Lily: *cries* Enos: What you mean we ain't acting like friends?

Daisy: Of course I do! Just that your Granny has done so much for me already. (For a little bit I'll be a little slow posting because I have a few chores to do)

Just then the boys drive up in the General and walk toward them. Luke: What's got you two so down?

Daisy: Enos! Your Granny is just too much *shakes her head*

They both stared at Daisy who had brought Lily with her.

Daisy: Oh Enos. . .Your Granny made us these? *daisy lifts out a couple of dresses*

Elly: me too. . .face it we're both in the same boat and don't know how we'll get out of it. . .well what you reckon we can do about Enos and Daisy's date Friday?

Cooter: Yeah, but I'm bad luck Enos and you know it. (Don't know bout you but Daisy better get in there and help them)

Elly: Don't worry. . .you and me. . .we'll get over our men problems. . .someday.

Enos: Open it. . .somethin for you and Macy.

Cooter: Whatever Enos. . .Really, I think Elly'd be better off without me.

Enos: *hands Daisy something* I reckon you're tired of getting presents by now, but. . .I just want you to know how much I care. . .I really do Dasiy.

(poor boys. . .havin themselves a pity fest) Cooter: I know. . .and now. . .I just wish. . .I could do something for this little baby. . .There's nothing I can do. . .well there is, but she'll still be the way she is. . .I can't handle it (like a second cousin of mine. . .she was actually born with no foot, but they made her one and she's fine. . .I think. . .well we'll have to see about Mary. . .something tells me it's gonna be different)

Elly: But still . . .I wouldn't if I were one of the other girls. . .I love Bo and Luke to death, but well.

Cooter: I could tell when I first saw her. . .those innocent blue eyes and sweet face. . .She's a heap more perfect than I could ever be.

Elly: I mean one not related to them. . .a non-duke girl. . .sorry I was daydreaming.

Enos: *Smiles* Hey Daisy. . .how you and my little neice?

Cooter: I know that. . .I'm just saying that the thought of it terrified me. . .Elly's loved me more than Anyone. . .maybe even Nancy's mama.
