  1. Bo sniffed gently into his pillow and shouted "Yeah sure...." As soon as they reached the barn, she let Luke move in first and then shut the door behind them, folding her arms and dropping the basket to the floor. "What's wrong Luke."
  2. Bo's shoulders shook as the door closed although no sound came out because they, along with the floods of tears, all became buried in the pillow. Daisy shook her head and picked up the basket by the door. "Hey Luke....come help me get the eggs would ya....I just did my nails..."
  3. Bo nodded, turning his head so it buried into his pillow, knowing the real reason why he was leaving him alone, seeing it in his cousin's face....he wasn't sure about all this either. Daisy noticed how the low mumbling had stopped, she had heard Bo's full name being used and looked over with raised eyebrows to Jesse and B.L
  4. Bp squeezed his eyes shut, silent tears slipping out from his eyelashes. "I can't Luke....I cant fight that everyday of my life....I don't wanna get my hopes up and pretend like everythings alright to haveeverythin come crashin down again....I can't do it Luke I can't..."
  5. Luke had done it again. Seen straight through everything Bo was telling him and finding the root of the problem. But this time, there was nothing Luke could say that would make Bo change his mind about how he was feeling. "Luke...I ain't...I can't....." He bites his lip and looks away, looking anywhere but at Luke. "I cna't fight no more Luke....I dont have anythin' left ta fight with. This has all just been....one bad thing after another....and....I dont wanna be disappointed no more....i cant stand it...."
  6. Bo sighed and shrugged. "Luke it ain't nothin' really. It's just....a lot to get used to...you know...."
  7. Bo chuckled, although it always sounded more like a giggle. "Luke it aint helpin; that you look like one."
  8. Bo shook his head "S'nothin'..."
  9. Bo winced slightly at the intense look Luke gave him, wishing now he hadnt said anything. One because he hated doctors in general and had no desire to go near another one for a very long time and also because he knew Luke would go to any lengths to make what he said reality and that scared him a little. He nodded gratefully though but continued to have a thoughtful look on his face
  10. Bo nodded slightly "What we gonna do if....if I am gonna be like this permanantly Luke? I ain't gonna be much help to anyone no more..."
  11. Bo bit his bottom lip gently as he looked over to Luke again, not wanting to worry him but needing to know something. "Hey Luke....what if this.....you know...weakness....is permanant? I mean....we dont know exactly what's goin' on in here.....do we." He was pointing to his chest, and it was true. The doctors hadnt actually told them exactly what was wrong with Bo, only that he had an infection... "WHat if I have to be on pills.....or worse....the rest of my life?"
  12. Bo laughed along with him. "Yeah I remember...." He watched as Luke slid down in the bed, knowing that this had wore him out just as much as it had Bo.
  13. Bo shrugged and took a moment to asses everything "My back hurts a little I guess....but I've had worse knocks to my head before....like when ya were younger and you took a swing at me with yer baseball bat and I hit my head on the wall....put a dent in it...."
  14. Bo looked over and smiled, nodding his head. "Better than I have been in a long time."
  15. Too tired and too too preoccupied, Bo didn't notice the worried glances from Jesse and Daisy nor Luke's mouthed words. He sank onto the bed and quickly turned onto his front to spare inflicting anything more onto his back. "Thanks Luke...."
  16. Bo chuckled slightly, accpeting Luke's hand and hoistin himself to his feet, saying sarcastically. "Oh yeah. If you so much as take one step ahead of me right now I'm gonna go runnin' across the yard." He slipped his arm round Luke's waist and started with walking towards the house with him.
  17. At the first touch to the back of his head, Bo flinched and tensed a little before slowly relaxing again and leaning into Luke, wondering how it was that Luke always knew exactly what to say. When had his older cousin become so wise and knowledgeable....he didnt know when because it had seemed that Luke had always known everything, always been there with advice and supportive words.
  18. Bo looked up at Luke, ashamed and upset that he couldn't do the simpliest of things. The look in Luke's eyes and the way he spoke told Bo there was no way he was going to wriggle out of this one, no matter what he did. He looked away and nodded his head, the hand that Luke still had a hold of trembling ever so slightly. He put his free one on the ground and attempted to push himself to his feet.
  19. After a couple more trips to and from the barn, Bo finally managed to get the chores done, but by this time he was practically crawling back to the barn to return the bags. He wouldn't admit it, but his back hurt and his legs felt like lead. He tossed the bags back into their place and sighed deeply before turning around and heading over to chickens to round them up for the night. What he hadn't counted on was those chickens getting under his feet....and his feet being too slow and unresponsive to avoid the inevitable. He tripped and fell backwards, cracking the back of his head against a tree. He gasped and clutched the back of his head, blinking laying sprawled at the bottom of the tree, his back pressed against the trunk.
  20. Bo looked over smiling again at Luke, before bracing himself as he picked up a the two bags of feed he had been filling, hissing silently as it pulled at the welt, slightly amazed that he had any strength at all. He usually would have taken much more than what was in the bags but he couldn't handle that much yet and he knew it. He walked past Luke, smiling affectionatly at the little piglet as he passed, crossing over to Maudine and rubbing her nose gently as she nuzzled his arm. He tipped some of the feed into the small holder and gently scratched behind her ears before moving on.
  21. Bo just laughed and looked over at him with raised eyebrows. "Me? Little? C'mon Luke you know them two words dont go in the same sentence....anybody can see that...all I have to do is stand next to you to prove it." He looked up from the bags of feed and grinned.
  22. Bo jerked as he the yell caught him by surprise, snapping round to see Luke standing there grinning and laughing, knowing that Luke was getting his payback for earlier in the day. He laughs along slightly, still acting mock angry though. "Gees Luke what ya tryin' ta do put me back in the hospital with heart faliure?" He scoops some more feed out the bags, putting them in the different appropriate bags that they carried around as they made their evening rounds.
  23. Bo's grin faltered a little as everyone walked away to get working on their usual routine. He couldn't help but feel a little left out, knowing the minute he tried to help he would probably be told to sit down and rest as per usual nowadays. But as quickly as it faded it snapped back on and he turned to B.L. "Yeah you really should.....we ain't lettin' you stay here free ya know." He grinned and moved to standing before B.L could have the chance to slap the back of his head that she was so fond of doing. He headed carefully over to the barn, watching as B.L laughed and wearily pulled herself to her feet, walking inside the farm house. He quickly ducked behind the barn and checked around for Luke before heading in and over to the bags of feed for the animals.
  24. Daisy nodded laughing. "Yeah....but I can imagine it. I better go help Uncle Jesse with the dinner." With that shr gave Bo another kiss on the cheek before removing her arms and running into the house.
  25. Bo grinned back at Luke, yawning slightly. Daisy grinned and took the $5 from B.L, hugging Bo again. "Thanks for that Bo, that was the easiest $5 I ever made!" Bo laughed and shook his head. "No thanks needed, seeing that look on Rosco's face was thanks enough."
