Philip_Duke got a reaction from Skipper Duke in The Number *One* guest who should've sang in the show, but never did.
    And that's Mr. Johnny Cash.
I never looked up if he was in any as I didn't want to spoil myself, but it was disappointing that I had reached the end [of the series] and he never showed up.
But hey, he made a song about the General Lee.

It sure feels like we were cheated out.

While I'm not disagreeing with most of your post, 'The Dukes of Hazzard:Reunion!' was written by Gy Waldron, so he should've known the characters best of all since he created them. The story for 'The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood' was written by Bob Clark, who co-wrote 'Repo Men' in the Georgia-era of season 1. Amongst other things, he also wrote and directed 'Porky's' and 'Porky's II' in the early '80s, so 'Hazzard in Hollywood' could've looked very different!

That makes it all the more confusing. You would think the people involved with it all , would've done a MUCH better job than they did writting and performing the script!

Well, I seen them yesterday and I gotta say it was disappointing and sad, at the same time.

Uncle Jesse sort of felt lost and alone and it just didn't feel rigjt, Roscoe should've retired years ago, and Coy, Vance and Hughie Hogg weren't even included for these reunion flicks.

But the one I missed the most? Boss.

However, I did enjoy Toby Keith's performance and he's probably glad to be part of it.

I didn't like the reunion movies for many reasons but the biggest is what you stated here. There is no way all 3 younger Dukes would have left Jesse alone. They would have called in Coy and Vance at the very least. And there is no way Boss Hogg would die. They should have had him be out of town on business or something. Of course, that would have required a different plot and script. You can tell these reunion shows were written by people who weren't really fans of the show. I doubt they even consulted with any super- fans.

It's possible but I'd bet money  he's not! Also, I have to agree with you....Don Williams was/is more country/authentic than Mac Davis.

About the same I'd guess....both lacked the " Punch" of the  series' episodes!

This is somewhat how I feel. It didn't have the right " Feel" to it, for a final episode.

I finally watched it today and it left me rather unsatisfied, it felt more like "just another episode" than the series final episode. It didn't seem like they cared much for it, like they just wanted to be done with it?

That being said, it's still a good season and I enjoyed seeing Hughie Hogg again on this final/canceled season.

It was probably due to having to add/shed weight or muscle for another role in either a movie or play he was in while not filming Dukes of Hazzard. He was in two tv movies in 1984 which were probably filmed in 1983.

Go West Young Dukes is definitely one of my favorite episodes. I bet it was one of the favorites for the stars to make.

There was although only released in the PAL region (Europe/Australia).

If you use a PS2 Memory Card with FMCB then you can play any game via USB/HDD, regardless of region.

Also, there was a second Knight Rider game, but that felt more like an "add-on."

Here's a look at the PS2 version. I know that Edward Mulhare (Devon Miles) died in 1997 (five years before this games was released), but they don't seem to have licensed any of the original actors to provide voices (unlike the Dukes games).

Unfortunately, there's no Dukes games for it on Wii or GameCube (backwards compatible with Wii).

If you'd want to try a Dukes game without looking too outdated, I'd recommend a PS2 or Xbox. Older Dukes games like on PS1 might turn off folks because of how graphically old it looks.

I plan on playing the PS2 game even though it's probably nothing great. For example, Knight Rider didn't have any solid games either, but the one on PS2 is still a lot of fun.

There have been various on PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox, handhelds and such, but if you've played any which would you recommend?

We'll probably never see a new Dukes game or the series released on Blu-ray because folks nowadays get all offended over the flag that's on top of the General Lee. And if he doesn't have it, he ain't General Lee!

For a kid they'd probably be entertaining but as an adult I didn't enjoy the PlayStation ones, just too easy to beat. And the physics sucked to put it nicely, the cars drove too easy and had way too much grip especially on dirt. The 3d animated cutscenes were the only bright spots of the games.

For those that disliked Coy and Vance, they could look at Season 5 as the shortest one with the boys.

But for any newcomers, I'd suggest watching one episode than skipping right to episode 19.
