I think it didn't even reach the island, unlike the original Minnow which got beached. The castaways had to swim to shore and collapsed on Lagoon Beach, exhausted and soaking wet. Here's a continuity error though. In the Rescue From Gilligan's Island, Skipper has to have them all sign that paper for the insurance company swearing the accident wasn't his fault. That was already proven way back in Season 3 episode Court Martial with a Minnow re-enactment.

I wish I could have one of the Skipper hats that Alan Hale (Skipper) signed when he autographed them and sold or gave them away at his Alan Hale's Lobster Barrel restaurant. He autographed the brims with "Alan Hale Skipper."

Fun Fact: Did you know that scenes of the movie The Creature from the Black Lagoon were filmed on what would later become the Gilligan's Island set? 😀

Fun fact: Robinson Crusoe was an inspiration for the original series 😲! In the '63 Pilot Episode "Marooned", Ginger (Kitt Smythe) and Bunny (Nancy McCarthy) have a hilarious exchange: Bunny: "Gee, isn't it fun being castaway on a desert island?" Ginger: "Loads of laughs! Robinson Crusoe enjoyed it for 9 years." 😂

 

And Tom Hanks references the cissy classic in Cast Away: "This stuff works as a laxative. That's somethin' Gilligan never told us." 😂

Gilligan is not always inept. Quite a few times, he had good ideas. Season 3 Topsy Turvy, tricking the native headhunters into drinking that Captibora Extract to think they were outnumbered and he could free the Castaways from their cage prison. Rescue From Gilligan's Island, lighting the fire on the hut raft to cook the fish, drew attention of the United States Coast Guard. See? He's not always inept. Sometimes he's actually extremely ept.

Did you know a real island in Puerto Rico is nicknamed Gilligan's Island? The island of Cayo Aurora. 😲

Everyone in my childhood lied to me. I'm 39 with a full head of hair. 😂 Here's why they lied. They always said "If you wear those Gilligan's Island Skipper's hats all the time, you'll grow up to be bald boy!" 😂

I used to talk to Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) on Facebook while she was on there before she caught COVID-19 and it killed her.

I'm very surprised at how screen accurately detailed The Alan Hale Gilligan's Island Captain Skipper Jonas Grumby vinyl Funko Pop figure is. They even put his Captain Skipper Hat crooked titled on his head. 😲The only inaccurate thing though is the Navy Blue hat that like other merchandise like this uses. Should be Black. Otherwise perfect to a T with dotted I.

I have heard many interesting fun fan conspiracy theories about Gilligan's Island such as the shipwreck not being an accident Skipper lied and the Howells were hiding to evade income tax etc. 😂
