Bo chuckled, shaking his head.

"Well you just gonna have to find another way now ain't ya..."

"I'll try..." answered Luke with big puppy eyes and a forlorn expression. But a day without Bo is like a day without hours...jsut dont work."

Bo shook his head, looking up at the cieling.

"Nu uh, your not sweet talking your way outta this one..."

Luke shrugged. "Well was worth a shot."

Bo smiled and looked back to him, trying to find a comfortable way to sit in the typically uncomfortable hospital chairs.

Luke moved over on his temporary bed. "Not much room, but might be a bit better than the chair if you want..."

Bo looked over again, noticing what Luke meant, and got a slight suspicion that maybe it wasn't so much Luke was worried about Bo's comfort...but more Luke wanted him closer by but wasn't about to say so. He knew Luke was terrified behind the jokes and calm exterior really.

He nodded with a smile and got up, carefully getting into the bed next to him and stretching out.

"Better?" asked Luke, thinking to himself that he felt better with Bo close by.

Bo nodded, putting his free arm behind his head.

"Yeah much...would feel even better if I could move my other arm though..."

Luke sighed a little, feeling really bad about that but refusing to give in to the guilthe felt knowing it would just upset Bo. "Well...least you don't need no operation to set it back."

Bo chuckled a little and nodded.

"Yeah that's true...I only gotta put up with this for a couple o'weeks...you gotta put up with a cast and crutches for a whole 6 months and then physio afterwards..."

"Six months?! They told you six months?!" he exclaimed paling at the thought. "I can't be laid up for six months!"

Bo looked to him, frowning.

"Well that's generally how long it takes for broken bones to heal....and sorry to say it cousin but you ain't got a whole lotta choice in the matter..."

Luke felt himself starting to panick. "We'll lose the farm...they'll take away Jaime..."

Bo sighed and shook his head.

"Luke we're not going to lose the farm...just because your laid up does not mean the end of the world...I can pick up the slack for a while and help Jesse around the farm and they are not going to take Jamie away from you...just calm down..."

Luke ran a hand over his face. "I'm so scared bout this..." he admitted.

Bo put a hand on his shoulder gently.

"You don't need to be...its a standard operation and a standard treatment...no different to when I broke my arm when I fell out the tree house..."

Luke sighed deep and nodded. "It ain't the operation that scares me...or the pain....it's the goin under...the not knowing what is goin on..."

Bo shook his head with a smile.

"Ah its just like bein' asleep...you'll fall asleep then wake up what feels like a few minutes later an' yer foot'll be all on the mend...nothin' to worry about...for once just lay back an' let yerself be lazy..."

Luke sighed wishing it was that easy for him.

Bo continued to rub Luke's shoulder gently.

"C'mon Luke its not that bad..."

Luke nodded. "I guess not."

Bo nodded back with a smile.

"You know its not...your just gettin' panicky for nothin'..."

"I guess..." he said unconsciously scooting closer to Bo.

Bo kept an arm around Luke's shoulders and hugged him gently.
