know me the best can't even agree on what I am. But since I know me better than she knows me I'll win that debate....I'M A REDNECK!
  2. Didn't know that. Thanks for telling us Hoss.
  3. wife ( I'd better edit this....mine's awesome but not every man is so lucky)
  4. Since I don't really live in the Appalachian Mountains I don't know if I would have been labeled an Appalacian American had it caught on. It's pretty weird how some things catch on and others don't. I guess I would have just considered myself to be a redneck if Appalachian American wouldn't have applied. I never have called myself a hillbilly that often. One of my favorite songs is Charlie Daniels "What this world needs is a few more Rednecks". I sure do wish Rosco would have caught him in his speed trap.
  5. Okay, I'm a bit embarressed to admit it but I recorded it and watched it last night. The last time I saw it was in the theater. Even then it was reluctantly. At the time it had been out for quite a few weeks and was likely ending its run and I just couldn't resist seeing the General Lee on the big screen. It is still as stupid as I remember it but there was some highlights, like the General Lee and briefly hearing Waylon's voice. And there were some good laughs. I think my favorite was "We prefer to be called Applachian Americans". I'll probably never see it again and I wish I could compliment it more but it was just bad.....but then again it is unfair to compare it with the original. Everything in the history of movie and TV entertainment is bad by comparison. If I wasn't comparing it to the original I would just call it okay...even better if the language wasn't so bad.
  6. Yesterday the Dukes movie (with Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson) was on twice. Hmmm, I think it was IFC....not sure what that stands for. I'm not a fan of the movie but it was still nice to scroll down through the guide channel and see DUKES OF HAZZARD. Maybe someday the series will come back. If they can run the Dukes movie then why not the series? There are only about a trillion worse things on TV.
  7. That's serious stuff. I'm glad no harm was done. Hopefully they'll catch the person before anything worse happens. Let us know if there are any new developments. Nothing new around here except way below average temperatures for early March. Lake Erie may be awhile before it thaws out.
  8. What a hysterical day that was.....and historical. Thanks so much for posting these. It' s so good to have PJ back here in Hazzard County. It sure doesn't seem like 40 years whenever I put a DVD in and hit play.
  9. I turned it over once in awhile to see how things were going but didn't watch more than 10 minutes at a time.....just too much to do around the house. I still haven't had time to sit down for any length of time for a race yet. The season is young.
  10. It is good to hear from you again PJ. It's always fun to dig up old threads. This place is so vast when it comes to old treasures that are just waiting to be excavated and revived. When I retire someday I'm going to spend a lot of time sorting through the thousands of boxes tucked away in the HazzardNet's attic and basement. Meadowmufn sure is a packrat. I'm glad all this stuff has been saved. It's like a museum of Hazzard County history.
  11. Happy birthday on Friday Daisy. Hazzard County would have been pretty boring without you. Well, maybe not boring...just not nearly as exciting. We love you and hope you have a great birthday!
  12. It's always sad to see another one fall even if he wasn't a big part of the show. 93...can't complain about that. Thanks for telling us.
  13. Our power was out all day Sunday except a couple hours in the evening before it went out again. Those were some pretty strong gusts. 68 was the highest one recorded in Erie Pa yesterday.
  14. You're not the only one who feels that way. I don't know much about it but my NASCAR friends are upset. One says he's going to quit watching but he says that all the time and still watches.
  15. Well, it's the Dukes favorite NASCAR track so I hope that brings me luck.
