Luke got up getting some painkiller out of the cabinet, getting a glass of water also, and taking them to Bo. carefully he put the pills in his mouth and held the water to his lips. "That should help." He supposed he was being a little over-cautious. Truth was though, Luke had learned the hard way that his loved ones could be torn from him in an instant. He wasn't letting that happen again. Not on his watch.

Before Bo really knew what was happening, he had swallowed down some water and the pills with it. He didnt know what they were, they could have been sleeping tablets or poision for all he knew...

"Luke...m'ok....stop worrying.."

"Just in case," explained Luke. It'll help with the pain...and the swelling too I hope."

"I figured....but just relax okay..." He said reassuringly.

Luke sighed, but nodded a little. "Sorry," he murmured.

"S'alright...." He reassured with a small smile

Luke nodded a little sitting down beside him again. "Guess I'm just a worry-wort anymore..."

"You've always been a worrier Luke, that's just who ya are. You may not wear your heart on yer sleeve so much but when you care bout someone, we all sure know it."

He said with a chuckle.

Having sat there for a little while by herself, Cassie hadn't crossed paths with anyone. She had sat by that dusty road, dirtying her dress and silent. Even if a few angry tears streamed her face, no sobs escaped her lips. Maybe she cared more about Luke than she ought to, but she thought she owed. She did owe him.

Taking a deep breath, she sighed out loud. Suddenly, with all the strength she could muster, she forced herself on to her feet. Cassie could've just stood there or walked back to the hotel or did anything she wanted at that moment. So, she turned to lose herself in the patch of woods behind. Truthfully, she wouldn't have been lost, but she wanted to just take a walk where no one would notice her. Things had changed, but she figured that they hadn't changed enough that she wouldn't know where she was going. Plus, the walk would be peaceful..

Luke gave a small smile knowing that was true. He sighed softly just thinking over the events of the day. "I suppose yer right."

"Course i'm right...I know you better than I know myself...which is quite a scary thought really but there ya go.."

Says with a smirk, shifting a little in the chair.

Luke smirked back at him. "Cute Bo. Real cute." He got up, crossing to the sink to wash out his mug.

"Uh huh, that's what I am. And dont you forget it neither." Bo said with a small laugh.;

"How can I? You constantly remind me," retorted Luke, washing his mug, rubbing the back of his neck as he stared out the window.

Bo frowned a little as he saw it, asking gently.

"You ok?"

Luke stopped what he was doing unconsciously. "Sorry...just...thinkin bout things I guess."

"Thinkin bout what?" Bo asked back, he would have gone up and put his hand on Luke's shoulder but he couldn't at that moment.

Luke sighed. "Just...today...everything...you know."

Bo nodded softly, not saying anything more on the subject but he knew Luke knew he would talk about it if Luke needed to.

Luke sighed. "Cassie comin'...an' everything...just...made me...miss Sara.." he choked slightly as he mentioned her name shaking his head.

Bo swallowed softly as he looked back at his cousin, it hurt him to see him so upset and the worst thing was the fact that he was this upset nearly all the time. He couldn't mention Sara's name without tears being shed, he couldn't even think about her without clinging to Abi like his lifeline...he couldn't look at his own daughter without thinking about Sara...and so the cycle kept going on and on and on. He wanted Luke to be better and stop being so depressed more than Cassie did, but breaking him or taking him down to the very bottom....that was what had got him so mad. Luke was already there, he'd been there ever since Sara had passed on...he just didn't understand how Cassie could think like that.

Removing his hands from the ice, the painkillers having kicked in some now, he headed over to his older cousin and put an arm around his shoulders.

"I know ya miss her brother...we all do..."

Luke trembled under his hand. He was starting to cry again and he hated himself for that. His eyes shifted down, looking at a loose floorboard as if it would stand up and talk at any moment, at the same time begging himself to keep his composure. It didn't seem to work though as two large tears escaped his eyes.

"Why Bo? Sara never did nothin' but good...t' everyone...wh-why?!" He choked again his hands flying to his eyes in a vain attempt to hold back his tears.

Bo sighed softly and squeezed his shoulders softly with his arm, shaking his head.

"No one ever knows why these things happen Luke...they just do...I mean we all can't live forever, that's undeniable...some people are taken earlier than others through no fault of there own...its just life...some people sure don't deserve it and we know that better than anyone...but as hard as it is to accept, you have to accept it sometime...you'll never stop missing her, I know that....but she wouldn't want you to live like this...she wouldn't want you to not be able to mention her name because you miss her. She'd want you to move on with your life, with Abi, and remember the good times you had with each other..."

Luke nodded tearily. "I know...I know...I'm tryin'...I am.." he said softly though there was a lump in his throat. "I don't mean t' dump all this on you Bo...I'm sorry," he added softly.

Bo shook his head,

"Don't be sorry Luke, at least your talking about it and not keeping it all bottled up. Means I know what I need to do to help you to a degree..."
