  1. Hey Garrett! Sorry it has taken me so long to reply to your messages. Time is flying and I just can't seem to catch up. Everything is fine, I just haven't taken the time to get on the internet at home. I've been busy trying to finish up my knitting. I'm knitting hats for my cousins for Christmas if I haven't told you yet. It's cheap and pretty easy, just time consuming. Plus I'm picky and everything has to be just right. lol Then my boss came up sick with the flu so it's been a little crazy here at work. I finally caught a breather so here I am at last. lol

  2. Okay, so here's my opinion about your dilemma... I think you should record Numbers and watch the awards show. Here's my reasoning behind it. If you recode Numbers, then when you watch it you might find out it is a really, really good one. Since it is recorded, you can watch it all over again as many times as you want too. lol Plus it won't take up as much room on your DVR or VCR tape or whatever you record with. lol Just my opinion. I hope you have a great weekend and I'll talk with you next week!

  3. I didn't even realize that the awards were on tonight. Of course, even though I have cable, I don't have the Speed channel. That makes my weekend plans that much sweeter though. I had planned to spend the night at my brothers house so we can go shopping again on Saturday. He gets the Speed channel. lol So hopefully I will remember to watch some of it. I have never seen the awards show, so this should be interesting. Didn't Gordon win the fastest pit crew award? Of course that is his pit crew, not him. hmmm, I really don't know. I don't even know what kind of awards they give out. lol

  4. Unfortunately, I think Jr will probably be the most popular driver for a while. He's got a lot of things going for him that add up to popularity, even though his driving has been in a slump. A lot of women like him because he's good looking, men like him because he seems like a regular guy and someone they would like to hang out with, and of course who his daddy was. I'm sure there is more, but those are the main three I can think of. The thing with Gordon, and please don't take this the wrong way because I like Gordon, is that even though he has a huge fan base (he has to be right behind Jr) a lot of people just love to hate him. Although not as many people hate him now that Kyle Busch is on the scene. I think some people have transferred their obession with hating to Busch. Does that make any sense? lol

  5. If you find a place like that, no snow or ice and Nascar year around, let know. I want to live there too. Then I could vacation here for Christmas to get my snow for the year. lol

Like I said about Patrick, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Montoya is doing well, but look how long it took him to get up to this level. And it seems like I remember him whining a little at first about all the rubbing and bumping. Hornish Jr is okay, if he can keep from spinning out. I think he will eventually get there with time.

  6. I just scanned a few articles on Nascar.com myself. I thought it might be safe to go on and see if anything new is happening. lol Did you read the article about Carl Edwards? About how he thought someone was stealing his four wheeler? lol That is pretty funny, but I can't believe they were just going to borrow it without asking or saying anything to someone on Carl's team. How crazy. It turned out good in the end, but still...

And what do you think about all of these Danica Patrick rumors flying around? I'm not sure what I think about it. I think it could be good for the sport, but I'm not sure how she would do. Did you see the article with the picture of her in a jumpsuit that had a Nascar logo, Chevy logo, and what could possibly be a JR Motorsports logo. Not sure what's happening, but I'm sure we will find out by February. lol

  7. Well it snowed here yesterday for about 5 or 10 minutes. Then it turned to rain. We didn't get much of that either though. Thank goodness. I like snow, but I don't want it yet. And we haven't really gotten a whole lot of snow here the last few years. Mostly ice, I hate ice. Scary stuff, especially when you are trying to drive home from work. Yuck. lol

  11. Well, I've got to go. I've got to get some stuff done before bedtime. And that's coming fast. Yuck! I was I could just sleep in tomorrow. They are forecasting snow here tomorrow. I am NOT ready for snow. It can snow on Christmas day, but not before. I don't think the weather will listen to me though, anymore than Nascar does. lol Have a great night!

  12. I so agree about going back to work. Leaving my family to come back to my apartment was soooo hard! I wanted to have a temper tantrum. lol And I wish that one of those tv's was for me. That would be so nice. I have nowhere to put it. lol

I'm glad you had a great Thanksgiving. I love this time of year.

  13. My nephew is 2 and about two weeks now. He is just now getting it about presents and everything. It's going to be so much fun this year to see things click in his head.

  14. Yep, I'm here. I haven't been getting on as much at night because after staring at a computer all day at work, my eyes hurt like the dickens most days. So I've been giving the computer a little rest at home the last few weeks. lol You just can't keep me away from Hazzardnet and my race buddies though.

  15. It was so weird on Sunday, not having a race to watch. I didn't know what to do with myself. I haven't even gone on to Nascar.com. I was so disappointed that Mark didn't win, that I didn't want to see all of the Jimmie hype. I know you like Jimmie and I have nothing against him. I hope that doesn't offend you. I am just ready for someone else to win the Championship.

I'm not sure what to think about all this revenge stuff. I'm wondering if now that the season is over if more rules about this stuff will be forth coming. France is probably encouraging it because it causes more drama and increases interest. With more interest, he makes more money because more people will want to go to the races to see if out comes out on the track. That's one theory anyway. lol

  16. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. We did although it was crazy busy the whole weekend. We did the whole shopping thing on friday like everyone else. Luckily I got almost everything I was going for. My jaw dropped though when I saw one guy go out with three 50 inch flat screen tv's. I couldn't believe it. I wish I had that much money. All in all it was a good day though. I got a few Christmas ideas and put a couple of plans into action for Christmas presents. I've also started knitting hats for my little cousins. It's a cheap and pretty easy present and actually is pretty relaxing. Hopefully they will like them. I think they will. I guess I will see when they get them.

  17. That's awesome that your niece said that! How cute! We've got my nephew saying go Carl, if we can keep him still enough. lol And Sunday I got him to say Ho, Ho, Ho. He hasn't gotten the Merry Christmas part yet. We're working on it though. They are so cute at this age aren't they? I just love spending time with him. I was his buddy on Sunday, he just wanted me so that made me feel really good.

  18. Okay, I am going to stop for now so you don't have to read an entire book when you log on next. I hope you enjoyed the race and I can't wait to hear what you think.

  19. I'm not sure what to make out of Montoya. I can't decide if I like him or not. At one point I will start to like him, and then he cry's foul over piddly stuff or he gets really aggressive. He sometimes reminds me of another driver that I don't care for. This worries me for one reason though. Next year Jamie MacMurray is going to be driving on the same team. I like Jamie Mac. He's another Missouri boy to cheer for. And I'm happy he found another ride after having to leave Roush. But now his teammate is Montoya. I hope Montoya knows how to be a teammate, and they can work together. I guess I will just have to wait and see. It's going to be a long winter...

  20. And then there was Stewart and Montoya. Wow, they really let each other have it. I guess Montoya started it by shoving at Tony. Then Tony shoved back and cut Montoya's tire down with his splitter. I'm not sure if that was done on purpose or not. I hope not, but I really don't know. So Montoya goes to the garage to fix the damage and when he comes out he intentionally rams Stewart from behind. Screwed up both of their cars. Nascar finally made a call and black flagged Montoya for two laps. Montoya is really aggressive still. Do you think he is used to getting his way in everything he does or what? I either heard or read a comment that Montoya finally shoved up against somebody that will not take that kind of stuff and will shove back, likely harder. I think that's true with Tony. He can be pretty aggressive too, he's just cooled it in recent years, especially this year. Maybe ownership has leveled his head a bit.

  21. Okay, so the last race of the year. It was pretty good actually, could have been more exciting if Johnson was closer to the back. But all in all it was good. There were a few slow parts, but with all the people and kids around we all managed to stay entertained. lol As soon as I saw Johnson starting on the front row, I knew that it was pretty much a done deal. You could tell he was there to race. Mark Martin started off good too, but just couldn't hold the very top spots. I think fourth was the best he could do. Is that right? I was cheering for Ambrose. It looked like he was going to have a good day, but then disaster in the form of a flat. Aw man! I was even rooting for Kurt. Did you hear his comment in the post race interviews? I missed it, but I read about it. I sure hope he was joking, because otherwise he has been hanging out with his brother too much and I lose a lot of respect for him. I hope he was joking, but even joking it wasn't that funny.

  22. The party was good. I love watching the race with a bunch of people and hearing what everyone has to say about the racing and the calls, etc. I raised my glass of Pepsi to you before the race started and sent good thoughts your way. lol

  23. maybe he is thinking about striking out on his own and creating his own team sometime in the future? I wonder if he would take Knaus, or if Knaus would stay loyal? A very interesting thought.

  24. Wow, that is great about Gordon. I'm glad for you that he signed a new contract. And at this point I'm beginning to think it is going to take someone like him to beat Jimmie Johnson next year. I'm not sure what the deal with Johnson is. Yes, he is the man of the hour and I guess of the last four years, but why not show a little loyalty. You would think he would appreciate that Gordon discovered him and both he and Hendrick backed Johnson. I guess he just wants to keep his options open for down the road, but really... Hendrick has always been a force to reckon with in the racing world. The whole money thing confuses me though. Like I said, Jimmie is the hot ticket right now, but he won't always be. Someone will come along and take away the Championship at some point. I wish that statement was explained a little better by Hendrick. Unless...

  25. I hope you have a good weekend and enjoy the race on Sunday. I've got my fingers crossed for our drivers to have a good day!
