His Prison, Her Prison pt. 2
BoJamesDuke replied to Qualapec the She-Wolf's topic in Round Robin Stories
Luke shook his head. He didn't trust her, not while she was in this state and there was nothing he could do about it. She couldn't do this...she couldn't do this to Bo and she couldn't do this to Jesse...but most of all she couldn't do this to Luke....quickly he scribbled down another note before she could walk away. "Daisy, the docs said no more stress on me right...if you walk out that door your gonna be adding to it....I won't be able to just sit here and do nothing....Daisy you can't do this to me...you know I can't follow you if you go out the door....please don't do this to me..." -

As Luke listened to Daisy account of what had happened to Bo, his heart thumped in pain for the lonlieness and depression Bo had to have gone through in the 4 years he had been completly alone...isolated from the people he loved the most without a hope in the world...with no one to tell him that everything was going to be okay again. Suddenly, he looked up when Daisy went really quiet in response to his next question and saw with a slight amount of shock the anger that was suddenly burning in her eyes. Who she was angry at he didn't know....but he could take a pretty good guess as he too started to piece things together. Luke had never been slow off the mark and now he had time to think about what had happened, this time wasn't any different. His ability to speak and walk may have been impaired but his sharp mind wasn't. Quickly he scribbled down on the pad. "Daisy....don't you go doing anything right now okay....Bo needs us to be here for him...he's been left alone by his family for too long already...if Boss decides he wants to get you too, which he can do....Daisy just think about this properly...please..." -
Daisy swallowed gently and nodded. "I know...you and I and Uncle Jesse and B.L...everyone knows Bo aint like that except them guys....they have to take precautions Luke its their job....and I aint sayin' I agree with what they did to him or nothing either before ya say so! Its just...I can understand why they did it...."
-
Daisy heard the steel arise in his voice and quickly sat up, shaking her head. "No! No Luke you can't be mad at Uncle Jesse...Luke he's so confused and upset....he wanted to help Bo even more than you did but he just doesn't know how to anymore...he's.....Luke we're all getting older now and problems are arising that can't just be healed with love and kisses anymore...he doesn't know how to handle that....god Luke please....you should have seen him the other night...."

Daisy looked up as Luke wheeled himself out of Bo's room and came out to her. She wanted nothing more than to run away from him at that moment, to run away from everybody and be left in solitude where she belonged, to be left to think about what she'd done to her little brother and pay for the crimes she not only committed against him but also against her who family. She didn't run though, Luke was still her older brother and she couldn't bare to cause any of them anymore pain. If she ran Luke couldn't follow but he would sure as hell try and she didn't think she could handle punishing herself for that crime too. She reached out a shaky hand as Luke showed her the pad of paper with the written question on it, not knowing how to respond to the very simple question he wanted the answer to. -
Bo watched from the small window as he was driven away from the farm, seeing something move at the farmhouse door and realising Luke had seen him being carted away....but hadn't come to say goodbye to him....that stung quite a bit to the young Duke, who probably would have been able to cope if he had had Luke's promisesa that he would come visit...that Bo would be alright and that he wouldn't be there for long. If Luke had stayed away that had to mean that he probably wouldn't be coming back again at all...or that Luke thought it wasn't worth having a cousin that was so weak anymore... Swallowing he turned and rested back against the wall to which he was chained to...just precaution of course..they didn't know what kind of maniac they were dealing with...the men never said the second part of course but he knew they were thinking it from the wary glance his escort kept giving him, expecting him to explode and make a fuss at any minute. But for the first time in months, Bo was more subdued than that, more focused on the fact that Luke had left him to be driven away without so much as a muttered goodbye or a supportive hug than on the small space in which he was confined.

Luke tapped his fingers nervously on the arms of the wheelchair he was confined to, not about to be taken back to his room by any means. He was going to be here when the brought Bo back and he was going to find out what was happening with his little cousin come hell of high water. This wasn't a game anymore, this was his baby brother fighting between life and death and there wasn't a soul of physical imparement that was going to stop him supporting Bo as he always had done. -
Bo hugged his Uncle tightly, never wanting to let go but not wanting to put his uncle through the pain of having him torn out of his arms. Slowly he pulled away and turned to face the two men, holding out his arms when he was told and letting them put him in the jacket and restrain him in it, eyes closed and looking to the floor as they led him to the van, not knowing Luke was watching from the doorway.
-
Bo carefully put his hand on B.L's arm and shook his head, getting up and standing slightly behind her and turning her round but not saying anything, watery eyes just begging her not to make this any harder than it already was. In reality, he was more cowering behind B.L, buying more time in order to stall leaving the farm.

For a long while there was nothing but the sound of gentle crying on the Duke Farm until a half hour later on the dot, Daisy looked up as she heard wheels and saw the van that had come to take Bo away from them. She noticed to her horror how much it looked like a prison van and saw when they opened up the back that while they had tried to make it look friendly and comfortable, there were straight jackets hung on one of the walls and chains hanging along the other above a padded bench. Shaking her head, she got to her feet and ran inside, not being able to watch this happen to her baby cousin, running straight past Luke and accidentally elbowing him a little as she passed and slammed the door.
-
Daisy watched him go as well, shaking her head as she sat down right on the middle of the ground and wrapped her arms around her knees, lowering her head as she cried softly. Bo nodded a little, tears slipping down his cheeks. He knew his family loved him and weren't sending him away because they didn't love him....truth was though, as much as he wanted to stop being a burden and get the help he needed at the same time, he was plumb terrified....
-
Daisy shook her head, sniffing as she tried to hold her tears in. "Me and Jesse talked about every possible way...its just with Boss breathing down out necks for the farm more than usual recently...I even took on extra hours at the Boar's Nest but Uncle Jesse says that I can't do that no more...that I cant keep doing that for a month and run the house....god B...Bo's so bad...he just...every little noise...just sets him off...." Jesse sighed and shook his head. "Luke I ain't standing here and arguin' my case ta ya when yer too stubborn to see that what we're doing to Bo is killing him...if something happens with his breathing or his heart there is nothing we can do about it but in a safe environment they can. They're coming to pick him up in half an hour."
-
Daisy looked up, tears in her eyes as B.L. caught her, shaking her head as she ran her hands down her face. "Bo's not getting any better...he just had an argument with Jesse about a condition he's got that he ain't tellin' us about....and...Luke and Jesse are arguin' now because we need to send Bo to a professional...we just can't handle him like this...he's riskin' his life B...." Jesse shook his head "Luke we don't have time to give him months! J.D is breathing down our necks for the mortgage payment as it as and trying to help Bo and run the farm is too much for this family to do! Daisy's already worn down as it is with working extra shifts to cover the losses we're making where we cant concentrate on the farm! I can't let her keep doing that and so we have to admit defeat and let these doctor's help Bo."
-
*One Week Later* Daisy winced as she kept her back to the argument going on behind her, hearing the door slam as Bo ran out of it and her older cousin yelling angrily back at Jesse, all thoughts of respect and obeying orders gone as the two faced off in the biggest battle of determination she had ever seen the two have. Luke was practically the co-patriarch of the Duke Family, the cousins went to him for advice as much as they did Jesse, and sometimes Jesse even went to Luke if there was something he needed to figure out with some help. But now the two heads of the family were dead set against each other. Swiftly she ran after Bo, not liking to leave him alone in his condition. --- Jesse shook his head as Luke yelled back at him, saying just as angrily back. "Now you listen to me Lukas Kevin Duke...I don't like the idea of sending Bo to those people anymore than you do but we just ain't makin' any progress with him, in fact he seems to be gettin' worse if anything! You heard the doctors, he nearly had a heart attack the last time we did this and there's some other complication that they are not eligible to say to us as per Bo's request that they don't! We need to get him professional help Luke...."
