As for Joey Logano's gloves I don't see the point of penalizing him as he most likely wasn't the only one wearing them during Daytona 500 qualifying. And the video they released on Twitter is so low quality that you can't tell the difference from a regular glove.

One bad thing about owning a sports sedan is people want to stop light race....a lot , especially when the lanes merge down to 1 lane. Tuesday I almost got ran off the road by one of these clowns. I just got lucky that the light turned green as I was coming up to the light so I just kept going the speed limit but apparently this jerk in a Lincoln wasn't happy and floored his SUV and as I was making my way over in front of him he put it right next to me and since there was oncoming traffic I slammed on the brakes so no one would get hit head on by that idiot. This clown was amused by this when I caught up to him at the next stop light. Really your amused at almost causing a head on collision and running someone else off the road. I was so mad at their selfishness and ignorance but remembered the local road rage shooting that happened a few weeks ago so I let bygones be bygones.

That car is actually a Holden Caprice, long wheel base version of the Commodore/G8. GM imported them as Chevy Caprice's for police departments from 2011-17. Police departments could order 9C1 or 9C3 packages, 9C3 was the detective package with cloth or leather seats instead of plastic rear seat. They came with either the 3.6L V6 or 6.0L V8. The V8 Caprice was the only vehicle to pass all the CHP speed and handling testing. So if you ever find a 9C3 spec Caprice at a police auto auction buy it.

Cup race looks like it's going to go on as scheduled today but Xfinity race has been postponed once again to 9pm after the jet dryers crashed while drying the track off before the race. I get the feeling this is going to be a long NASCAR season of goof ups.

They don't, it's a 2009 model year. Only 35k miles though and it still had the new car smell. I cringed when my mechanic said what Pontiac used to stand for lol.

Been a hot minute since I've checked in. Yeah I'm still alive and kicking. Wife's been having some health issues going on over the summer that we hope will be taken care of soon. The car search is still ongoing, in fact I'm in the middle of "negotiations" on one but they're being hard headed because of the uaw strike even though afaik I'm the only one that has made an offer on it in the 38 days it's sat on their lot so far. I didn't make a low-ball offer either, I offered right in the middle of what KBB says it's worth, they have it priced above KBB. Almost bought one of my dream cars but I passed on it for a few reasons. It was a '09 Pontiac G8 GT, showroom new condition even though it had 75k miles on it. The owner even vacuumed and wiped down the interior after every drive. Was such a beautiful car I couldn't turn it into my daily driver. Plus the owner really didn't want to sell it but has 6 cars. He contacted me the other day asking if I'd be interested in one of his other cars. Work has turned into a depressing place because one person couldn't take a joke. They got a free paid day off while the rest of us got our a**es chewed out. So now all the holiday party's for the rest of the year have been cancelled cuz it all started with someone's birthday party a month ago. All the coworkers agreed no more party's till that person retires, quits or gets fired. It's so quiet there now you can literally hear the bugs skitter across the floor lol. I've been listening to a lot of Dale Earnhardt jr podcasts to kill time while I work now. Speaking of him put out a series on his dad called Becoming Dale Earnhardt about his dad's first season in Winston Cup series, well worth listening to if you're a fan of NASCAR in the late 70's early 80's.
