Lukas_KD
Does anybody know if this was ever a real song by Jessi Colter? It's her voice, it's a good background... it sounds really recorded! And yet you only ever hear the chorus, and that not all very clear...This has driven me nuts since the first time I saw the episode. I hope it is a real song, but can anyone let me know for sure?"...ya know there's good times waitin' on down the road..."
LoriDavenport
Yep it sure is. I happen to be a fan of Jessi's, I love the song.
MaryAnne
Lori, don't leave us hanging! LOL. What's the title of the song? What album is it on? Is it available on iTunes?
RogerDuke
It's good to see you're back Lukas. I've often wondered that myself. I hate to admit it but I've never bought any music of Jessi's (I am a Waylon fan though and not just because of Dukes). I have always wondered about that song though. I'd love to hear the whole thing. It's such a part of Dukes history because it was from one of the Georgia episodes.....and I love them Georgia episodes!!!! MaryAnne
I found it! It's called "That's the Way a Cowboy Rocks and Rolls." It's on iTunes on the Jessi Colter Collection album. The sample of the song has that line that Lukas noted. Argh...iTunes is bein' a pain and I can't purchase the album or the song at this time. Frizzin'...frazzzn'...&%*$!&%! Lukas_KD
I've always been around, Roger, just not always on the forums, but thank you! Thanks for the info, MaryAnne and Lori. Finally an answer... LOL. I found the song on SpiralFrog of all places, listening now. Yep, it is one of those more obscure bits of Duke history...
