Skipper Duke Posted March 27 Author Posted March 27 Trivia: Christine (1983) has a connection to Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, & J. P. The Big Bopper Richardson. Dion & The Belmonts song "I Wonder Why" is in Christine. The scene when Arnie gets back inside the car to go home from Leigh Cabot's house after taking her home after their Rock Bridge Highschool football game date. Christine is jealous because him and Leigh was kissing. When he tries to start it up. It won't start for him. When he tells it "Come on. Come on Christine. Come on baby, please. It's ok. Everything is the same." When it decides to start up for him to drive it to Darnell's Garage to put it away and walk home from there, Dion & The Belmonts "I Wonder Why" is on the Plymouth's radio. Skipper Duke Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago Part of Stephen King's Christine Chapter 30 Moochie Welch "He saw the car sitting idling at the curb. It seemed to brood. White exhaust curled from it's twin pipes. Moochie licked his lips. His mouth became dry. Moochie began to be afraid. He opened his mouth to speak and produced no sound. He tried again. This time he produced a small croak." "Hey Cunningham. Is that you Cunningham? Hey, you ain't mad are ya?" "Christine's duals suddenly came on, pinning him in harsh white light." In this part of the book when the lights suddenly come on, I hear John Carpenter's movie music beat when the lights turn on. I also hear Malcolm Danare when Moochie speaks. I hear and see every Christine movie actor in this book, and I hear every movie song in it. Songs are different in the book, but example, I hear Little Bitty Pretty One when Moochie gets killed just like in the movie. Even though that's not the song the book version of the scene was playing. I do this with James McLendon's Eddie Macon's Run too. I see and hear John Schneider, Kirk Douglas etc and I hear the movie songs like John Schneider's Forevermore and the other ones he sings in the movie. Quote
