  1. Well I spoke to the nurse from the company and she will be out on Saturday to show me how to use the medication for when I get it. She is driving up from Alexandria, Virginia. It is a 2-3+ hour drive. I am in northern Delaware. DC is a 2 1/2 hour drive from where I am. This just shows how rare this is.
  2. Thanks guys. I am currently suffering another attack (abdominal) and have been since Saturday. The benadryl is helping to take the edge off and they have me on something for the pain at the hospital. Unfortunately due to the pain meds, the antinausea meds, and the benadryl I have spent the last few days pretty much out cold. This is one of the reasons I hate taking pain pills (also can't stand the high feeling which comes with them), certain anti nausea meds, or benadryl. I did hear from the pharmaceutical company. They are going to come. Through with the meds. I have to call the nurse back in the morning because I missed her call which came after the company called. She has to shoe me how to give myself the injection. It'll be a 25 gauge needle (big needle, IV needles are usually only 20) with the injection going into my lower abdomen. There is also a high likelihood of an injection site reaction. On brigjter news, my therapist I see partly due to my aspergers syndrome (autism spectrum disorder) has been helping me deal with this but she is concerned because I have seemed to shut down emotionally about the attacks, that I am approaching it too logically. She is probably right but I think I am somewhat in shock from it all, kinda in denial. This is why I want to get back into writing. This would make an excellent house/dukes crossover... if I could work it right. Even a partnered fic revolving around it would be good as I don't like writing alone. It would help me deal with it.
  3. Title says it all! To be fair, if you choose to pray for someone on this thread, you may for it in your religion of preference, be it Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, etc. We all need a few prayers at least once in our lives. Prayers can be about anything and anyone, so long as it is appropriate. This is a good place to ask for prayers for natural disaster victims, payers for loved ones, or prayers for your health. I shall go first. I was diagnosed with an endocrine disorder back in May of 2011. This endocrine disorder if not treated can lead to infertility, cancer, and or diabetes. Not treating it is not an option. Unfortunately, ever since I was a child, I have had an issue with swelling and idiopathic stomach pain. In November of 2011 the swelling became critical. I have nearly died nine times due to it, just since the end of November. It turns out treating the endocrine disorder has made the swelling worse, which meant I finally seemed treatment for it (couldn't ignore it anymore with my throat swelling shut) . This month, January of 2012, I was diagnosed with hereditary angioedema type III. The idiopathic stomach pains were my internal organs swelling. It is a swelling disorder caused by not having enough of a chemical in the blood which causes the buildup of another. My doctor is getting me into a treatment program but the attacks have begun to number 1-2 a week, almost always resulting in an emergency room visit, sometimes with admittance go the hospital. These attacks are scary. I have almost been intubated and had that failed they would have performed a trachyitomy. I am lucky to have the rarity of benadryl easing the attacks. It doesn't for most people. It is a rare disease, affecting between 1:50,000 and 1:150,000. Of those sufferers, 85% have type 1, 15% have type II, and less than 1% have type III. Please keep me in your prayers... and please pray I get a computer up and running so I may write again, as writing will help me sort my thoughts and come to terms with the disease. Thank you.
  4. Hey girl give me a buzz. Yahoo fb or aim.

  5. Interested in role playing using a writing format in an IM window? Send me a line! I am interested in many genres and original characters are always welcome. My interests include: NCIS Dukes of Hazzard Bleach House (early seasons) Supernatural (I have only seen a few episodes due to lack of cable but love it) White collar Eureka Stargate Sg1 You may reach me at the provided contact information or at nafdcfifer986 on yahoo. I do not frequent the site often anymore because I have issues seeing orange/red on blue... and currently my computer is broke so I am using a cell phone (which causes the website to make me go cross eyed). Maryanne, Brian, if this is in the wrong spot please move it for me. I can't exactly see the site too well which is why I haven't been around.
  6. Brian, it could be worse, she coulda not been lazy and given the title to herself. That would really have given bad a uh bad name. She coulda given the title to any of us goody goodies, (like me) or it could have been given to someone who would never give it back. It could have even been given to the Alex, the official Hazzardnet toothfairy. How would that make hte name look?
  7. Feel free to message me. I tried getting your screen name off here but it wouldn't show it to me. My yahoo screen name is hileryanndavenport.

  8. Hmm, Chet Duke, Temporary Actin' Lord of the Outlaws... has a nice ring to it... *watches Alex and Maryanne from seat with feet still on booking table and leaning back in chair just like in last thread* Hey Alex, you look like a love sick pup! *Feels almost sorry for the hazzardnet toothfairy* Brian, look at it this way, at least things won't come to a grinding halt in teh world of the bad with you in the clink if chet takes over temporarally. ... although i don't know how perminantly it will stay temporary.
  9. I love NCIS. it's among my favorite shows. I write some fanfic for it. I even have my own NCIS character, named Arianna DiNozzo. Shes tony's little half sister. If anyone is interested in Rping NCIS, let me know!
  10. Brian, I almost feel sorry for you. Almost. Look at it this way, Three square meals a day, plenty of time on your hands. Maybe you can start a new hobby while you're in there. And sides, seeing how the jail has become popular place to see who gets locked up next, you'll never go lonely... although it looks like you'll have to cancel your plans on redoing Rosco's office for a while. Maybe you can remodel the jail cell instead? way to go MaryAnne. I bet revenge is so sweet.
  11. That collage came out purdy. I like it! The jail in the background was a nice touch.
  12. Rosco's fixin' to have a black design scheme in his office. I wonder what would happen if Brian decided to change the Hazzard County SHeriff's uniforms next.... Nothing good can come out of having Brian as actin' deputy. MaryAnne, I hope for all of our sakes you get that collage done, and please do us the favor of enjoying yourself as you do it, although I'm surprised Brian is lettign you use a computer to do it LOL. I thought he'd make you use pencil and paper while you're in the jail cell.
  13. My avatar is about the size that it was when I created it. It was a little larger, but, unfortunately, I don't have the original anymore! I have been pondering changing it.... but don't know if I will or not. Might make me another one.
  14. *Walks into the booking room and rallies for Maryanne* Brian, why don't you just do the cousinly thing and set bail for her before Alex bores her to death. Dealing with him should be punishment enough. Speaking of Maryanne, I got you a little present. *presents to Maryanne a little tin cup* Now you don't have to use those danged handcuffs to raise a racket Let your friends know if there's anything else you need. *Grins and takes a seat in a chair and putting feet on the desk.*
  15. I have to agree. I've always been into the speed thing with sledding, but i've never been pulled by anything. My mom always said it was too dangerous, and aside from that, it's illegal in most places. In addition to WD 40, rollar skate oil or grease or whatever it's called is even slicker than that.
  16. I usually get funny looks when I tell others about my sledding exploits. WD 40 sure does speed things up! Adds some thrill to the whole sledding experience.
  17. Plastic Trash bags do work well. Metal trash can lids with WD 40 on the bottom work well too. I've used the saucer sleds but it's not quite the same. I've also used snow shovels as sleds. I only had one real sled growing up, and we used to WD 40 that sucker alright! Oh we used to go sledding at this one church and my brother and I got cussed more than once. I was like five and there was a road a the bottom, my brother was like, three... we never stopped the 'sled' before we got to teh bottom, we bailed out!although i think we did use the saucer sleds some friends had that year. We also had a habit of sledding on hills with fences at hte bottom or a forest at the bottom.... There was the time two of my cousin's decided to go sledding on a hill with a creek at the bottom. That did not go well. THey grabbed old boat that wouldn't float, patchedt he holes with mud and snow, and went sledding down it... expecting to float on the creek... Needless to say as you guessed, it didn't work. They aren't very bright.
  18. Garrett, that story came out really good. It was nice the way you wrote it with who was in trouble and how they got that way. Thanks for the welcome back, Daney.
  19. Yeah Maryanne, I think, as far as I know, all of us are accounted for now. *looks at Garrett, smirking* So what did he do this time?
  20. Oh this is just typical. I'm gone for a year due to a stolen computer cord, and what do I find? A Duke in jail. Go figure. It's no doubt the Hazzard Law is up to no good! And Garrett, I hate to say this, but... I told you Bo drives better than you!
  21. Again... who is watching tv at that time in the morning? Most elementary school children (least when i was a tad) don't get up until 7:30, 8:00, to get ready for school, have about 10 minutes to watch TV, and then are out the door. Middle and High School students are up 5 or 6 am, get ready, and are out the door. Most parents use that time slot to watch the news. That is an awful time slot to put on hour long tv shows. Good for 15 minutes to a half hour, not hour. Not a good time slot at all for anything being tested for viewership numbers... especially if they don't advertise it... even if they did it's still a bad time slot.
  22. there is also an episode where you can tell the General Lee is going to land on it's side... which it did so they redid the landing. I believe it was the one with the boys jumping through the barn, and they used a clip of it in the first Reunion movie as well. I don't think they did ANY new jumps for that one. I think they were all clipped from the show. Speaking of the first reunion movie... you can really tell what stunt driving was done then and what was done during the show. The spot by the lights is black in the show, orange in the stuff filmed for the first Reunion. that drove me nuts!
  23. There for a while, ABC Family was airing the Dukes of Hazzard at midnight or 1 AM.. it was really late. It was shortly before the show was taken off by CMT. If they were doing it as a test run and are using that as a basis to say there was not enough viewership, I would tell them look at the danged time slot! Who the heck is up at 12 or 1 am lookin' to watch a family oriented show? And folks, I had found it on at that time by ACCIDENT!
