Hey TXZ 045, Sure the Georgia episodes were rough. Do you know why they changed them? They changed them (toned them down) because IT'S WHAT THE PEOPLE WANTED!!! This is a democracy and the majority spoke.

What the majority on the Hazzardnet would say to you is this.....you began your stay here immediately causing trouble. That's okay though. All of us Hazzard folks like life a little on the wild side. However, your wild may be a little different than ours. Your "wild" seems to be focusing on the sexuality of our favorite actress. You are ONLY obligated to defend your actions to our moderators and the rest of us will live with their decisions because we love and respect them. However, if you would like to take up the challenge of defending your actions to me, I will happily engage in this debate. Let me start it by asking you this. Why do you feel it necessary to focus so intensely on the sexuality of Daisy? I look foward to continuing this debate as long as you would like or as long as our moderators will allow. Sincerly, Roger

The topic was posted in in August of 2006. The first 'oppositional' reply was posted on December 2nd, of 2007. If that is considered starting my 'stay' here causing 'trouble' then what is the definition of starting my 'stay' here not causing 'trouble'?

I attached the 'poll' to the top of the thread because I am obviously well aware it is a 'Democracy'.

As for your desire to 'debate' I see no need. Nor will I take part in it. If your 'upset' about the topic... thanks for taking over a year to finaly admit it.

I've stated numerous times if the mod(s) see fit to move/remove/delete the topic, then so be it,... it will be whatever it will be. One mod has already stated the topic was ok. If you have a problem with that, take it up with the mod or mods.

Thank you for your time and have a nice day good sir.

First of all , Roger , please don't say the majority of HNet when it comes to saying something in a negative way about someone on here. TX just pointed out something that was interesting to people and he did it over a YEAR ago. He didn't focus on something as he all he did was just bring attention to a little detail.

Also please get your facts straight about the majority of the public getting the series moved to California. It was initially a cost factor and wanted to keep the series on TV. Keeping production on the road was too cost prohibitive at the time.

There should be no need to debate this or even bring this to point we have here. MaryAnne has spoken and is ok with everything. I understand some people are upset with this kind of topic, but please re-read the entire thread. You will NOT find anything sexual or obscene written or even alluded to.

Everyone has the right on here to voice their opinions about it. Ya'll have done it with the respect that would make the Dukes proud. But also think about this - As stated before, the topic was posted over a year ago and it took this long to say something about it, why? If it was too offensive to some of you why post on it at all, the thread could have been just a nother dead one then.

I'm Back

First off, I think Roger was saying that the Dukes toned down the content of the show because that is what people wanted, (and correct me Roger if I am wrong on that) not that people wanted it moved to California. Quite frankly, I don't have a preference where they film it, as long as it turns out as good as seasons 3-7 were. And that happened. Sorry Roger if I am misreading you here, too, but I think that you were saying that we shouldn't focus so hard on Cathy in that way. No, it was not written here, but I think that by watching so hard for malfunctions like that is in agreeance with what Roger was saying.

Also I'd like to put in my two cents from a few posts ago...

First off, please watch your language. This is a family site, and should be treated as such. Secondly, maybe you aren't a firm believer in family values or high moral standards, but I am. I do not stand behind them, or use them as a shield, I stand firmly on my beliefs.

About Daisy in jail on her fake birthday, that was from the first season, that didn't make the entire show. Unless you didn't get around to watching the rest of the series, you may have noticed that it was pretty much nonexistant (or toned down, which ever you prefer) beyond season 2. I never said Daisy wasn't good looking, I just believe that we should not view her in such a dishonoring way.

I loved the way you put everything Laura Duke, You have such a great perspective on things. I can tell that you really thought things out, and would like to thank you for your opinion. It was greatly apreciated that you give your thoughts in such a great way.

Now, that's my uncle Jesse (Roger) you are talking about. I would not be surprised to find that many posts take over a year to get answered. Simply because there are so many threads to look through. It would take the average person a LONG time to read through each and every one. Anyway, I would like to thank all of you for your opinions.

I do not want to come off as rude to any of you, or be a difficult person, but I just think that the Dukes if family entertainment, and shouldn't be treated as anything else. Heck, if I wanted to see the other stuff, I might as well watch the movie.

I'll catch y'all later.

I watch the movie every now and then because I like it.

I watch the DVD's over and over too bceause I like it, but I prefer season 1 the best because to me it was more real.

What language are you talking about? My signature? Come off of it. I have had that on here for a very long time. So back off on that one as I never use bad language or call anyone anything here.

You seem to only agree on what YOU think is righteous and want it changed bacause of that. Yes the Dukes is Family entertainment and so is this site, and it is not a morals site either. Everyone has opinions on how the Dukes, coul have, should have, would have been. I love this site more than anything because it is a true Dukes fan site, but the morality issue is getting too much in a lot of topics. at least for me anyway.

Ya'll can say what you will about morals and such as you don't know mine or what I believe and don't make any insuations at all about it. I will NOT tell others how to live their lives or what to believe in or preach so please do the same on here if you have any respect. This is not the Moral Majority. I stand on my beliefs and convictions more than you will ever know , so don't go there at all. What you choose to follow or believe is your choice and your choice alone. I am not here to judge that will be done by someone else.

Capt. Redneck, I don't view trying to encourage high morals "negative".

TXZ045, maybe people weren't responding because they were using the old "ignore it and it will go away" mentality. That usually works....but for some reason you continue to push you obsession with pornographic Daisy.

Also, I still haven't gotten an answer to my question. You have done a great job of avoiding it though. Here it is again. Why do you feel it necessary to focus on the sexuality of Daisy? Until you answer that, I have zero respect for you.

Well, it's true though, he did begin his stay here by causing trouble. If that's negative, then it's negative. But, it's also a fact. He's a man with a plan. I don't know what that plan is but it has something to do with the egotistical great importance of his sexual desires. If the moderators think he's allowed to express those desires then I'm sure they won't mind me expressing my desires to shut him up.

Please, don't quarrel 'bout "wardrobe malfunction".

I think that DOH was a great show, and every fan watches it for several reasons. Nobody wants to deny family values in it, but..... it's normal that guys like Daisy (and not only in a "innocent" way, and it's not pornography). How many girls watch this show because of Bo and Luke (and me because of Enos)?; and I think that girls like to see Bo and Luke shirtless (I'd like to see Enos shirtless too, sometimes... :innocent:), and it's not pornography.

I don't think that TXZ045 is "obsessed" with Daisy's body, but not more obsessed than any normal guy.

I read all TXZ045's posts 'bout this thread, and I didn't find anything real offensive or pornographic 'bout Daisy.

Capt Redneck post #29 When you are saying "What language are you referring to? My Signature? Come off of it..." No, I was not referring to your signature. I have better things to do than critique what people choose as their signatures. Next time before you get all up in arms, please know what is going on.

Don't everyone agree with what they hold true? Yes, I do want it changed, not only because I agree with it, but because I think it is showing (again, if it doesn't offend anyone, I am going to use the word) high moral character for us Dukes to show that we do not watch the show because of that type of thing. I do not think that any of us are here to judge. In fact, I think we all want the same thing, and that is to make the site better. We all just have different opinions about how to do it.

For now, I am going to stand on what I think is right, unless someone says something that can change my opinion, and that has been known to happen. But I don't think that getting all ticked off and being rude is the way to get an opinion across. That also includes me, for those of you who think I am goody-two shoes!

Seems to me that you don't like people having other opinions about the Dukes. My sig has been there for a couple of years now, way before you joined this site. I like your statement about me getting all up in arms. That is funny as I am just doing the same thing as you - trying to stand up for what I think is right.

Please tell me where I have gotten ticked off and am rude to anyone on this thread. I haven't ever called anyone anything bad or am rude or anything close to it. So where you get that from my post is beyond me. Just don't want to hear about the high morals you so want everyone to follow on here.

What is wrong with this site that you want changed to make it better so you say? You want it to be strictly of high moral character? Come on now this HazzardNet, go and read all the posts from the beginning of this site.

There is a Montgomery Gentry song "What Do Ya Think About That" I love and speaks almost what I think. Here are some the lyrics.

"Shot a little eight ball down at the pool hall

Drink a beer with my friends

Now don't judge me and I won't judge you

Cause we all get judged in the end"

"Some people care about what other people think

Worry about what they say

Let a little gossip

Coming from a loose lip ruin a perfect day

Say, blah, blah, blah, just a jacking their jaws

Got a letta roll off-a my back

I don't give a dern what other people think

What do ya think about that"

I'm gone

TXZ045, maybe people weren't responding because they were using the old "ignore it and it will go away" mentality. That usually works....but for some reason you continue to push you obsession with pornographic Daisy.

Also, I still haven't gotten an answer to my question. You have done a great job of avoiding it though. Here it is again. Why do you feel it necessary to focus on the sexuality of Daisy? Until you answer that, I have zero respect for you.

What you view as 'continue'ing' to 'push' an 'obsession' with 'pornographic' Daisy translates to me replying to a topic? .... interesting.

And as for this 'question' you have for me. It would be humanly impossible for me to care any less than I already do about how much 'respect' you do, and or don't have for me.

However, to answer your question I feel its important to focus on Daisy as as 'whole' not a partial. If I see her as a 'whole' and part of that 'whole' is the sexuality side included... why should I have to stop just because some other human being feels different.....

And if Daisy would be so up set about ppl seeing her extra stuff why would she pose for a bra-less photo wearing a thin white shirt with water on it in all the right places?.... if she was so overly-concerned about how her Dukes Fans viewed her back in the day why would she risk 'upsetting' them by posing for said photograph? I'm sure most of you have seen the photo I speak of, I would attach it to my reply, but it will prolly just 'upset' somebody so I'll leave it off however it can be found through a google search using the terms: catherine-bach should be the 3rd or so site that comes up.

Respect me or not, tiz of no concern to me. I am not one of these 'try to please all the people all the time' types. If somebody is disrespectful to me, I simply view it as their 'personal' opinion. We all have one, some of us have many. Just because you are of one particular 'personal' opinion does not mean that everyone else is, or should have to 'agree' with yours.

And the show was 'toned down' but there was still plenty of T&A through out the rest of the shows run. If you wish to deny that, then like Maryanne said, what show have you been watching all these years?

Thank you for your time, and good day.

Hey everyone

Capt. Redneck...Calm down about your signature. I never said that it was horrible or that I had a problem with it. When I said that you were getting all up in arms, I was referring to you getting upset on post # 29 when you misinterpreted (which may have been my fault) that I had a problem with your signature. As for my saying "But I don't think that getting all ticked off and rude is the way to get an opinion across" I was talking generally. We are all getting somewhat upset about the whole thing.

I must be hard to understand, so next time I will try to be more clear as to what I am writing so it doesn't get so confusing.

Thank you for the lyrics, yes, I am well aware of the song. I, too, own a radio!!

As for the site, there is nothing wrong with it, but there is ALWAYS room for improvement!

Deleting or moving this thread serves no purpose.

One thread/ poster on a message board does not define a website, the forums of Hazzardnet are one section of Hazzardnet.com.

I voted to leave the topic as is. I took into consideration that Catherine Bach appeared in a 1970s movie titled Nicole. It featured nudity and intimate moments between female characters.

:p Hey Everyone!

Wow! I checked this yesterday morning, and a lot has happened in 24 hours.

First off, it seems that my letter possibly offended and upset some people? It seems that after I wrote my letter, everyone got really upset. If that is the case, I really am sorry. That was never my intention. If you could, please re-read my letter and tell me if there is something that upset any of you. I would be willing to talk it out with any of you.

Also, I feel that we are straying off the subject a little. It was about a subject matter, and it almost seems that there is a little bit of some personal insults flying at one another? "Dukes don't fight Dukes," is what Jesse Duke would say on the Dukes of Hazzard if Bo and Luke fought each other. I think the same should hold true here. I think that all of us respect and care for one another, and I don't think that ANY of us want to fight. It's great that we all stand up for what we think is fair and right, that takes courage! So, I respect and admire each and every one of you for that! It's NEVER easy to do that. But, I feel that things are getting to tense.

After re-reading, it also seems that between a couple of parties there could be some connections that are crossed? Do you think that it could be possible for all of us to skip this particular thread for a few days and maybe come back a little more refreshed? I think if we did that, it may change the perspecive and maybe come back with a different point of view? For me, sometimes just thinking about things, makes me see things differently. Or, is it possible to set up a chat time for this discussion. I just really feel that there's a bit of a problem, and if we would talk it out, it might work a little better. A live chat might be better than writing back-and-forth about it. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Forget my idea? Like it? Please let me know.

I would like everyone to respond to my suggestion. I just feel that the way things are going now, it's heading for disaster really quickly. It seems like everyone on the HazzardNet feels they have to pick a side and fight one another. I kind of feel things are getting nasty. Or, maybe I'm possibly over-reacting?

Let me know what all of you think. If we don't get this resolved soon, I'm going to have to resort to something that NOBODY wants, I'm going to have to start telling jokes. And, people say that I tell the stupidest jokes in the world! :-P You wouldn't want that, would you? :-P

Also, extremely changing the subject here, I hope that all of you had a nice Christmas. Have a wonderful New Year. And you all have one awesome weekend, okay!

Wow, I have so many thoughts on this but I'll just write the most significant ones. Daney is right by saying that one message board does not define a website. Let me add to that...one pervert does not define a community.

Laura's right that "Dukes don't fight Dukes"

Has everybody heard the WWJD thing? I like to add to it by also asking, What would Jesse do? When Bo, Luke, Enos, Cooter, etc joke about Daisy's sexuality it's different when an outsider does it. You can't compare "If we weren't cousins I'd marry you"....to....how Daisy was treated by men on the show who degraded her (for example, the guys who Boss bought the Bo and Luke masks for). When the boys fought them, it WASN'T Duke fighting Duke, it was Dukes fighting perverts. That's why I don't feel bad about criticizing TXZ for his behavior. Daisy is my neice and he will not treat her like that without a fight. He is not only insulting her family but he is also degrading all the women on the Hazzardnet. So, what would Jesse do? He'd protect his family and his niece's honor. Does anybody remember a single scene in 7 years that Jesse degraded a woman? Bo and Luke punched people who degrade women. TXZ doesn't need punched. What he does need is to have a mentor like Uncle Jesse to show him what it's like to be a real man.

Okay....I'm gonna stick my nose in because i'm nosy and like a good argument now and again.

I have to say I'm on the fence about this. While it is kinda wrong and sounds quite preverted that you actually look for Daisy Duke breast shots during the show and take screen caps of them, its also the same for girls (but not me because I dont really like that kinda stuff) to hunt around for the infamous shots of the boys showing their 'you-know-what's' through their jeans. Now when we look at those, everyone gets the giggles - even Tom and John.

Dukes was a family show, yup, but also true in the beginning it was a great deal more loose in the terms we're talking about. What I think they hoped to achieve by toning it down was to make it more open to the younger generation to be able to view it without having them exposed to the kind of risque stuff they had during the first season. However, if you took it all out completly, lets be honest, it would have been turned into a kids show. Kids watch it for the charactes, teenagers watch it for the characters but also the fast car, for boys Daisy Duke, and for girls Bo and Luke. It was a bonus that they also learnt about all the family values the show holds along the way. Unfortunatly, in order to reach a target audience, you have to put something that would appeal to them thus Dukes had to have something for everyone.

Now for the wadrobe malfunctions - there are so many to do with the three main characters. The jeans for the boys were incredibly tight - and as Tom said - maybe they didn't have to be quite so tight. And yes, Daisy may have fallen out of her top every so often during the show but that is a long stretch from her purposfully taking it off in the show. Plus, unless you go through and purposly pause the DVD's and zoom in on the image, the malfunction isn't that noticable anyway until 'someone' points it out. I never noticed, and I never noticed the boys malfunctions until someone showed me a picture when I was about 16. That was only two years ago.

So therefore, I can't say it was wrong for TXZ to post this at all, it is a malfunction that they made just as the boy's jeans were an equal malfunction that the girls tend to notice. However, what I do find wrong is the fact he ZOOMED IN to see that?! That I think is wrong, and that is the kind of thing we DO NOT need to know about. What you decide to do with your DVD's is your choice but please do not tell us about your, I have to say, perverted way of finding those malfunctions.

And that's me done. No offence meant to anyone on the board. :-D

Hey Y'all

I agree with what you are saying, Roger, about Jesse defending Daisy's honor. And, this is degrading to all of the girls here. It seems to me that it would make one wonder if that is the only reason people look at them. Not because of their personalities, but becasue they are just being disgusting and totally inappropriate. BoJamesDuke, I agree with you, I also do not like that kind of stuff. Which is why I don't understand why guys would zoom in on Daisy, and girls would zoom in on Bo, Luke, or any of the other male characters on the show.

I don't understand why you would take a family show, and twist it into something like that where you go looking for trouble(the malfunctions.) Yes, certain malfunctions are fun to see, for example, if someone messed up a line, or tripped over something, or even if in a certain shot you can see one of the cameras. But, I draw the line at "wardrobe malfunctions." They simply are not acceptable. Now, I am willing to bet that you'd almost have to be studying the character to pick up on something like that.

One last thing to BoJamesDuke, and that is thank you for stating your opinions in a nice manner. I think you really have a way of getting a point across without coming off as being rude. So, a sincere thanks for that.

I dont consider it 'perverted', more like 'human'. I guess I need to be more like a robot. And for the record, I noticed the 'malfunctions' at full speed, not slow motion. And this is a public forum, so if I choose to 'tell' others what I do with my DVD's, then I will, and I did, and Im not ashamed of it all. The amount of 'respect' I do or dont get around here is of no concern to me. If I am to become, or have been the 'outcast' then so be it, Ill be the member of Hazzard County that lives in the hills and comes to town on occassion.

Its actualy hilarious to see how much some of you are overreacting about next to nothing... pushing your 'personal' belief systems on others in an attempt to change their way of thinking about one particular thing or another.

It is what it is.... paint whatever color you want... it is still human nature and every human is different. I refuse to deny that I am a human being with a right, and will of my own to do and or say, anything/everything I please. If it 'upsets' others... then so be it.... if your offended then maybe you needed to be offended... thats healthy sometimes ya know.

Thanks for all the replies.... afterall, never hurts to stir up some dirt from time to time... if ya didn't wanna read it, ya didnt have too... same goes for anyone else who stumbles apon this forum. If your afraid those ppl who are new to the place will read it... then I guess that means your afraid that humans are visiting this forum instead of robots... although there are google bots and other such spiders and stuff that do roam the net collecting information for search results... so technically speaking both humans and bots are visiting this forum.

Seems some of you are just playing a 'role'/'characters' here on the HazzardNet-Forums. Like an online actor of sorts. Chances are some of those same cats have prolly checked out some of the 'malfunctions' themselves, then got online and continued to play the 'role'/'character' they feel they have to play on here. If I am the bad guy in the mask.... then so be it... I can handle ppl wrongly viewing my online personality that way.... its all good.

It takes one to know one. And if I get falsely dubbed as 'one' then again so be it.

For the record I received numerous personal/private messages here on this forum from other members asking me 'can you send me the screen-shots'. All from different ppl... its not like Im the 'Only' person who is taking notice of the things the show wanted us to notice about Daisy.

Like I think it was in the 'Hazzard Hustle' episode in Season 5 when Vance or Coy told Daisy after she got all dressed up like a old-lady to go into Boss and Roscoe's illegal bookie joint where everyone was betting on horse races and such.... Daisy said "do you think boss will recognize me now?" and Coy or Vance said " I think you covered up all the reasons they know ya for" or something to that effect.... that right there blatantly points out exactly what Im talking about. If I was not meant to 'look' at Daisy's many good features then why is the window open for passers by? Why did she pose for that photo wearing only a thin white shirt, no bra, and with water in all the right places? Why did she take part in the 'Nicole' movie? even if it was a year before the Dukes... LOL! @ people saying she would be 'upset' by people noticing her 'extras' on the Dukes.... sheesh.... get real.

And as for the idea about a LIVE Chat to discuss all of this.... I dont see the point.... especialy if Im expected to change my human brain wave patterns (individual thought patterns) at the end of the chat, thats just plain flat out not going to happen. And I suspect the 'role' players here would refuse to change their 'online' characters 'individual thought patterns' either.

I have not one single problem with agree'ing to 'disagree' on this topic. Thats life... Thanks again for the replies.... keep it tween the ditches and Im gone, over and out.

Well you're right about one thing TXV, we're not going to change each others minds. You're always going to believe that your right to express your perverted opinions is much more important than my right to express myself by pointing it out. I see you had to add more graphic details in your last post. As long as you continue to express yourself, so will I. I'm not sure why you want to be here. Wouldn't your freedom of expression for this type of subject matter be less inhibited if you got on the millions of "adult" websites that the internet offers?

Where did I get more 'graphic' in my last post? If your talking about the white shirt with no bra, and water in all the right places.... then you missed a previous post where that was already mentioned by myself, so technically speaking it would have occurred before my 'last' post and yet, in a 'previous' post. Either way, its not like that language is prohibited around here, and if it is then somebody should be enforcing the 'rules'.

And for the record I dont think my 'right' to express what you falsely refer to as 'perverted opinions' is more 'important' than your right to 'point it out' they are both equaly valuable rights.

And I am here because of the same reason you are here. I am a Life Long Dukes of Hazzard Fan. You can either accept it, or deny it. Tiz of no concern to me.

Have a nice new year good sir.

Hey, sometimes in life you have to agree to disagree. I never said I agreed with either side and it was my opinion that it was slightly perverted to go looking for shots of Daisy with her breasts falling out her top, my opinion no offense meant. I don't mind what you do with your time, I just thought that maybe it was slightly inappropriate to post it on the Catherine Bach section and should have been placed in the Hazzard Swamp area really.

But hey, I respect your decision TX to go looking for these kind of things, if that's what you want to do then hey no problem with me so long as you dont go pushing it in my face. I respect the fact you gave people a choice to look at these things with the link and everything but I only ask that maybe you choose more carefully where to place these kind of topics is all :-) I didn't mean to cause offense or insult and I hope that we can be friends despite all this ruckus. Hazzardnet is supposed to be one big family, and sometimes family do things other members dont like, that's life, that's humanity as you say. So lets shake hands, have a beer and forget this. As Maryanne says, lets move on but together ;-)

What a minute there. Where was anything perverted in this topic? Pointing out some scenes is perverted? Well then it is just as perverted as trying to understand some of opinions expressed on this topic. Please do not compare this to something on "adult" websites. Maybe it would have been better if you didn't refer to TX as perverted or say he has "perverted opinions".

It seems , from what I read, that a select few of you had objections to a post that is over a year old. And it turned in to a semi-religious sermonon morals and values. That is all fine and dandy, but each has there own and do not need to hear it "preached" like it has on this topic.

We are all DOH fans and that is why we are here. I loved what TX wrote a few posts ago.

"Seems some of you are just playing a 'role'/'characters' here on the HazzardNet-Forums. Like an online actor of sorts. Chances are some of those same cats have prolly checked out some of the 'malfunctions' themselves, then got online and continued to play the 'role'/'character' they feel they have to play on here. If I am the bad guy in the mask.... then so be it... I can handle ppl wrongly viewing my online personality that way.... its all good."

I'm gone

Darrell

I hate to tell you this TXZ but our rights aren't equal. When our founding fathers framed the Constitution they did NOT do it so that perverted things can be protected. People like you and certain lawyers have twisted their original intentions so much, we don't know right from wrong anymore. That's because some people want to justify their own immorality and push it on other people, then hide behind what they think is the Constitution. There's a saying that goes "Evil flourishes when good folks do nothing" This website is dedicated to goodness and if the moderators "do nothing" about you, that's their choice. I guess we'll just have to wait and hear from them.
