Justin C got a reaction from Boss JD Hogg in R.I.P. Ben JonesJust heard the sad news, a few hours ago. From my oldest brother, who him, and my other 2 brothers, gave me my nickname years ago. Cooter! Cuz i tinkered with anything car related. From probably 4 years old . From hotwheels to hubcaps and old vehicles. Im 42 now. Nickname means more to me now. As Cooter/Ben Jones, always went out of his way, to help those in need.I live by that rule also.We were raised that way. The RIGHT,and HONEST way. Respect for your elders, treat others the way , you would want to be treated….and be a decent human being……. We did lose a legend. But as the ol sayin goes…legends never die! Say hi to uncle Jesse and the others for me that we lost. Enjoy a peaceful rest Ben Jones. “I might be crazy, but i aint dumb….,Crazy Cooter comin atcha!” Its not goodbye, its so long. We’ll meet again on the other side.

Justin C reacted to Tom Duke in R.I.P. Ben JonesCan’t believe he’s gone y’all.
I heard the news today like many of us, and it hurts so bad.
He was just this loving, kind and gentle soul. The very embodiment of what it means to be a Good Ol Boy.
R.I.P to an absolute legend!

Justin C got a reaction from Skipper Duke in RIP Rick HurstHazzard County will miss you Rick! Forever remembered by your fans. 21 Dixie horn salute to you!!

Justin C reacted to Meadowmufn in RIP Rick HurstI was not expecting a punch to the gut today, but here it is. Rick was such a kind man. Made me feel right at home on the reunion sets. We had some great conversations. He loved to talk about his son. He was always a class act whenever we visited him at events.

Justin C reacted to Webb in RIP Rick HurstVery sad to hear that Rick has passed away. I would have loved to meet him and get an autograph. He was only at Cooter's Place just this past Sunday. Rest in Peace Rick (Cletus) I hope you're with the rest of the Dukes cast that has gone over the rainbow bridge.

Justin C reacted to Tom Duke in RIP Rick HurstI can’t believe it in a sense, but there it is.
Rick Hurst has crossed the creek on that rainbow bridge, now not only reunited with his kinfolk, but also a lot of the Dukes family who’ve gone on before him.
I’m saddened I never got to meet him, I think it would have been fun to know him.
God bless y’all.

Justin C reacted to RogerDuke in RIP Rick HurstI take these things very hard since Dukes have been a big part of my life when they debuted in 1979 and these actors are truly family. I'm grateful for the HazzardNet because you folks can relate to the pain I'm feeling now. My condolences to all of you.
There is a happy reunion in Hazzard Heaven today between Boss, Rosco and Cletus. But there are plenty of tears on Earth for those of us who loved Cletus/Rick.
I just checked the family section in my notebook and there is not a whole lot of his family mentioned, except Boss of course.
He made his first appearance in season 1 where he was called Boss's cousin.
Cletus mentioned his Mama in season 2.
He is called Boss's third cousin twice removed in season 3.
Cletus mentions his Mama again in season 4.

Justin C reacted to Hobie Hartkins in RIP Rick HurstHe also played a security guard on......The Jeffersons ....maybe Good Times( ? ) I think. NO! wait! It was Sanford and Son.....when Fred thought Rollo had stolen Frank Sinatra's ring. He was a hotel guard! He was only 6months younger than my mom! Hard to believe....he had a youthful appearance and demeanor.

Justin C reacted to Meadowmufn in RIP Rick HurstWhen I first met Rick, it was in the 90's, so the WWW was in its infancy. When I told him about HazzardNet's predecessor (the Hazzard County Sheriff's Department on Prodigy), he was excited there was a community of fans online still discussing and enjoying the show. He told me he'd be right back and when he returned, he handed me an enormous folder of 8x10s, several of them signed. That was very generous of him. I still have them packed away from the move, but when I find them (someday), I will scan them in and put them on the site.
When I mentioned where I worked at the time, we had a connection there and he told me some amazing stories. We just had an awesome conversation. He was very personable and gracious. At the Dukesfest in '01, I got to do an impromptu square dance with him and Jimmie. Good times. I would've liked to have gotten to know him better, but my health and work situations over the years didn't permit me to get to events as much as I'd have liked.

Justin C got a reaction from Hobie Hartkins in General Lee Thermos for Sale - Canadian Edition in OrangeThanks! Hobie, glad to meet you. I’m from a small town in southwestern Ontario Canada. Smaller than Hazzard County by far. Hehehe. But nice neighbors, just like Hazzard. We all know each other & help each other. Love small towns.Time runs a lil slower.

Justin C got a reaction from Hobie Hartkins in General Lee Thermos for Sale - Canadian Edition in OrangeMy lunchbox, and thermos, is just the tip of the iceberg. Of my collection. I’ve got a plastic tub full. My older brothers, 8track tape, my collectables, I got as Xmas gifts in 97, reissued DieCast and matchbox type cars. I also have a few originals. My 2 older brothers coloring activity books. N some wrist launch cars. I bought mint, sheets at same thrift store, years ago, for .25 cents. The good ol days, when collector stuff was just stuff. Now prices r crazy. Everybody can look online now n see the value, b4 they buy. Only thing that didn’t survive growing up. Was my brothers Dukes, black plastic wallet. Maybe I’ll find a replacement some day. I’m happy with what I’ve got. Thanks for reading. Take care.

Justin C got a reaction from RogerDuke in General Lee Thermos for Sale - Canadian Edition in OrangeI’ve had my plastic Canadian lunchbox, for over 30 years now. I paid 10 cents at a thrift store, when I was 7. I’m 40 now. Lol. I just purchased that thermos. It’s being shipped, as I speak. I lost out on one, week ago on eBay. I was bummed out. Until, I found that one. Seems like the last one online? Extremely hard to find. Very happy. It cost a lot. But it took me this long to find it. So I think it’s worth while. Now mines complete. Finally! Thank you, have a good day.
