I am Robert John Broadhurst II. Dukes fan since TNN 1996. I was 9 years old. Now I am 33. I will be a fan forever. One can not ever get bored with The Dukes of Hazzard. My other shows are Gilligan's Island and The Andy Griffith Show. Fan of those since age 3 1990. One can not ever get bored of the island or Mayberry either. Looking forward to chatting with y'all. Have been trying to join since 2012 to no avail. I have finally been successful. Have a good evening/morning wherever y'all may be in the world. Catch y'all on the flip side.

Good idea! I actually just finished Season 2 last night! I watched 2 seasons in one week. This is the fastest I've ever watched any show, and I have no regrets! I've loved every episode! Well, except the ones where Rosco was absent...but I did still LIKE those episodes!

Hi yall! Thank yall in advance for welcomin' to me yer community! I started watching the show 6 nights ago after reading about it online. Ever since then, I have been watching as many episodes as I can squeeze in every night before bed. In just 6 days, I have watched all of season one, and over half of season 2! Because I instantly loved it that much! My favorite character is definitely Rosco. I love him so much! My mom told me that she knew he would be my favorite because he reminds her of me. And I agree! His personality is very similar to mine. I'm very childish, I laugh and giggle a lot, I love rules and laws, I get excited easily, I tend to have larger than life reactions to things, I can be a bit pragmatic, and sometimes chaotic in the way that I carry out rules and laws, and I even also have a doggy that I talk sugary sweet to! I look forward to making friends with y'all! And I'm glad to have seen some fellow Rosco fans on here when I was browsing earlier!

Howdy everybuddy I made this quiz for y'all tonight, hope you enjoy! Be sure to post your results for me!

Which Dukes of Hazzard Character are you?

Under each character’s section, you will see a list of statements describing that character. If any of them also describe you, put an x in the box next to it. If they are only somewhat true, or partially true, for you, put a / in the box next to it. If they are not true for you at all, leave the box blank. When you are finished with each section, tally up your points by adding one point for each x, half a point for each /, and no points for each blank. At the end of the quiz, when you have filled out each character’s section, check to see which character you scored the most points for. That is who you are most like! Enjoy!

MrsRosco1996 reacted to MaryAnne in HNET RULES AND POLICY FOR ROUND ROBINS - READ FIRST!
    UPDATED: March 2006
**Please note the updates for rule 1, 3, 5 and new addition of #7.**
    1. ANYONE may participate. (If you're lookin' to restrict a Round Robin, yer in the wrong section of town. LOL). However, there are times in a story when dialoge or action will go back and forth between two or more characters/authors for a scene. Please adhere to rules of the cue. If you weren't cued, don't post until such time as the cue is opened to anyone. Authors need to remember tho', do not abuse the rule of the cue by trying to monopolize the story this way.
    2. Posts to the story are strongly encouraged follow that which has been previously written, in order to maintain continiuity. However, no one person may dominate the story by telling everyone else what to post. The whole point of a Round Robin is to come up with something in which the other participants must react to, and so on. Don't be predictable...but don't write something so far off that it's unrecognizable as to how it fits in with the rest of the story.
    3. Please don't post your greivances about a particular RR (whatever the grievence may be) within the story thread of that particular RR. It's really distractin' to the story. Disputes over posts should be resolved with the participants if possible and should be done off the boards and NOT within the story thread. If agreement can not be reached, then the dispute will be brought before an administrator (myself, for example). If there is a request to delete a particular post it will be put to a vote by all those who have participated in the RR, providing all members have included an authentic email address at which they can be contacted at in their profile (the email does not have to be "public." As administrator, I can see everyone's emails.) No real email, no vote. All voting is done off the boards with each participant emailing their vote to the administrator. The administrator will then tally the votes and make the decision on a majority rules basis.
    4. It is up the participants of the RR's (particularly the individual who started the RR) to archive their fics to be placed in the Round Robin section of the Fanfic section of Hazzardnet.com (if they wish to do this). This includes compling all posts into a single file, editing the posts together to make the story flow and crediting all participants of the RR.
    5. Original characters from the show are "open" for anyone to use in their posts. For example, say I (MaryAnne) write a post with Rosco (duh. LOL). Anybody else can post a few lines from Rosco as well. HOWEVER...if, say, Bo and Luke are currently involved in a scene at the courthouse, or they're in jail, don't go posting in your post that they're suddenly back at the farm or at the Boar's Nest. Remember, folks, continuity!!
    6. Fanfiction characters are exclusive to their authors only. Don't post anything with another person's character without asking permission first. Co-authored posts are allowed.
    7. Please try to keep the language to a minimum (the popular Coltranese of *$(%!*% always works nice. LOL). Also, please be aware that we have a wide range of age groups that visit this site. Please keep your stories within the G to PG13 range. Slash fiction is not allowed here at HNet.
    8. Rules are subject to revisions and changes as needed.

I love Rosco. Beneath his seemingly gruff exterior, he cares so much for the citizens of Hazzard, especially the Dukes. No matter what, Rosco is a good person, even when he conspires with Boss!

It's hard for me to say exactly why he is so funny. Maybe it's in the way he tried to "be bad" but, deep down, he was a good hearted person and it showed through in the end. His schemes were just plain goofy and he got his own way most of the time. Rosco is one of a kind for sure. In my opinion, Rosco was critical to making that show work. The way he and boss Hogg played off one another was priceless and probably couldn't be duplicated by anyone but Rosco P. Coltrane.

I caught another great Rosco moment today while watching 'Vance's Girl'. He's sitting on the car hood about to eat a hot dog.
*There's no dog in a hot dog, that's just what they're called.* He says this just after Flash 'woofs' at him and he is about to take a bite. I almost fell off my chair with laughter. Poor Rosco, never got to eat his hot dog either. But, that was a really cute moment. IMO. No wonder Rosco's so thin, between Boss Hogg and Flash, the poor guy never gets to eat anything.

I've named every 4-H steer I've ever had after a DOH character (Luke, Cletus, Bo, Cooter, Boss Hogg, Rosco, General & Duke!) . And my two 4-H heifers Daisy & Lulu respectively! I got a few comments from judges about how awesome DOH was too in the show ring!
