March 27, 20251 yr Author Christine (1983) connection to Buddy Holly. Keith Gordon (Arnie Cunningham) wears Buddy Holly type glasses in the Stephen King's novel and the John Carpenter's movie.
March 27, 20251 yr Author Trivia: Christine (1983) has a connection to Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, & J. P. The Big Bopper Richardson. Dion & The Belmonts song "I Wonder Why" is in Christine. The scene when Arnie gets back inside the car to go home from Leigh Cabot's house after taking her home after their Rock Bridge Highschool football game date. Christine is jealous because him and Leigh was kissing. When he tries to start it up. It won't start for him. When he tells it "Come on. Come on Christine. Come on baby, please. It's ok. Everything is the same." When it decides to start up for him to drive it to Darnell's Garage to put it away and walk home from there, Dion & The Belmonts "I Wonder Why" is on the Plymouth's radio.
April 5, 20251 yr Author Part of Stephen King's Christine Chapter 30 Moochie Welch "He saw the car sitting idling at the curb. It seemed to brood. White exhaust curled from it's twin pipes. Moochie licked his lips. His mouth became dry. Moochie began to be afraid. He opened his mouth to speak and produced no sound. He tried again. This time he produced a small croak." "Hey Cunningham. Is that you Cunningham? Hey, you ain't mad are ya?" "Christine's duals suddenly came on, pinning him in harsh white light." In this part of the book when the lights suddenly come on, I hear John Carpenter's movie music beat when the lights turn on. I also hear Malcolm Danare when Moochie speaks. I hear and see every Christine movie actor in this book, and I hear every movie song in it. Songs are different in the book, but example, I hear Little Bitty Pretty One when Moochie gets killed just like in the movie. Even though that's not the song the book version of the scene was playing. I do this with James McLendon's Eddie Macon's Run too. I see and hear John Schneider, Kirk Douglas etc and I hear the movie songs like John Schneider's Forevermore and the other ones he sings in the movie.
May 21, 20251 yr Author Look carefully and listen closely in the scene when Christine returns to Stall 20 of Darnell's Garage all burned up after the Mobico Gas Station explosion where it killed Richard Trelawny and Don Vandenberg in the gas station garage bay, and Buddy Repperton was ran over and set on fire. You can see and hear the stunt driver Terry Leonard's feet as he quickly runs away after parking it, shutting it off, and getting out. Right before Darnell speaks the line "Ok Jack! Come on out! The ride is over!" That's when you can spot and hear Leonard running away.
May 24, 20251 yr Author "Hey fellow Christine fans! I saw an awesome post in one of the groups (can't remember which one) where someone did a side-by-side comparison of the book and movie scenes. They matched the exact words from the book with screenshots from the movie, and it was set up perfectly! Has anyone else seen this or know which group it was in? Would love to check it out again! #Christine #StephenKing"
June 5, 20251 yr Author Christine Trivia: Alexandra Elizabeth Paul read Stephen King's novel to prepare her for her role as Leigh Cabot in the John Carpenter's movie adaptation. But since the movie is different and doesn't really follow the book, and has only 8 pages of scenes that made it onto the screen, reading probably didn't help Alexandra much.
June 7, 20251 yr Author I wanna meet Christine and get pictures and autograph. But I'm scared of her. What if she's really alive and tries to hurt me? 😂 I've been told by others "Dude, it's just a book and movie. You take it way too seriously." 😂 She could give me her autograph by running over a photo of her to leave a tire tread autograph. This is how The Dukes of Hazzard The original 7 seasons 147 episodes series '79-'85 did it. not '05 or '07 movie. The original Hazzard production studio complied by running over 8 x 10 photos of the General Lee with the real Generals leaving a tire tread autograph.
September 20, 2025Sep 20 Author Today is Christine (1983) cast member William Ostrander (Clarence Buddy Repperton's) birthday.
October 19, 2025Oct 19 Author Hey Christine fans! 😊 Diving into the creepy world of Christine, what's your take? Is it more chilling when the car's fused with Roland D. LeBay's twisted spirit (book version), or when it's just plain evil from the get-go (movie version)? Share your thoughts! #Christine #StephenKing #JohnCarpenter
October 27, 2025Oct 27 Author I wish we get a Christine movie. Christine: The Roland D. LeBay Years, or Christine: The Beginning Put everything in it that happens before Arnie Cunningham owned the car. From the time it was built in Detroit up to Roland D. LeBay's death. Everything Roland and his family went thru with that car. Since I know the most about the subject, it would need me as the script writer.
October 31, 2025Oct 31 Author Christine Trivia: The book John Stockwell (Dennis Guilder) grabs off the library shelf during study hall is actually a hardback copy of the film's source material Stephen King's Christine.
October 31, 2025Oct 31 Author I'm sad that some Christine (1983) locations have changed over the years. 😢😭💔 The house played Roland D. LeBay's old tract house where his brother George LeBay sells the late Roland's car Christine to Arnie Cunningham, the house is gone now. The overpass where Christine chases Malcolm Danare (Peter Moochie Welch) to kill him, the area has changed also. The bridge Christine hid under waiting for him is gone now. Some are still standing. Like the school used as Rock Bridge High School. I heard that was a real school. I'm not sure of its real name. Changed to Rock Bridge High School for the movie high school scenes.
October 31, 2025Oct 31 Four different schools were used to portray Rockbridge High School: Van Nuys High School was used for the locker scene and the parking lot scene. Canoga Park High School was used for the shop class where Buddy bullies Arnie. Verdugo Hills High School was used for the library scene. Calabasas High School was used for the football game.

November 7, 2025Nov 7 Author Frightening Lightnings Christine mystery alert! 🤔 Why did Johnny Lightning release Christine without the iconic white stripe on the sides? 🙅♂️ The 1:64 scale model is a great representation, but it's missing that crucial detail. I know Ertl and Matchbox didn't shy away from adding details to their General Lee cars, so why not Christine? 🤷♂️ Did they have a reason for omitting the white trim, or was it an oversight? Share your thoughts, fellow die-cast enthusiasts! #FrighteningLightnings #Christine #JohnnyLightning #DieCast #CarModel #StephenKing #JohnCarpenter

January 25Jan 25 Author Christine(1983)Book/Movie fans... What Arnie Cunningham knew that nobody else knew was the car was haphazardly restoring itself. That explains the hopscotch of old and new parts. The half grille etc.
February 4Feb 4 Author Clarence Buddy Repperton:"Come on. You wanna go for it?" Arnie Cunningham:"Put the knife down, an' I will."
February 8Feb 8 Author I made a witty one. A Christine group member's Facebook post in Christine group. Christine turned on the all dark windows so that Moochie Welch can’t see. (Picture of the Christine car) Me in the comments section:"Technically it's to hide the stunt driver when it drives by itself. 😂 There's just a tiny uncovered hole for him to see out of to see where he's going. That's why the '58 has what is called "Evil Mode" the tint is so us viewers cannot see there is actually a driver in there. Plus adding to the mystery of is it Arnie Cunningham using his car to kill or the car itself doing it without a driver."
February 12Feb 12 Author Christine Fun Fact: In the book, Leigh Cabot's mom Natalie gave her the nickname Lee-Lee.
