Bo watched him with a small sigh, waiting to see if Daisy would get up or if he would have to go and get her...not sure if she was actually working today or not...he was just too tired to remember everything.

Daisy soon came out, having touched up her make up and looking to Bo. "You ready?"

Bo nodded gently and pushed away from the side, pointing to Luke gently.

"So is he.."

Daisy looked at him in shock. You...you're going?!"

Luke simply nodded a little.

"Oh Luke thank you! Thank you!" she said as she hugged him.

Luke looked at Bo pleadingly, still not at all comfortable about this and not understanding why she would thank him when he was the reason everything had gone so very wrong.

Bo swallowed softly and caught Daisy before she could go hug him, softly shaking his head at her.

"Not now Daisy..."

Daisy swallowed as she was caught mid-hug. She looked at Luke and simply nodded. "Alright...let's ...let's go."

Bo softly let her go after giving her a quick squeeze before leading them all outside, helping Luke into Dixie and letting Daisy drive this time, knowing with how tired he was he wouldn't be able to keep his focus on the road.

Daisy drove quickly to the hospital, almost in fear that now Luke was with them they would be too late.

Luke just sat, letting the wind dry his tears.

Bo too sat quietly, fighting the urge to fall asleep in the comfy seats desperatly as they got closer and closer to the hospital, knowing that only he and Daisy would be leaving that night.

They soon arrived the three of them making their way inside, Luke tempted to run.

Daisy turned back to him. "Luke?"

Bo swallowed hard, looking back at him as well, ready to grab him should Luke try and run...now that Luke was through the doors it wasn't likely he was going to be leaving again until he was back to more or less his normal self. Stepping forward a little, he reached his hand out to his older cousin, saying softly.

"C'mon brother..."

Luke swallowed hard, his heart pounding in his chest, but hesitantly takes Bo by the hand.

Smiling as reassuringly as he could, Bo softly gave a squeeze to his older cousins hand and walked along the corridors with him, leading him to Jesse's room.

Daisy swallowed as they arrived. "Uncle Jesse? Uncle Jesse...look...look who's here..."

Luke hung back his lip quivering hardly daring to look at him as tears rolled down his cheeks.

Bo kept a supportive arm around Luke softly as he guided him to Jesse's side where their Uncle could actually see him.

"Yeah...just like I said Uncle Jesse...I told ya he'd be here..." He said softly.

Jesse opened his eyes slowly and looked up, smiling as he finally saw Luke though his heart ached at how his eldest looked. Never before had Luke looked so pale and withdrawn and it hurt to think that there was nothing he could do...that he was the cause of his eldests' pain. Reaching out with a weak trembling hand, he gently took Luke's in his and gave it a firm squeeze.

"There he is...there's my....special little boy..." he said softly, knowing that right now Luke wouldn't care about the old term of endearment for him being used in public....right now Luke didn't seem to care about anything besides his own devastating feelings.

Luke allowed his hand to be took, barely raising his eyes to meet his uncle's, not even bothering to stop his tears. "I...I'm sorry...I...I didn't...mean t....I...I...I'm s-s-so sorry," stammered Luke as he heard what Jesse called him, the words cutting him like a knife through his heart.

Jesse sighed softly, knowing instantly then what was wrong with Luke as he found the strength to gently pull his boy closer and hug him to him, rubbing the back of his neck and his back softly.

"Oh Luke...Lukas...this isn't your fault son..."

Luke hugged him close, tears dropping rapidly as the broken young man clung to the man that had been father to him since he was little. This was the thanks he got for everything Luke put him through all those years...for all the sleepless nights he caused, for the bail money he posted, the extra mouth to feed that Luke had been...and this...this was how Luke repaid him...by failing him when Jesse needed him most.

Luke just sobbed desperately. "Don't die...Jesse don't die!" he pleaded.

Daisy swallowed hard tears in her own eyes as she watched.

Bo swallowed hard as he heard the broken plea, closing his eyes and looking down at the floor - knowing all too well what the answer would be.

Jesse sighed softly and rested his head against Luke's, making him sit on the bed while they hugged so as to make him a little more comfortable...hopefully he could at least ease his eldest's mind a little before the lord decided it was his time.

"Now son...you know that I ain't got a choice...when its your time, its your time...I've had a wonderful life with you kids...I wouldn't change one thing about it...and now I gotta...move on and live the next experience...with yer Auntie...an yer momma and daddy..."

"Why?! Why?!" cried Luke between his desperate sobs. "Why not me...you...you don't deserve....it....why...why...." he choked out trembling all over as he hid his face against his uncle. "I'm sorry...."

"Because nothing lasts forever Luke...however much we want it to. I've had so many great years...blessed years here...and now its time for me to move on...you still have so much to give...so much to achieve in your life Luke...and I know...I know you can do it son...i'll always watch over ya...help ya when I can...I know it wont be the same...but we all have to grow up....grow old....and leave life to the next generation we raised. I have no doubt you'll do me proud son...you always have...and you always will...ain't nothin' you've done..." He stopped a minute with a small chuckle "...Well...nothing major that you've done that I ain't been proud of..."

Jesse said soothingly, seeing now what Bo was talking about.

Luke sniffed shaking his head. Jesse didn't know. He didn't know how Luke had panicked. He didn't know....that it was because of him that precious time was wasted getting him help. "Y-you don't understand...." murmured Luke amidst his tears. "Wh-why..why?"

"What don't I understand son....hmmm..."

He murmured gently, knowing all about the incident when he had collapsed as Bo had told him when he had asked why Luke was refusing to come in. He wanted to hear Luke say it though, so that he could put his mind to rest.

Luke shook his head. "I'm sorry...I...I didn't....I....I..." he tried to continue but found himself shaking more and more. He glanced towards Bo, to see if he was still there.

Bo smiled a little encouragingly, nodding softly to Luke to carry on, Jesse still rubbing Luke's back softly.

"Its ok son....just take...a deep breath and...just tell me..."
