  1. Me either. Reckon i'll come up with one.
  2. Granny: Moonshine honey . . .you ought to know what that is. Luke: We do our Uncle Used to make it all the time but we never drank it before Daisy: I don't care, just do something Luke. Bo's over here like he's dying
  3. agreed. the only thing that i ever got into other than country was this one CD my mom got me once from a christian rock, it's okay and i kind of like it but not to say like casually that i like it. i have had people tell me before that i'm wrong and rock and rap and stuff does have a message, but here's my thought if they do then why do they write it so you can't understand one word? and from the little that i've at least been told (mostly overhearing kids in school) what message does like killing a police man or cutting your mama's head off have and yes i have actually heard these actual topics. . .scary beyond belief
  4. I think so. i will say it makes me sad that around here and almost everywhere there is no such thing as a small town anymore but around here they have started building more railrad tracks and to me that says country kinda like the mountains or atleast the way things used to be. used to be a railroad track through the middle of our town . . .it gone but there's still an old box car
  5. Granny: here honey *hands Bo her jug* just a little sip now Jed: Granny
  6. I know i mean correct me if i'm wrong but if any like say rapers or hip hop or even rock to say . . .if they put emotion into it i don't see it. country i can it is there. i mean like to say in my opinion Bluegrass is the truest form of music there is. purely on emotion and life and stuff. country is slightly moving away from that but even so 95 or more percent from life and stuff
  7. Odd. My grandaddy had four brothers and two sisters my grandma was an only child My dad had one brother who has one daughter My mom had a sister who died in a train accident and a brother who has two sons
  8. Bo: *breathes hard* I'm trying Daisy *squeezes her hand* It hurts too much Daisy: Ouch! Luke do something
  9. took the words from my mouth. absolutely the truth. i mean even my friend who is well not really my friend now he moved but he says he likes country . . .Racal Flatts and mostly girls . . .hates Alan Jackson and can't even give me a reason . . .and Charlie Daniels because he can't play his fiddle right. He plays fiddle rather orchestra fiddle (or if ya a high class person violin) and he told me the same thing like three or four times and everytime i tell him no it not and then basically what you said country is all about life . . .so well. how many other types of music do you know that follow that? i don't. why i love country
  10. lol we need a new topic here . . .you got any?
  11. this is weired cause Lee Otis was on my dad's side too. lol on my moms side all i ever knew is my grandma and grandpa. my great Uncles and my Grandma's ma. i have a lot more family on my dad's side that are still alive and that i know
  12. Bo: Luke *winces in pain* my head hurts so bad
  13. Yeah. i mean . . .don't know bout you tho Va is north to you but . . .okay here's wher it starts i had a teach in 9 grade who was from NY and he was such a bad teacher. He thought we were all lazy and not real smart. and get this he doesn't understand why we would eat sweet potatoes? the whole class stared at him. and he thinks country is stupid. i mean correct me if i'm wrong but country is not all truck broke down dog ran away girl friend blah blah blah. So well i not sayin i'm gonna be mean to them but i do have a certain feeling toward the north now . . .they don't know what southern hospitality is . . .tsk tsk
  14. Yeah i think we learn it almost every year . . .more or less, but anyhow. still doesn't change the fact how weird the mason dixon line is weird
  15. me too. i can be purdy stubborn too. especially when it comes to old southrn ways
  16. Yeah course i never knew him. when my brother was born all five generations of my family was alive and well when i was born let's just say that to current there are like three generations (i think) anyhow. a lot of them that i never knew
  17. Jed: i see. Well i reckon you might only have a vauge understanding of this but i lost the love of my life not but two days after Elly was born. I miss her everyday and Elly bein a xact image of her ma doesn't make it any easier. Daisy: Yeah. i see. Lost my parents when i was only six. Elly's lucky she still has you. all three of us lost our parents when we were young. We were raised by our Uncle Jesse. Tho what does this have to do with me and Enos?
  18. me either. when i was little and they used to tell us bout Civil War in history i would come home all the time and i was like how on earth is Va in the south. i mean if you look at the map from like TN to at least half the country there is a line there like trace it and Va is perfectly on top of it. but anyhow i'm glad Va is part of the south even if i still think it's odd
  19. Well i could agree. my hair may only have a tint of red but i will tell ya i am fiery but sweet. course that's only when you walk on the fightin side of me lol
  20. Luke: What? Jed: Jethro! I reckon you ought to let her alone. Elly: So Daisy tell me what ya goin through. I don't care none bout boys but then seems to me you really like this Enos. Granny: Yeah honey. Let it out. Don't want to see ya sad like
  21. Cool. I've only been outside of Va once in my life when me my mom dad and brother went to Disneyland and drove from Va to NC to SC to Ga and finally to Fl. don't remember it well, but wish i did. i know Va is the south but sometimes it doesn't feel it to me. i mean i have no idea who made the mason dixon line but what whas he thinkin?
  22. Jed: Don't worry . . . uh Daisy: Daisy Jed: Daisy. I reckon yer cousin'll be fine. Daisy: *wipes eyes* maybe Mr. Clampett, but . . .I don't know. i hate acting this way. i'm really not this weak. Jethro: Oh come on baby Luke*gives him a look*
  23. wow. i mean that is interesting. i don't see why you'd want to dye that. just me i guess but i think red hair is so pretty
