DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 "I don't hafta give ya an instance, just do it wouldja?!" exclaimed Luke, his dander having been ruffled as Bo kept challenging him. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Bo grinned, seeing he was eaisly winning."You can't think of one can ya....you can't think of one instance where this is useful...." Quote
DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 "I know of one time when you'll definately have to know it...and be up a creek without a paddle if ya don't," countered the dark haired Duke. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 "Oh yeah, when?"Bo said with a smirk. Quote
DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 "When you take your test on Friday," retorted Luke. "Now do it or I'm gonna tell Uncle Jesse..." Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 "Nu uh, now that don't count cause that ain't outside of school!"Bo replied back, his sing song voice back as he shook his finger at Luke with a grin. Quote
DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Now some might say that Bo had the temper in the family. And this was true- to a certain extent. He certainly lost control of it the most. The truth though was that Luke's temper was just as bad, especially when he was younger... when the loss of his parents still weighed heavily on his mind...before the Marine's had taught him how to forget feelings in order to act.Of course at this time, Luke was a teenager...before the Marines...before he learned self control. Angrily he threw the book across the room. "Fine! Be that way!" With that he stormed out of the room slamming the door behind him. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Bo ducked as the book was thrown across the room, watching as Luke stormed out the room very soon after before laying back on his bed and stretching out with a grin. "No point at all." Quote
DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 ***END FLASHBACK***"I shoulda aimed higher...maybe I coulda knocked some sense int' ya," said Luke with a smirk. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Bo chuckled, finishing his sandwich with a shake of his head."I was right though, you couldn't think of an example could ya?" Quote
DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 "I could if I had wanted to...I just didn't wanna...." countered Luke. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Bo snorted, taking the milk Daisy handed to him with a thankful smile before looking back to Luke."You liar, you just couldn't think of anythin. Admit it, I was right and you were wrong for once..." Quote
B.L. Davenport Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 "Let's say neither of ya was totally right or wrong...Bo didn't you fail that test cos ya didn't want to do it the right way?" Daisy asked innocently hiding a grin behind her sandwich. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Bo shook his head, raising an eyebrow at Daisy."I didn't do it the wrong way, I did it in a way that I got another answer that was correct for doing it that way. Just because they were too slow t'figure that out weren't no fault of mine....least I never failed my spelling tests cause I was too busy lookin out for pretty girls....or in your case, the boy who sat across the room."He retorted back with a raised eyebrow. Quote
B.L. Davenport Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Daisy shook her head at Bo's logic it made no sense whatsoever to anyone but him..."I only missed those words on the test it's not like I couldn't spell them at all. Bet you still couldn't get the correct answers to them math problems." She smirked she'd only missed the words on the test, sure she'd gotten in a bit of trouble for watching the boy across the aisle and failing instead of paying attention to her school work but she still learned the words and could spell just about anything she wanted to today. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 "Like I said back then to Luke. Show me one instance in my life where I am ever gonna need to use those math problems then i'll learn it. Until then, I know how to do the basics, that's all I'll ever need. Then if there's something harder I need to work out, well that's what calculators are for."He retorted back, swallowing down the last of his milk. Quote
B.L. Davenport Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 "Bo your impossible." Daisy said sticking her tongue out at her younger cousin beginning to put the dirty dishes in the sink and fill it with water to wash them. Quote
DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Luke didn't say anything. He had found that sometimes, especially with Bo, talking did no good anyway. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 Bo grinned but stuck his tongue back out at her before finishing off the last of his milk. Quote
B.L. Davenport Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Flicking Bo with the dish towel she held in her hand Daisy rolled her eyes at him before going back to her task of washing the dishes. Quote
DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 "Well...seems to me I taught you a few things you were glad to know later...even if it wasn't math," remarked Luke stretching his tan arms and tilting his head to the side. "Like how to act around girls... youu'd be dateless every Saturday night if it weren't for me..." he added with a smirk. Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Bo gave a serious nod, putting his milk glass on the small table in the lounge before sitting back against the back of the couch. "That's true...but then again you only taught me the basics cousin, the rest of it I figured out and perfected on my own...course then I had to teach you what i'd figured out which never went down well..." He retorted back with a grin. He wasn't being big headed, Luke really had taught him a lot about girls being 4 years older than the youngest Duke Boy, and it had helped a lot when he came to tackle the jungle that was High School. Luke knew how thankful he was for that already, he didn't need telling millions of times. No, again Bo was just having fun bantering with his cousins. It wasn't very often they just got to sit around reminising and joking about times gone by long ago. Quote
B.L. Davenport Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Daisy finished up the dishes and joined the boys in the livingroom for some more reminiscing, frowning when she saw Bo's empty milk glass on the table. "Bo I just finished the dishes and there you still got a glass so YOU can just wash it." Changing her frown to a quick grin she remembered Bo's first experiences with girls and high one girl in particular who had been a friend of hers made Bo go all googly eyed. Quote
DaisyMaeDuke Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Luke looked at his cousin with a grin. "What was the one girl's name Bo...the blond that looked like she could squeeze through the bars of the jail no problem...started with a J didn't it?" he asked with a twinkle in his eye. "Dang she had you wrapped around her finger for a while..." Quote
BoJamesDuke Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 "Oh hush, I ain't the only guy ever to have fallen head over heels for a woman Lukas."Bo retorted back with a roll of his eyes, although he really didn't like being reminded about her. Quote
