Enos hugged her close, kissing the top of her hair lightly "I know honey. You do all that you can. I wish you could take the blame off yourself."

Soon Lily was in bed after Daisy had taken special care to wash the blood off and fix her up. "So what happend?" she asked Enos. He swallowed "Well take a guess" Daisy swallowed "That Hogg kid isn't it?" Enos nodded "I swear I'll kill him, but yes Daisy." Daisy cried for she had no clue how she would take care of her family.

Enos looked into her eyes and sighed "Let's get Lily into bed first."

Daisy nodded, but the tears were far from gone. "I'd really hate to tell you how it happend." Enos whispered. Daisy looked to him, fear ever evident in her eyes.

Daisy tried to swallow back her tears, but couldn't. Her daughter stood there coverd in blood.

When they did Daisy gasped looking at the way Lily looked, Enos gave her a sad look. "Is that?" Daisy asked not even wanting to say what she thought.

Elly just tried to comfort Daisy while the two waited for what seemed to be forever.

Elly sat down beside her"Don't worry. Cooter will find her." she said handing Daisy a cup of the evening coffee Cooter had made.

Cooter nodded and climbed into the truck as Elly rushed to comfort Daisy who was beside herself.

"Enos please let me go with you." Cooter half begged "I think you'll need my help to reason with her."

Elly nodded "I see." she simply said as both of them had seen Lily earlier and knew she had to be what he was looking for.

Enos made his way to the squad car and after getting close to town slowly drove his way to Cooter's Garage. He smiled ever so slightly when he saw Elly outside with Cooter.

Enos gave her a look of symphathy "Daisy, you stay here with the others. . .I think I've got to do this myself."

Enos nodded, holding her head to his shoulder "I know you do honey. . .I know. Now I gotta try and help that girl."

Enos took a sharp intake realizing what he'd just done and walked over to hold her close "I'm sorry honey." he whispered "I didn't mean to do that, I'm just on edge 'cause I'm so worried about everything lately." However, Lily, who admittedly like her parents hadn't had the best night had seen the whole thing and rushed in "Daddy! How could you!" she cried. "I'd be willing to bet that Uncle Cooter wouldn't ever do that!" she cried, tears streaming down her face as she rushed off to her Uncle's. Daisy just leaned into Enos and cried harder.

Finally Enos had enough "Daisy, something is bothering you and don't tell me it isn't. Tell me right now what is bugging you."

Daisy sighed and continued with making breakfast while Enos watched her as he sipped a cup of buttermilk.

Daisy looked at him confused "I am? Enos, you have got to stop worrying about me so much."

Soon the two were asleep, but Daisy especially, had trouble all night as she tossed and turned. Finally at six she woke up and went to start breakfast.

So the two of them headed on, but as soon as Daisy climbed in beside Enos, she burried her head in his shoulder crying.

Daisy could only sigh. "Say Dais, why don't you and I head on to bed ourselves? I can tell you're worn out honey." Enos said patting her shoulder.

Daisy went and sat down beside Enos on the couch "Oh boy Enos." she sighed leaning her head on his shoulder.

"You wanna just go on to bed?" Daisy asked, hoping it would make Lily feel better.

Daisy nodded and the two of them just sat silently for a bit, Lily with her head agains Daisy's shoulder.

Enos smiled hugging her close "I know baby, I know. I also have this feeling that Jake has no intention of hurting you."
