August 31, 200719 yr Jenni shook her head."Obviously not good enough..."She looked up, hearing a noise and picked up her books."Your cousin's waiting for you....i'll see you tomorrow..."With that, she quickly headed off down the road.
August 31, 200719 yr But Jenni this time didn't turn around, she just kept on jogging down the road until she rounded a corner and disappeared from site. Little 11 year old Bo jogged after Luke, calling to him."Luke! Wait up!"
August 31, 200719 yr Author Luke watched her go before turning to Bo with a sigh. "You have a gift fer showin up at exactly the wrong time ya know that?" he asked tousling the blond's curls.
August 31, 200719 yr Author "Never mind...cmon...we best get home." he said putting his arm across Bo's shoulder.
August 31, 200719 yr Bo shrugged and nodded, putting his arm around Luke's waist and walking with him."So why were ya runnin' after Jenni?"
August 31, 200719 yr Bo gave an 'ooooh' and nodded, kicking stones along the pavement before looking to Luke."So what ya gonna do about it?"
August 31, 200719 yr Bo laughed a little."Nothin'?! Oh come on, you love Jenni course your gonna do somethin'..."
August 31, 200719 yr "Oh I dunno...only this..."He reached into Luke's backpack and pulled out his notebook, opening it to a page where Jenni's name was written over and over.
August 31, 200719 yr Author He grabbed the note book before hitting Bo over the head with it. "What are ya doin pokin round my stuff?!"
August 31, 200719 yr "Ow!"He quickly snatched the book back and jumped, whacking Luke over the head with it."You were the one left it open on the bedroom floor!"
August 31, 200719 yr Author Luke grabbed him and held the squirming eleven year old high above his head, Bo being small for his age. "Ya still shouldna been snooping" he said carrying him over to the creek.
August 31, 200719 yr Bo squirmed hard, still holding the book in his hands, before yelling out to Luke."You dump me in there an' i'll tell Jenni ya love her an' I'll tell Uncle Jesse you keep skippin' class to go look in the windows of the classes she's in!"
August 31, 200719 yr Author "How would ya know I'm doin' that unless you was skippin' class yaself?" asked Luke standing near the water.
August 31, 200719 yr "Because I overheard you an' yer friends talkin' about it the other day...I mean it, i'll tell!" He said confidently, glaring at Luke.
August 31, 200719 yr Author Luke siged. "Fine." He set Bo down but pointed a finger at him. "You stay outta my stuff from now on."
August 31, 200719 yr "I was never in your stuff! You just left it out where I could see it! I can't help it your messy!"He said accusingly back.
August 31, 200719 yr Author "An' I can't help it your ticklish!" With that he grabbed hold of Bo tickling him unmercifully before letting him go. "Let Uncle Jesse know I might be late home..." he said heading off towards Jenni's house.
August 31, 200719 yr Bo shrieked and writhed as Luke tickled him, sighing with a small giggle as Luke let him go and ran off in the other direction, nodding."Alright but I can't promise yer dinner'll still be there if'n ya don't get back in time!"
