*whimpers more as Lavinia and Jesse started shouting, reaching out to Luke, not wanting to be in the middle of the two adults, wanting his big brother to protect him*

La*sighs*You want your Luke Bo? *hands Bo off* Why don't you go help Bo change for bed an ya both head there...keep his inhaler with him..

Yes Ma'am *answers softly, taking his baby brother back in his arms and heading theer**

La: *nods picking up Daisy carrying her off to her room to put to bed too*

*cuddles into his Luke with a whimper, clinging to his shirt*

Shhh I gotcha Bo *quietly kissing the youngster's temple as he took him to their room and helped him change into his pjs*

[RogerDuke]

*starts to hang soaked red hat on hanger then realized how much it's dripping and tosses it in sink. Sits down on green wooden kitchen chair and lays head on folded arms on table*

La: *soon comes out* Oh dont you start pouting...cmon...we best get you dried off too

[RogerDuke]

*remaining seated, he grabs Lavinia's hand and looks up at her*

Fer a second there tonight I thought maybe I'd never see them boys again.

*voice becomes noticeably choked up*

I learned a lot tonight.....I learned how much I really love them youngsters. I've learned what a big job this is gonna be.

*smiles* It's gonna be worth it though.

*still with his soaked clothes on, Jesse stands up and hugs his wife while realizing that this is a defining moment in his life. After all the stress and confusion of accepting the 3 kids, it finally hits him that there's no turning back now. His committment to them will be life-long. The strength of his love for them is now the third most powerful thing he has ever felt in his life...after the love of the Lord and Lavinia*

*sniffles in Luke's arms, hugging into him once his pyjama's were on and settling against the older boys chest. His thumb - even though he was 5 years old now - still went to his mouth and his little hand clung to Luke's shirt as he closed his eyes*

*cuddles him close rocking him in his arms* You rest now Bo...I gotcha

*falls asleep in his arms quickly, tired*

*bends over kissing him softly*

*continues to hug his wife*

I never did find out how those boys got lost in the first place. I guess I'll have to git ta the bottom of it in the morning.

*sits back down and stares at the wall in deep thought*

Ya know honey, I wonder if them boys are going to be just like their fathers?....high-spirited and full of the dickens

La: I have no doubt of it *arms around him* I just hope they stay as close as they are now...

*glances at Bo as they drive on wondering if he was thinking about that time the same as he was- he wouldn't doubt it. Sometimes, he and Bo could understand each other without words... they used to tease Daisy and call it their secret language but in reality, it was just a reflection of how close they were...Lavinia's prophecy fulfilled*

*was busy looking out the front window, driving expertly and with ease, but obviously lost in thought with a furrowed brow that had been set on his forehead ever since Jesse had given them the news about the farm. He was remembering the same as Luke but also all the great times they had all had together as well at the only place that had ever been his home*

*sighs knowing Bo's thoughts and saying determinedly* We aint gonna lose the farm Bo...we AIN'T

*bit his lip softly, he knew he could trust Luke and rarely every was Luke wrong when he said that something was or wasn't gonna happen...but sometimes even Luke was wrong...he just prayed that this wasn't one of those times as he pulled up in the bushes of the Boar's Nest*

*slides out the General checking to make sure Bo was ok- he normally wasn't this quiet...not when they were about to do something illegal...usually he was jabbering away so much Luke had to hush him* You alright? *asks softly*

*nods, heading for the back door*

Let's just get this done...quicker we get the farm outta Boss' greedy money grabbin paws the better...

*he replied with obvious contempt and spite in his voice as he described Boss*

*nods following him staying close behind him*

*takes out his pocket knife, listening at the door for a minute before determining that no one was in the room. Carefully, he picked the lock on the door before heading inside Boss' office, starting his search for the letters*

*goes in starting to look too after closing the door behind him*

*usually he would have been whistling or something as he did this, but today was too important*

Got anything yet? *going through a stack of papers on his desk*
