February 19, 20251 yr I'm not sure if Sanford and Son was ever shown in the UK, although I've watched a couple of episodes online (including 'The Piano Movers' which featured Rick Hurst as a police officer). It's quite different to the original UK show Steptoe and Son on which it's based. One obvious difference is that Steptoe and Son had a horse and cart rather than a pickup truck. Here's a 5-minute documentary about the original.

It fits quite well too don't you think? We gonna watch Sanford and Son. My name Fred Sanford. An' I run this salvage store. We got antiques. Tell me what you're lookin' for.
