  1. Really FUNNY!!!

I usually look for rare videos on YT, but I confess it's the first time I see it.

    Thanks for sharing.

Spencer Lucarelli is the name of the boy... and Spenserelli is the name of the one who loaded the video... being italian, I can say that Spenserelli is, for sure, Spencer + Lucarelli, (I know it from the sound of the two names coupling), LOL

  2. I just can't say it enough.....

    this is my favorite thread.....

    thanks again....and again...and again!

It's the SAME for me, Roger. Uh, HossC's threads too are great (for example the one 'bout Hazzard's square).

It's a bit sad no other member of the site says anything about this GREAT thread, but, as I've already said, if there's something I understood, along these years, it's that people's esteem and appreciation is not a matter of answers' number (and this thread has TONS of views, no matter how many people are taking part with their words... a LOT of people are viewing it... and I promoted it on my "Enos Strate devoted page" on FB, to catch more people).

  3. I'd probably just call it a tin bath.

In 'Officer Daisy Duke', Bo and Luke are arguing in the kitchen when Luke says "Another thing, the bathtub ring is disgusting. And them blond hairs of yours in the drain don't do one thing...". A drain would suggest a bathroom.

Thank you, HossC. So, I was right about a bathroom and a bathtube, someway. Never shown, anyway.

  4. Another great chapter! Thank you so much for making these stories i1976, I just love them.

although there are some spelling mistakes they are easy to read over. But i can not remember the dukes having a bathroom, I remember they have a big tin bath bucket,I do not know the correct word for it =S It can be seen during the episode 'High Octane'

I remember the big tin bath bucket... but I also rememebr a bathroom with a bathtube. Or, at least, I remember Daisy complaining about Bo's hair in the bathtube (in "Officer Daisy Duke"?). I'm goin' to check... tomorrow... now gotta go to bed, LOL.

  5. Hey i1976,

I've read your latest chapter and I can't say anything more then AMAZING. The depth and how you keep the stories real is just amazing, very good. The best is the scene at the house, I even felt like I was there. While reading the story I have the idea I am watching a two part episode of the Dukes.

I couldn't find a better way to describe it.

WOW. Thank you very much. It's a BIG compliment: being able to keep the story real but at the same time giving you the idea is Hazzard (as you're watching an episode)... it's what I'm trying to do, and I'm happy if I've managed to do it.

I like to write stories with more drama and angst than in the TV-show, but at the same time I don't want to be disrespectful to the show and its characters (any character); so, when I write, I try to remember how the characters interacted, how they talked, how they looked at each other... how they were in the show. I like to give Enos more depth and to show is serious side (the one seen in episodes like "Enos' last chance", for example), but at the same time I can't forget his funny, clumsy and naive side; and it's the same for the other characters... and for Hazzard in general (and when I think of Hazzard I can't help but thinking of a familiar, loving and friendly atmosphere; I can't help but thinking of Dukes as the best friends someone could have, loving their sense of justice, honesty, their family's values, and so on). I'm trying to "push" serious topics and dramatic plots into Hazzard, without "deforming" it, without transforming Hazzard and the characters in something totally different. I want to "add" and to "develop" without "changing" too much.

I'm really glad you're liking the story. :-))

  6. OK, just posted chapter 11.

Dukes finally understood what happened to Enos (more or less... they're still missing a piece of the puzzle)... clever (and caring) Dukes.

The thorny topic of this story is totally revealed, now, so read what I wrote in the "Feedback-Shattered"-thread, please (if you haven't done it, yet).

    Thank you. :-))

  7. "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams

Here's what George Bernard Shaw had to say about liars:

"The liar's punishment is not in the least that he is not believed, but that he cannot believe anyone else."

LOVED these two, especially the first one, ROFL.

    Does someone love Peanuts?

Charlie Brown: "What if everyone was like you? What if we all ran away from our problems? Huh? What then? What if everyone in the whole world suddenly decided to run away from his problems?

Linus: Well, at least we'll all be running in the same direction!

[Charlie Brown is behind a tree.]

Charlie Brown: Real love is standing behind a tree so you can see her when she leaves her house. Of course it can sometimes be embarassing. Like when you discover you've been standing on the wrong side of the tree.

ROFL. I LOVE Peanuts (Charlie Brown is my favourite one).

  8. Sometimes I stumble on quotes of famous writers that really made me wonder, saying, "WOW it's SO true", and made me ponder on various side of life, learning a lot of myself and of people around me.

I recently found this one: "People who are unable to lie, think that everybody is unable to lie", Kafka.

"In your life you'll meet a lot of masks and few persons", Luigi Pirandello (GREAT italian writer).

Somewhere I read that "any of us looks for something of himself into books". Actually I'm a bit too much into understanding how people relate to each other, what's honesty, what's idealism, what's duplicity, what's opportunism, and so on (how much of it there is in any of us), and it's why I've been so impressed with those quotes, 'cause I've found them totally meaningful and true (... unfortunately :-?). Maybe... we all are masks, especially today, on the web.

I'd just like to share with you quotes from books, movies, songs, and so on; quotes meaningful for you, those kind of quotes that, when you read them, you start, saying "OMG, It's so true!!!". I think some famous writers understood perfectly what life, and human beings, are.

DOH's quotes are allowed, too. ;)

  9. Those are some pretty good drawings. My brother has gotten into anime. That's like the only thing he seems to draw anymore. He has some anime drawing books and they seem to help his drawings. He's almost 14 and he does really well. He's pretty impressive with them.

Uh, well, I'm a bit older than 14 (just a bit, ROFL) and I love drawing anime. Beside, anime are not just only for youngsters  (there are great anime, and animation movies, for everybody).

And.... drawing is drawing. I started when I was a child, using anime as model (since then, anime as Candy Candy, Georgie, Captain Tsubasa, ... old anime); nobody taught me to draw, and I created my own characters, too. Good ol' times.

It's a long time I don't draw anymore, and it's time to take a pencil in my hand, again. :)

Hey, K-Duke, if you want to share your brother's drawings, you're welcome. :)

  10. A new chapter is up.

Tonight, on the Dukes: A classic brawl at the Boar's Nest, Enos standing against Rosco and refusing to arrest Bo and Luke, and Dukes making a plan sitting around their kitchen's table.

Read "A newspaper and a report", and enjoy it. ;-)

    Thank you.

  11. https://www.facebook.com/enosstrate.devotedpage?ref=tn_tnmn

I'm trying (shy and awkward attempt) to create a page devoted to Enos Strate on FB.

Feel free to add videos, pictures, memories (if you ever met Sonny at Dukesfest and so on) on it.

I wanted to create a page on Enos, collecting various things, BUT I didn't know on what site, and how. So, I decided to try to "catch" fans of Enos on FB... I don't know if FB works for such a thing... uh, anyway, if it doesn't work I'll delete it. Simply. :-)

  12. I think these pictures are really precious. A precious gift to this Forum, and I'm not saying it just to please you, but 'cause I really think it. (I'm not the kind of person who "lies" for convenience... I say what I feel and what I think, sincerly, or I don't say anything ).

And sincerly I repeat: keep up the great work, 'cause this is the thread read the most!!!! YEAHHHH.

Hey... have you Sonny's pictures??? :p

  13. Just a little reflection on writing.

There was a time I just wrote fanfic, with no clue about statics... and be content of a single review. 'Till "Memories?"

I don't know why, maybe it's because of me (doubting of my writing) or maybe something changed into fanfiction.net's realm, or maybe I simply became aware of something I didn't notice, previously.

I'm pretty sensitive to changes in athmosphere wherever I go, and I couldn't help but notice that a LOT of old writers are stopping writing (GOOD and TALENTED writers), and I don't know why: Hazzard's realm is dying? Are they noticing that strange change in athmosphere, like me? Or... simply.. they're interested in other fandoms, right now.

So, I'm wondering when I'll stop writing, 'cause it'll happen.... it's normal, and I'm wondering how it'll happen: will I be interested in something else beside DOH? or why? Sometimes I wonder WHY, and WHEN, a fanfic writer just decides "OK, stop, I've had enough".

Uh, no, I'm not saying I'm going to stop NOW, just a reflection. :-))

I have to finish "Shattered", anyway, and I just have to find the naivety of my first writing... and I'm finding it again.
