  1. She nodded, laughing. "Yeah they can be....but they mean well sugar..." She soon gets a call from the other side of the room and is put back to work. Bo's shoulder's tensed underneath Luke's hands when he heard what B.L was doing. He breathed gently in an effort to stop the worry flooding his emotions and taking over his actions. This scared him....this was not lke him at all....what was happening to him, why was such normal things hitting him so hard all of a sudden? "Well its good that she...uh....has found somethin' ta do....and she's with Daisy so....she'll be alright...."
  2. Daisy smiled and waved at Luke as he left, before picking up and tray and saying to B.L. "Nah, Bo was just worried 'bout us is all. Usually I aint workin very long afore them boys come in and make sure everythin's alright." Bo lifted his head off Jesse's shoudler as Luke pulled back into the farm yard and smiled back at his older cousin, nodding as he said everything was fine, although he was stll a little worried, sensing Luke wasn't exactly telling the whole truth. Still, he trusted Luke and if it was something he should know about then Luke would tell him. As Luke sat on the porch, he slowly got to his feet and carefully walked down the steps to sit on the second one down from Luke, sitting in front of him and leaning back against him.
  3. Daisy nodded and headed back outside with him, smiling at B.L "She'll be fine, she's goin' ta stick behind the bar until you two can give her some 'confidence' if ya know what I mean...Don't worry about Bo, maybe this scare has just kinda, made him think differently about things is all..."
  4. Daisy frowned, slightly, also sitting on a barell opposite. "What d'ya mean ain't Bo's thoughts? Someone else still controllin' him?" She quickly looked through the door as a burst of noise rose up and she smiled as she saw her stand in girl taking care of some buisness.
  5. Eventually Bo opened his eyes again when he felt himself drifiting off to sleep. He was still tired but he was too scared to really rest. He sighed contentedly and looked out over the farm that had been his home since he could remember. He loved it here and the thought that Uncle Jesse may have made him leave had hurt more than any of his illness ever could. He looked over at his Uncle with a smile, his Uncle Jesse had always been there through everything and he was so grateful he didn't really ever know how to repay him for the lifetime of Love, Happiness and Care he had given not just to him but to Luke and Daisy too. Heck, were it not for Uncle Jesse taking them in, he would be with some strange family and wouldn't have ever got to build up the great relationship he had iwth his cousins. Oh yes, he had so much to be thankful to Uncle Jesse for. He wrapped his long arms round his Uncle's waist and leant his head on his shoulder. Daisy sighed, she knew her cousins were protective, especially Luke. "Luke....B.L's already waited some tables....she got a good scare from the red haired guy in there but she managed to fight him off...she just needs some more confidence is all. She's doing fine." She frowned quizzically again as Luke explained about Bo. "Well why would he be so upset about B.L working? I work here it wouldn't be no different...."
  6. Bo sighed and sank back lazily onto the swing, feeling the gentle rocking soothing his already worried nerves and the cool breeze calming the tremble he had developed. He closed his eyes and tilted his head back, breathing deep breaths of fresh country air, thankful for each and every one. Daisy nodded and looked sheepish at Luke's almost angry expression. "Well she was bored and....well I asked her if she did want to work here and she said yes....it's nice to have someone to work with....she is a big girl you know." She remembers the red haired guy though and looks even more sheepish. "WHy is Bo so worried?"
  7. Bo looked up and nodded, pushing himself to his feet using the table and chair, leaning on the wall slightly and then reaching out for Jesse to walk through the door and onto the porch. Daisy headed over to the bar and gave B.L a few more orders, before spotting Luke. "Hey Luke! What are you doin' here? I didn't think you'd want ta let Bo outta your sight fer 5 seconds!"
  8. Bo watched him exit the house and sighed slightly as he heard the roar of the General's powerful engine, imagining the wind in his hair and the thrill of making a jump as he heard it speed away. He was getting better, there was no doubting it now, but he couldn't help but feel that the recovery just wasn't going quick enough.
  9. Bo didn't really want Luke to go, not everything that had happened. But he also wanted to know that everything was alright. HIs breath caught slightly in his throat as it constricted a little in fear as he said the next words. "Yeah....please...."
  10. Bo shrugged. "Dunno....just got that feelin' is all....don't matter, Daisy'll CB if they need you right?"
  11. Bo nodded at Uncle Jesse, grinning wildly. He still wasn't back up to par and he knew it, but he was indeed getting better. Now all he had to do was deal with his defiance problem and he'd be well on the road to getting back to normal. "I know that Luke....s'just I...I just have a bad feelin' 'bout it is all." He finished off his second sandwich and finished him milk.
  12. Bo grinned at Uncle Jesse. "I ain't worried bout Daisy, but that's just the point. B.L ain't never gone to the Boar's Nest without me and Luke and sometimes Cooter...she ain't never been there with just Daisy 'afore. I know she ain't made of porcalin but....well I don't know....just bein' protective I guess......" He trailed off slightly as he realised what he had just done...he had said a good couple of sentences without stopping for breath....
  13. Bo nodded with a mouthful of food, swallowing and frowning. "You think B.L's gonna be alright over there? I mean it gets rough fer someone who ain't used to it...especially fer a girl like B.L." He took another swig of milk, looking between Jesse and Luke.
  14. By the time they reached the kitchen, Bo had managed to calm himself enough that he could sit down at the table without bursting into hysteris again everytime he looked at Luke. He couldn't however stop chuckling. To everyone else it sounded like Bo was giggling, but Bo Duke does not giggle. You tell him he's giggling he gets angry....the last guy to turn round and say he was giggling had wound up out cold on the floor. So it was just safeer for everyone to say he was chuckling. He watched as Luke read the letter "Whatcha got there Luke?" He said while grabbing a couple of sandwhiches and drinking some of his milk.
  15. Bo barley hears what Luke was saying because he was laughing so hard. The look on Luke's face as he was about to fall off the bed was priceless and he vainly tried to tell Luke so....but it just didn't work, it came out more like "You.....face.....off....bed....funny...."
  16. Bo grins and laughs as he finally manages to quickly tickle Luke and Luke falls backwards off the bed. He looks to the door as Uncle Jesse calls them and gets slowly to his feet, walking round to the other side of the bed and offering his hand to Luke, still laughing. "Need a hand up?"
  17. Bo smiled at the ruffle and was quick to do the same to Luke, before reaching over to tickle him.
  18. Bo watched as Jesse left, feeling happier now that he knew Uncle Jesse was happy and that Luke wasn't mad at him for pulling away earlier. As Luke tended to his injury, he couldn't help but wince and arch slightly but forced himself to stay as still as possible, fighting back the urge to run away again. When Luke was done he turned round slightly and smiled at him,. "Thanks Luke..."
  19. Bo quickly grabbed Luke's hand as he went to walk from the room. "Uh Luke...do you want to uh...I mean could you finish....dealing with my back....I'm sorry 'bout before....I was still kinda in the nightmare...please...."
  20. Bo gently hugged him back. "It don't matter none Uncle Jesse. I knew what I's was doin', you had every right ta punish me. I know ya love me no matter what....just gotta take the punishment for my actions....I understand that....."
  21. She smiled gently at her friend. "It's alright, don't worry bout it. We'll get Bo and Luke in here yer first couple o'times waitin' tables and they'll help ya build up yer confidence, that's how I learnt. Till then, just stick to behind the bar." Bo frowned slightly, squeezing Jesse's hand. "Well o'course I do. It wasn't yer fault, my knees have out is all. I deserve a good switchin' after everythin' I put y'all through...."
  22. Daisy came over as B.L wiped tables and gently whispered. "It's alright, i've had more practise than ya. We'll get you confident at this in no time, fer now just stick to servin' behind the bar, its gonna get a whole lot rougher in here before long." Bo nodded gratefully to Luke, closing his eyes for a breif moment as he collected himself, looking over to Jesse as his hand rested on his cheek. "Uncle Jesse....what's a matter?"
  23. Daisy watched as B.L fought the guy off with ease but quickly darted back behind the bar. She'd been like that the first time a guy had grabbed her, she'd just have to get Bo and Luke round here the first couple of times when B.L started working to help her through it for a little while. Having them there built up her confidence until she could fight well enough on her own. She smiled encouragingly at her from across the room and quickly got back to serving. Bo shook his head, biting his bottom lip. "No...no way I don't want anyone touchin' it....don't come near it...." He was sensible enough to know not to tell Luke and Jesse to stay away from him. He wanted them both there, he needed to be reassured that they were indeed safe.
  24. Daisy laughed and was about to reply when she got a couple of calls from a table. She smiled apologetically before walking over to them. As soon as the 'shine touched his back, Bo jerked sharply, crying out and turning his back away from Luke. "No! Luke stop it! That hurts please stop it...." Now he was determined not to let Luke or Uncle Jesse get at his back. He knew they were only trying to help and tried to resist the temptation to leap off the bed and run somewhere else, anywhere where they wouldn't get at his back. He was however, positioned in a way so that they couldn't get to his back eaisly and he could bolt as soon as they tried it again.
  25. Daisy smiled. "Well yeah, we make a good team! You should ask Boss...that is of course as long as you don't mind wearin' shorts." She raised an eyebrow at her, smiling. Bo looked into Luke's deep blue eyes and knew that he wasn't lying, he really was safe and he knew it. He nodded at Luke and gave a small smile of thanks before turning to Jesse and repeating the action, and yet he still refused to let go of the pillow he clung to.
