His foot was red and swollen but they couldn't put the cast on the foot until the swelling had receeded some.Putting him into his room, clipping the bed to the wall, she lifted his foot carefully into traction, making sure it was secure before leaving him to sleep off the rest of the anestethia and to tell his family they could see him. He's gonna have a nice scar on his foot and right now its very swollen and red so we can't cast it...but eventually the swelling will go down and we'll get him plastered up..."
