Elly May Duke

Well this is me probably acting stupid considering the seriousnes here, but if y'all would pray for me to do good on a test Friday I'd appreciate it. I am taking a computer course this year (my senior hs year) and if I pass these three tests then I get CIW certification which is like a web master sort of thing. So I'd preciate it.

The younger ones looked on confused, but said nothing. When they got there Jake went inside, but Lily, who stayed in the truck got on his CB "Blue Boy? Bo Peep? You out there?" she asked frantically.

"I just can't! Besides that will be the prime place for a Hogg to see us!" Jake growled at her slightly "I don't care! Somebody who can help us has to be there and most likely a Davenport."

"No Jake, it's not!" she sobbed "I promised Mama years ago I would NEVER let anything happen to my brothers and sisters and look what happend." Jake bit his bottom lip "Look, let's get to the Boar's Nest and- -" "NO!" Lily cried "Not there! Anywhere but."

She nodded and rushed to grab the hands of the terrified ones on the porch. She carried Andrew herself. Mama, I let you and daddy down big time she told herself as the last of them got into the truck and Jake drove them away.

But Lily wouldn't go "Jake I can't leave my brothers and sisters." she begged.

Jason glared at him angrily, attempting to stand all the while "You'll be sorry! Jake Outlaw you will be sorry!" Jason screamed. Jake kicked him in the nose.

Jake tried to lay a hand on her arm, but was too late. Lily jumped at Jason in attempt to avenge him for what he'd said.

Jason took a few steps forward making Lily more nervous "NOTHING!!!?" he screeched "My granddaddy could've ruled Hazzard, but no. Your stupid parents had to stop him." Lily gave Jason a glare.

Jason gave her a look "What do you think Duke? I mean I got a gun i- Why should I even have to tell you? I want you Dukes dead!"

He looked at her "Well you ought to know. . .I'm Hughie Hogg's son."

Just then the Hogg jumped out from the bushes, gun in hand, scaring them both and the younger ones. He said not a thing, but the look of murder was unmistakeable in his eyes.

Jake drove Lily home from school, which wasn't unusual, nor was the two of them enjoying themselves for the afternoon waiting for the bus, but it all changed when the others were dropped off. Someone had been hiding in the bushes just waiting with a gun. His last name was Hogg and he had no intention of letting Jake woo Lily any longer.

Their lives went on somewhat as normaly. Daisy, although she knew Jake Outlaw seemed a good boy was still worried, but little did she know that he would save Lily and her brothers' and sisters' lives.

Lily just shook her head. For the most part Lily and Daisy's recoveries went well, but fact that they had been released did nothing to reduce Daisy's worry over her family or Enos' worry for Daisy.

"What's so funny?" Lily wanted to know.

Daisy took the words right outta my mouth. I LOVE Enos as well as DaisyXEnos and I am of course a hopeless romantic myself.

Lily shrugged "You say so mama."

Lily gave a thoughtful look "What can I pursuade you of?"

Lily nodded "I mean something else. Like how dad's talent is what his is."

I'm praying too. If you ask my mom she will tell you that I'm proof that prayer works. 18 years on this earth for a girl who docs said wouldn't live ten DAYS

(LOL yeah I got confused for a second) Lily looked to her mother "Do you know mama?"

Daisy smiled it sure is she thought to herself. Somehow Enos had often been the only one who could calm her. "Do I have a gift daddy?" Kristen asked.

Lily looked over slightly satisfied "Daddy, how on earth do you calm mama like that?" she asked.

Enos nodded "I have never gotten that out of my head "it's a memory that plays all the time to me and. . .Dais. . .we're more blessed than either of us will ever realize."
