I think it didn't even reach the island, unlike the original Minnow which got beached. The castaways had to swim to shore and collapsed on Lagoon Beach, exhausted and soaking wet. In the Rescue From Gilligan's Island, Skipper has to have them all sign that paper for the insurance company swearing the accident wasn't his fault. That was already proven way back in Season 3 episode Court Martial with a Minnow re-enactment. Quote
