If the movie tanks but the fans still want to see the original episodes then there will be DVDs of the other seasons. I doubt that the success of the movie is the end all be all for the DVDs. Do they want to cash in on new fans and have them buy the origianl episodes? Of course. But if they dont get new fans they are still gonna milk as much money out of DOH as they can. I have no problem with an updated version. Updated doesnt have to be bad, but Jessica Simpson is bad, the people they got to play Bo and Luke are bad. Burt Reynolds while a great actors isnt the right choice for Boss Hogg. Better decsions could have been made when casting and from the sounds of it(cooter in a bathrobe worried people are out to get him) some of the ideas they had for the movie just sucks.

Well Jessica Simpson said that those at WB really liked the movie and want to do a sequel. Who knows. But I have to confess nothing I have read so far has made me go... Most of it has been followed closely by

Batman begins June 17th. I found two different release dates. Star Wars comes out in May...what 19th or something like that? Thats more than a month before the rumored June 24th date. So why not start it in July then? Whats the point in waiting till Aug. What's coming out in July. Seeing how I dont know every flippin movie that comes out every week or month. Please enlighten me.

No thats a bunch of crap. That runs along the same vein as "when god closes a a door he opens a window." BS. He closes and locks both the window and door and lets you die a slow painful death. So they were worried about Herbie the Love Bug and decided to change the date of the opening? Thats really freakin sad. If this movie cant stand up against Herbie the movie can't be that good. I mean common. Herbe? Honestly.

If this is true it sucks. The movie got pushed back a month and some change. WTH is the reasons behind that?

Aug 5th is suppose to be the European opening. Anyway, if they did move the date back to Aug that just makes me worry more. The movie isnt done, they are reshooting or fooling around with it somehow. I've seen trailors for movies out in July and even Sept. I dont know why DOH isnt out yet.

Ok, we get it, the above movie was great, is great, you love it and you wanted to do a movie like it. But the more I read its seems like this is Smokey and the Bandit with an orange car.

Interesting. But why is the release date Aug 5th? According to the website (the current release date is August 5th, delayed from the previous June schedule), Is this true? Any word yet? We keep on getting different dates. I orginally thought it was settled, but now eh...... not so sure. I'd like an Enos/Daisy top DVD

Well I sure wouldnt have used teh actors they have now. I mean common. Jessica Simpson....ick. I would have kept willie nelson as Uncle J though. But Burt Reynolds is no boss. I'm thinking more of Danny Devito. That would have been funny. Not sure if I would have went with unknowns or lesser known actors... I dont think I'd ask fanfic writers for inupt. No offense to anyone but there seems to be a whole lot of Mary Sues in DOH fic. I'd be a little worried what people would do to the movie. I would ask the originals for input. Hell, they helped create the property that we know and love. There wouldnt be a lot of pot or other drugs in the movie, as we've heard will be in this movie. There would have to be chemistry between the cousins. Without it the movie would be horrible.

There are a bunch of trucks that jump over a little knoll..I guess is the best way to put it. Then there are these two guys in a car...dust..dusty..or soething like that and the one guy is yelling YEAHHHH!! I saw it last night and forgot to post about it. Seems like its a nod to DOH. Well, that was my take on it. Anyone else see it? Comments?

I think some of the people object to the fact that there is drug use in the movie, not that the actors do it in their spare time. Personally, I dont care what they do in their spare time but to have it on the screen is a totally different story.

I'm so so about Duke of Dukes because Daisy falls for the jerk and teases Enos a little. Daisy: So which part of my friend chicken do you like the best, Enos? My legs, my thights or my...." Enos: NECK! Daisy I really like your neck!!!! love that part and also Daisy takes the cuffs from Enos. So its got its good and its bad points.

Still waiting to see an Enos shot Atleast we are getting some news.

well, they have high hopes for it and if it does well they want a sequel.

It would be suicide to open with fantastic 4. I dont see Bewitched being a big threat though. It can be the weekend of TV shows made into Movies. I hope it coems out in June. I dont want to wait till July or Aug for the movie. And I'm still waiting to see if Enos has a mustache in the movie...man I hope not.
