Uncle Jesse gave Enos a strange look and like Enos wasn't telling him something. " Enos what do you mean by there's more to this accident that meets the eye".Jesse " Well you see the reason that drunk driver hit Luke was because he saw a ghost". Enos " Jesse thanked Enos for letting him know then Jesse and Daisy made it to the hospital. Meanwhile the Ambulance had just arrived at the hospital and was unloading Luke and they wasted no time in getting Luke into the ER even though it was packed Halloween always brought out the crazies and the Hospital was always packed. The doctor on call walked over to Luke's bed and checked him over very well he lifted up " Luke's eyelid and shined the light in hoping to get a response but no so then he put it back down and he told the nurse to write down comatose. Once Luke was all set up and hooked up to a respirator to help with his breathing the doctor figured that he would leave Luke alone for now and go on his rounds. Meanwhile on the other side of town something spooky and scary was going on a ghost was fixing on haunting the Hazzard County Carnival and it was going to be scary. " One down I'll make those dukeboys pay for sure". said vilvia Stonehart. Cue Anyone

Tonight On The Dukes : Luke finds out that he maybe someone's missing child The Dukes was just sitting down to eat a nice Pancake breakfast when Jesse heard a knock on the door so he got up and walked over and answered it. " Are you Jesse Duke ?". the stranger said " Yes I am and you are ?". asked Jesse " My name is Judd I'm Luke's Brother ". said Judd " your uh ... uh .. uh... Luke". said Jesse Luke couldn't believe his eyes he was speechless ". Once Luke got over his shock he told him to come in and he shook his hand. " How can you be my brother I was an only child ". said Luke " before my mom died she told me that I have a brother named Luke". Judd " What was your mom's name ?". said Luke " Her name was Sara ". said Judd " She died in a car accident when I was a baby ". said Judd " Why didn't you come looking for me before ?". said Luke " Well I didn't know anything about you until I read in the newspaper". Judd " I can't believe this you can't just claim your my brother without proof". " If you want to have proof I could show you my birthmark ". said Judd Unfortunetly Luke didn't know what to believe he was really thrown for a loop

Enos tried to be brave as he checked to see if Luke had a pulse he felt one then he checked to see if Luke was breathing he was but it was weak he said a silent prayer that Luke would try to hang on until the ambulance arrives it better hurry. Meanwhile the Dukes was wondering what was taking Luke so long in getting back from picking out the pumpkins Bo was starting to get really worried about his cousin. " Wonder what is taking Luke so long he shouldv'e been back by now ?". said Bo " I don't know boy I sure hope he didn't run into any trouble ". said Jesse The Dukes fear was finally put to rest when Bo heard Enos's voice coming over the CB so he walked on over to it and he picked it up and asked Enos what he wanted. " Hey Bo I got some bad news for ya it seems that Luke has gotton into a wreck." Enos " Oh No how did it happen Enos ?". asked Bo " Some drunk driver ran him off the road he's in real bad shape but he's alive". said Enos " Okay thanks for calling Enos I'll give Daisy and Jesse the message". said Bo 15 minutes later the ambulance had showed up once they got Luke out of the General they had layed him onto the strecher and then wheeled him on over to the ambulance one of the EMT's had noticed that Luke's breathing was a little shallow so he put an Oxygen mask over Luke's nose and mouth and then loaded him into the ambulance. Enos asked one of the EMT's what he thought Luke's condition was the man replied " look's like a possible Head Injury , Concussion , broken ribs, Comatose. As Enos watched the Ambulance head on over to the Hospital he prayed for Luke. Cue Roger Duke

And he also suffered a bad punch in " In This Corner Luke Duke"!!. I don't know really why Luke was always the one who got hurt It did seem like he always was the one who took most of the beatings his most serious injury was in Brotherly Love he almost died in that one thankfully he didn't. You see Luke being the eldest was always looking out for Bo even though they didn't show that on the show that could be one of the reasons that he always ended being the one who got hurt most of the time.

Luke Duke was driving on back to the Hazzard Fairgrounds after having picked up some pumpkins for the Annual Hazzard County Halloween Carnival when a car came out of nowhere and ran Luke off the road he crashed into a telephone poll the General's windshild was cracked , four flat tires, and unfortunately Luke was inside the General out like a light from hitting his head on the windshild and he also had some bruises on his forehead. Enos who just happened to be on patrol that night happened to be driving by when he saw the General on the side of the road so he walked on over and what he saw he couldn't believe his eyes he quickly ran over to his car and he made a call on over to Tri-County Hospital for an ambulance. Cue Anyone

Poor Luke he sure got an awful lot of head injuries his most serious is in Brotherly Love and not to mention he also suffered one in Twin Trouble , Goodbye General Lee. I don't really know why he got hurt alot then again I dead read an interview once when John said that Tom is very accident prone so that could very well be the reason.

Unfortunately Luke's doctor was not too happy with Luke's progress he hated to do this to the Duke family but he was getting the feeling that he may have to put Luke into a rehab center that takes care of people in Luke's case. So he tried doing some research on some places that can take care of Luke and he managed to find one in Atlanta called " Summer Breeze" Rehab Center. and they had a 100 percent recovery rating which would be good for Luke. So after he had written down the name and address of the place he made a call over to the DukeFarm and he asked to speak to Uncle Jesse. " Hey Doc how's my boy doing ?" .asked Jesse " Well Unfortunetely Mr. Duke Luke's condition stiill remains the same". Doc " I've made some calls on over to a rehab center for Luke's care". said Doc " That's a shame I thought Luke would have been doing better by now".Jesse " Well physically he's doing alot better but not mentally ". said Doc " Just do what you think will be best for my boy ". said Jesse

Unfortunetly during the night Luke was resting comfortably but then around 11:00 pm Luke took a turn for the worst his temperature went up then he started going into a seziure and his room button started going off at the nurses station everyone started running down to Luke's room and one of the nurses started freaking out. " Quick page doctor Winston ". said Pam So Luke's doctor who had just finished eating his Tuna sandwitch heard his name over the inercom so he started taking a mad dash Luke's room and when he arrived their he couldn't believe his eyes so he quickly picked up some medication and he said. " Quick give him 33 CC's so the nurse injected something into Luke's IV and he started to relax again and then he fell back to sleep and he pretty much remained the same.

The boys was driving on back from a night out of partying in Atlanta Bo was trying his best to stay awake Luke had zonked out a few hours ago and he was dreaming away while feeling the cool breeze on his face. Then suddenly Luke had started moaning in his sleep so Bo figured he must be dreaming about something so he figured he would leave Luke alone. Little did he know that Luke was dreaming about him and Candy Dix who in his mind felt like the one that got away and he would give anything if he could see Candy one more time so he can tell her how much he loves . About 15 minutes later the boys pulled up to the farm and by time they got home it was still dark out So Bo figured that he would wake Luke up so he gave Luke a few shakes on his shoulder then Luke woke up. " Hey just out of curiousty cuz who was you dreaming about ?". asked Bo " I was dreaming about Candy I guess I 'm regrettting letting her go. " Luke you can't live that way . I know but I can't help but feel bad". Luke "

Well early the next morning Luke's doctor had come into Luke's room check his vitals but he didn't really notice much of a change of Luke's condition he noticed that his temprature and gone up since yesterday and wasn't good. Luke's doctor had put an order in Luke's chart about putting him onto a cooling bed and see if that may help break his fever , wake him up. So as luck would have it Luke was put onto a cooling bed that afternoon and the nurse turned it up to and covered Luke with a blanket so that he wouldn't get cold and then she left the room and prayed that it worked. Meanwhile back at the farm Uncle Jesse was just now pulling into the hospital for his visit and when he walked in he saw Luke's doctor standing at the front desk and so he thought he would ask him about Luke's condition. " Hello Mr. Duke how are you ?". asked Doc " I'm fine doc I was wondrering how my boy was doing ?". asked Jesse The doctor sighed and shook took off his glasses and he gave a look. " Unfortunetly Mr. Duke his fever hasn't broken yet , he's still out cold. doc " He will get better eventually were hoping and neither should you ". doc " Can I see him now or not ?". asked Jesse " Sure you can see him but you will have sign in to get into the ICU." doc So Jesse followed Luke's doctor down to the ICU and department when they got their he told Jesse to sit down in the chair to wait . " Hey Judy Luke Duke's uncle is here to see him ".doc " Oh okay but he's still the same he still wont' wake up ". Judy " anyway if you wanna see him you can he'll have to sign in ". said Judy So Doc signed Jesse in and then he told Jesse to follow him and to Luke. So Jesse followed him when they arrived at Luke's room the old man's heartbroke at the site of his boy hooked up to stuff at first glance Luke looked like he was just asleep but he wouldn't wake up. Jesse said " Luke Luke , come on boy you gotta wake up I can't lose you. " you know Luke I can remember when you was a baby you had terrible colic. " Their was some nights when you couldn't sleep you would cry ". said Jesse Come on Luke you need to wake up I can't take anymore of this ". said Jesse Jesse at first thought he was seeing things but he didn't seem to he noticed that Luke's eyelids was blinking and as Jesse held his boy's hand he could feel Luke's fingers moving some and he started getting his hopes up . " Oh My God that's it Luke wake up , wake up ". said Jesse Jesse couldn't help but tell Doc the good news so he followed Jesse over and he called Luke's name out 3 times and he said " Luke , Luke,Luke. He saw Luke's eyelids moving some and with that doc got a smile on his face because he figured that Luke finally was making some progess and waking up. " Well Mr. Duke it appears that Luke is in a lighter Coma / he still has a fever.

Early the next day Luke's doctor came into his room to check on him. " Good Morning Luke and how are we this morning ?". asked Doc Unfortunetly Dr. Winston didn't receive a reply so he sadly shook his head and he wrote down on Luke's chart still comatose , unresponsive. but he figured while he was here he would check Luke's vitals . " Luke's temp had slightly gone down from yesterday it was now 102 but he wasn't really liking the fact that Luke still had a fever it should have broken. Once that was done he figured he would check Luke's concious state to see if he was awake yet or not so he got out his penlight and he lifted up his left eyelid and he shined the light in hoping to get a response not even a blink. " Well that ain't good well Mr. Luke Duke you are in bad trouble.

Unfortunately the next day at the hospital wasn't that much on account of that Luke was still pretty much unconcious and he was still running a fever the fever unfortunetly is what is keeping him in the Comatose state. Later on that afternoon Luke's doctor had finally figured out what Luke has and it turned out that he unfortunately had developed Aurora fever which is a very bad dangerous virus and if not treated right away the person can die and unfortunately that person happened to be poor Luke. Luke's nurse came into check on him and she was hopeful that he was okay but unfortunately he was still the same which wasn't so good. So she wrote on his chart that Luke was still comatose and not doing good and then she put his chart out on the front door and left the room.

When they arrived at the hosptial Luke was rushed back into the ER and he was hooked up to everything you could name once the docter got to Luke's bed he called Luke's name about 3 times but he didn't get answer. " Unfortunately Luke still remained unconcious and was running a fever". The doctor didn't like the looks of Luke's temp the machine showed that his temp was " 110". so the doctor told his nurse to put some medication IV. So she did what she was told and she put some lquid tynole in his IV.

Jesse and Daisy wasted no time in getting to where the boys was and when Jesse saw Luke laying in Bo's arms this was happening to his poor boy. " Oh Luke .. I'm so sorry boy ". said Jesse How did this happen Bo ?". asked Jesse Me and Luke had gotton into a fight with this guys who we thought had a flat but it turns out that they were just fooling us and then Luke had gotton into a tumble with one of them and he ended up pusing Luke into one of them. " Is that how Luke got this stuff on him ". asked Jesse " Yes sir that's how it happend ". said Bo Fortunately the ambulance didn't waste no time in coming and so one of the attendents walked over to Bo and Jesse and asked him what the problem is. Bo told the man that his cousin was drenched with some type of chemical ?. when the guy asked Bo what the name of the chemical Bo said he didn't know So the guy wrote on his chart unknown and theny they got busy loading Luke into the ambulance and head off to the hospital ".

Seeing as how Jesse was outside feeding the Chickens still he didn't hear Bo seeing as how Daisy was inside peeling the corn for tonights supper picked up. " Bo what's wrong ?". asked Daisy " Well uh me and Luke had come in contact with some bad dudes and uh Luke had gotton into a fight with one of them and he got some chemical spilled on him and it caused Luke to unfortunately pass out ". " Oh No that's terriable okay I'll call an ambulance where are y'all ". said Daisy " Where down here by old Mill rd and Daisy please hurry , tell Uncle Jesse". Bo So Once Daisy got done talking to Bo she quickly hurried outside to tell Jesse. " Uncle Jesse the boys is in trouble Luke got some chemical spilled on him ". " Chemical that ain't good I sure hope it ain't poison, did you call ambulance. " I did but we better hurry and get their sounds like Luke is in trouble ". Jesse If Uncle Jesse didn't hit the nail on the head the stuff Luke was covered with was poision but hopefully help will get their in time before it's too late.

Finally the leader of the group finally climbed out of the truck and walked over to where his buddies was fighting with the boys and told them to knock it off. " finally they stopped fighting but unfortunately Luke was all covered in that stuff but at the time he felt fine but I don't think he'll be feeling okay later. As the boys was making their way back to the car Luke started feeling funny like he was about to pass out but then he started getting this bad headache the last thing Luke saw before he passed out was the General Lee". " Oh my god Luke you okay ..., Luke speak to me ". said Bo But unfortunately Bo didn't get any response so he quickly got on the CB and called on over tot he farm Jesse happened to feeding the chickens.

Tonight On The Dukes : Luke Duke comes down with a bad bug of virus. Ya see the trouble all started when a van carrying a very dangerous chemical then suddenly it passed a hump in the road and caused one of the barrels to leak and unfortunately someone is gonna be very sick unfortunately it'll probably end up being one of the Dukeboys who have a knack for trouble. They were just driving along when suddenly they hit a nail and it was flat tire and they had to pull over and stop little knowing that they were in Hazzard Unfortunately at that same time the boys was just driving by thought they would see if they could help out they looked like they could use some help. " Howdy Y'all need some help". asked Bo " um no were fine why don't y'all get back in your car ". said Carl Unfortunately the boys ended up getting into a fight and unfortunately one of the guys caused Luke to crash into one of the barrles and he ended up getting some of that stuff on his clothes and his pants.

Unfortunately the Dukes luck was still about the same even though Luke was making some improvements most of his bruises was gone and he was healing pretty good physically but mentally that was a totally different story. Anyway Luke was still about the same laying in bed out cold even though every now and then his eyelids would move but he wouldn't wake up. Anyway Luke's nurse was in the room at the moment about ready to check on Luke to see if he was awake yet so she walked on over to the bed and got out her penlight and was getting ready to exam Luke's reflexes. " Mr Luke Duke are we awake yet ?". asked Nurse Pammy But as luck would have it Luke was not awake yet unfortunetly so she put it back down and sadly wrote on his chart still comatose. Unfortunately the longer Luke stays unconcious the more chances he stands of being a vegetable but in his case I hope it won't happen. Meanwhile out in the hallway Luke's doctor was now making his rounds when he thought he would stop by Luke's room and see how he's doing. " How's are patient doing nurse ?". asked Dr. ChestNutt " unfortunately he still remains in a Comatose state ". said nurse " if he doesn't wake up soon he could be a vegatable ". said Doc

As weeks went by Luke still remained in coma even though all the tests the doc ran were coming back normal for brain activity but unfortunately he can still end up a vegatable anyway Luke's nurse was just now on her way into Luke's room to check him out. " Good Morning Luke how are we this morning ?". said nurse Pammy So she got out her penlight and lifted up Luke's left eyelid and shined the light in but unfortunetly she didn't get a response and so then she put it back down. So she wrote on his chart and then she checked Luke's IV it was a little low so she figured she would put up a new one then and then go report to the doctor. Meanwhile at the old abandoned Coffin Works two bad dudes was up to no good. " Charlie this job has been easier then taken candy from a baby ". said Sam " You got that right partner seeing as them Dukeboys can't ruin our plans now ". Charlie " That one you hit with the car probably is feeling pretty rotton ". said Sam " he's probably out colder then a dead Salmon and none the wiser (evil laugh)". Charlie Cue SissyDuke01

As Jesse was driving on back to the farm he tried to keep good thoughts about Luke but unfortunately he couldn't shake this bad feeling that he had. Meanwhile back at the farm.................................................................. Daisy was just finishing up washing the dinner dishes when she heard some footsteps on the frontporch and saw Uncle Jesse walk in looking pretty sad. " Uncle Jesse I've been worried sick how is he ?". asked Daisy Jesse fixed himself a cup of coffee before he answered Daisy he was hoping that it would help calm his nerves then he took a couple sighs. Once the dishes was done and put away Daisy sat down with him and she asked him once again how Luke is and Jesse didn't quite know what to say. " Well we just have to hope for the best baby ". said Jesse " But how bad is he ?". asked Daisy " He slipped into a coma baby ". Jesse said " No ... No... not Luke please ". said Daisy Jesse stood up from the chair and he gave Daisy a big hug and she let out a few heart wrenching sobs and she just couldn't believe this was happening. Meanwhile in the boys bedroom Bo couldn't help but feel a little strange sleeping all by himself in their bedroom and he couldn't help but look over at Luke's side of the bedroom and wish that his cousin was here. Meanwhile at the hospital Luke was still about the same one of his night nurses was coming into check on him and so she got out her penlight and she lifted up his left eyelid hoping to get a response. " Mr. Luke Duke are we awake yet ?". asked nurse EllyMae so when she shined the light in she didn't get any response so she then wrote on his chart still comatose and nonresponsive which wasn't good unfortunately the longer Luke stayed out the longer his recovery will be. Early the next morning the Dukes arrived at the hospital to visit Luke and his doctor was standing by the nurses station looking over Luke's chart and he didn't like what he saw Luke should have been awake by now. " How's my boy doc ?". asked Jesse " Let's go into my office so we can talk privately ". said Doc So the Dukes went into the doctors office and he sat Luke's folder down then he began to explain to the Dukes that Luke is recovering well physically but mentally is another story on account of he stiill ain't shown any signs of waking up from the coma and his concerned that Luke maybe a vegetable. " No that ain't possible Luke can't be a vegetable ". said Bo " Bo I think what the doc is saying is that Luke ain't good ". said Jesse " I can keep Luke here for another week but he may have to go to a rehab. " What no way you can't put Luke in a place like that ". said Bo " Doc can we think about it and then get back to you ". asked Jesse " Yes you may but as far as I can tell Luke is still same ". said Doc " he still stands a chance of waking up ?". asked Bo " Yes he does I just want you to be aware that he may not ". said doc.

" Oh No is he alright did you stop them ?". asked Jessie " Yes sir we managed to get Luke stable but sadly he is still comatose ". doc "Do you suppose Luke will ever wake up or will he be a vegetable ?". Jesse "it's hard to say you see Luke suffered a bad blow to the head and at the moment he ain't been showing any signs of coming out of the coma only time will tell if he comes out of it but right now it doesn't look good. " Say doc can I see him one more time before I leave ?". said Jesse " yes you can but not for too long cause visting hours are almost over".doc So Jesse made his way into Luke's room before he opened Luke's door he caught a site of him he couldn't hide the fact that his heart was breaking at the site of his boy hooked up to heart monitor , ventilator. Jesse coaxed , pleaded , and begged Luke to open his eyes nothing worked " Luke , Luke , it's your uncle Jesse boy .. c'mon open your eyes ". said Jesse but unfortunately the only sound Jesse heard was the ventilator. " unfortunately O'l Luke's luck wasn't running too good ".

Meanwhile back at the hospital Luke was still about the same dead to the world. Jesse was getting ready to go visit Luke one more time before he leaves for the night but unfortunately Luke's doctor was coming out of Luke's room he doesn't look happy. Mr. Duke I have some bad news unfortunately Luke started going into seziures.
