October 9, 20178 yr Hazard made the national news today because the Energy Secretary was there to announce easing of rules that restricted the use of coal in making electricity. Hazard is a coal town and will benefit from the new rules so that's why it was announced there. I remember when the cast of Dukes went there to help with a fundraiser when miners were trapped. At the time the show was in its heyday so it was a pretty big national story.
October 11, 20178 yr Isn't going to do much to help the Coal industry though with Natural Gas so cheap.
