Meadowmufn reacted to Mark B / Scooter Davenport in Fan of the Month for August 2015
Wow- this is pretty special! Hazzardnet has always been welcoming place, but this is over the top; I am honored.
There's really only one word fits: YEEHAW!!!
I've always felt like I get more out of coming here than I contribute, so its an unexpected pleasure to know folks are enjoying what I've posted. My first hope is that I can inspire others to try something creative themselves, even (or especially) if you don't think you can do it! And when you do, share it; you don't know who you'll inspire next!
And thank you to whatever sneaky Hazzard-ite nominated me!

Meadowmufn got a reaction from Hobie Hartkins in Rearranging & Cleaning Up The Forums
Just an FYI, I'm in the process of moving inactive forums to Hogg's Heavenly Acres, a read-only section where old forums will be preserved, but can't be replied to. If a forum ends up there and there's a thread in it that you think is worthy of reviving, let me know and I'll move it to another appropriate active forum.

Meadowmufn reacted to BerlinDuke in Duke-Fan from Berlin-Germany!
Hello,
i'm Rico from Berlin, the Capital of Germany.
I like the Dukes since i was a little Boy. We saw the show first in 1986 in german TV.
It was great.
In Germany i have not seen a real General Lee till now, but next Suturday, 2015/08/02 i drive to Zandvoort in the Netherlands. There is the Euro Dukesfest 2015 with a lot of Generals and Hazzard-Police-Cars. A dram will come true.
If You are in Europe come to Zandvoort too. It will be great.

Meadowmufn reacted to RogerDuke in Arrest Meadowmufn again!
Gotta admit I made the same mistake when I first rolled into town.
After spending a few days in solitary confinement I never made that mistake again.

Meadowmufn reacted to GeneralLee440 in Newbie from Southern Illinois
Hi y'all, Im from Southern Illinois and I have been a fan of the Dukes for as long as I can remember. As everyone I have always wanted a General Lee, its my dream car. Im already a Mopar guy but have always wanted a 69 or 70 Charger, well after over 20 years my patience paid off. Im a proud owner of a 70 Dodge Charger and I plan on turning it into the General Lee. I picked it up in Oklahoma City last weekend.
Here is my project

Meadowmufn reacted to RogerDuke in Bubba Watson to Replace the Flag on LEE1 with the American Flag
If he thinks he's going to take the flag off to make everybody happy he's sadly mistaken.
I know I'm not happy.
If he replaces it with the American flag he's going to offend a lot of people with anti-American feelings. He must be a hateful person if he doesn't consider their feelings.
Pardon my sarcasm but this is what we're degenerating into.

Meadowmufn reacted to HossC in Ray Kohn's Dukes Show
The Drag 'N' Fly contest was in 'Goodbye, General Lee' in season 4.
Here's a poster for the event that Roger mentioned:

Meadowmufn got a reaction from Roth Potter in James Best Has Passed Away
He and Burt were good friends. I think Burt even attended his acting school. He told Jimmie back in the 70's that in a few years he'd be a household name and he was right.

Meadowmufn reacted to RogerDuke in Forum Migration
When I'm on the HazzardNet money doesn't flow out of my computer like it's a one armed bandit. Is this a technical glitch?

Meadowmufn got a reaction from Lucas_Duke95 in Rosco actually really cares about the Duke Boys.
Oh yes. As he says, it wasn't personal. He really enjoyed the chase. It was a game to him and to the boys too.

Meadowmufn got a reaction from Lucas_Duke95 in BO or LUKE
Of the choices, I think I liked Luke the best. He was the brains. I always seem to go for the brains.

Meadowmufn got a reaction from Lucas_Duke95 in Howdy good folks!
I didn't care for either movie, but if I had to pick, I'd say the 2007 movie was better.
Welcome aboard, Lucas_Duke95!

Meadowmufn reacted to HossC in Hazzard Square
Whilst working on my recent Fan Art project, Buildings of Hazzard, I realised how many changes take place to the stores and other buildings around Hazzard Square. I thought we could have some fun recording the changes.
Most of us know that after the Georgia episodes Hazzard Square relocated to the back lot at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank. Below are 2 different views of the square as it is now. I have numbered the buildings for reference purposes. As you can see, the square hasn't changed that much, notable exceptions are: building 10 has been re-clad; buildings 16, 22, 23, 24 and 25 are totally different and have been rebuilt since Dukes.

http://i809.photobucket.com/albums/zz19/HossC_2010/HazzardSquare2.jpg
The following buildings stay the same in virtually every episode:
3. Bank of Hazzard (Boss's Bank)
4. Barber Shop
7. Drug Store, Ice Cream Parlor & Bus Stop
11. Hazzard County US Post Office
13. Hotel
18. Hazzard County Gospel Church
20. Boss Hogg's House
22. Cooter's Garage (now rebuilt as a house)
23. Rhuebottom's General Store (now rebuilt as a house)
24. O'Connor Paint Supply (no longer there)
32. Hazzard County Court House
33. Hazzard Police Station
Others only change a few times, but are usually one of the following:
8. Theater/Hazzard Theater/Hazzard Picture Palace
9. Hazzard County Telephone Company/Hazzard County Telephone and Telegraph Co.
10. Seth M. Berley & Co./Furniture Mart/Hazzard Emporium/J.D. Hogg Furniture Mart
12. Joe's Hardware/Hazzard Hardware & Sporting Goods
I have many more to add, and screengrabs to illustrate the changes, but my list in nowhere near complete so please feel free to jump in and add any other businesses you spot. If a business only appears briefly (one or two episodes) please try to give the episode(s) you see it in (and a screengrab if you have that ability). If you are not sure where the business is, give as much information as you can and I'm sure, between us, we can identify it.

Meadowmufn got a reaction from Sheriff_Rosco_P_Coltrane in Trivia Night Disruptions Will Not Be Tolerated
Sheriff, no one "tattled". I saw it all in black and white myself. And it has become a pattern of disruption, not just one night. This is just the latest incident.
I have resolved issues between the folks involved with trivia night disruption and other members before. I defended them even though they weren't completely innocent in everything themselves. I would hope that they'd have some respect for me and the other moderators here and behave themselves and show respect towards the other HazzardNet members, not just during trivia nights, but always.

Meadowmufn reacted to Laura Duke in tom caught with weed?
Hey Everyone!
Wow! Everyone certainly has a lot to say about this. As, I can definately understand.
Here's my viewpoint: It doesn't matter how many grams someone has, it is still wrong. I'm not judging him, I'm just trying to say that I don't know if I would try to make a wrong less of a deal based on how many grams he had. You can slam someone's finger in the door, or you can still slam there whole hand in the door-you still did wrong and they are still going to be in pain. Okay, maybe that was a weird example, but hopefully you can understand what I'm trying to say.
I think it's neat how everyone can have a different viewpoint and everyone, for the most part, is so understanding. Keep it up!
I am disapointed in Tom for doing this, he shouldn't have done it. I would be just as upset if he was in my family. I don't think excuses should be made. But, if he is going through a tough time in his life, the press is kind of making things harder. But, that is the life you lead when you become famous, and the press is only doing there job.
Have a great day everyone!

Meadowmufn reacted to RogerDuke in Dukes Reality Show
For a long time now I've tried to convince my family and friends that the Dukes of Hazzard is not a ficticious television show with actors. It's reality. There really is a Hazzard County and all them folks you see on it were just being themselves while they were being filmed....just like on modern reality shows.
After all these years I finally heard a quote that proves it.
(I've heard this quote before but I guess it didn't sink in)
It comes from Luke and it's when a Hollywood producer was trying to get the Dukes to come to California to be in a film.
Luke's response was "Well, that's real flattering of y'all but we ain't done no acting."
See, there it is....proof that the Dukes are real. But don't take my word for it. Go to "The Dukes in Hollywood" to hear it for yourself. It can be found in the season 7 DVD of our favorite reality show.

Meadowmufn reacted to RogerDuke in Holy General Lee! Batman At Dukesfest!
John Schneider once said that the show would have succeeded if the General would have been a Gremlin instead of a Charger and I think he's right. I agree with Brian and Meadowmuffin that the people come first. When I met TimDuke recently at a car show, I would have still gone even if there wasn't a single car there (except the one that I needed to get there). I went there to meet Tim, Daney, DaisyMae and most of all Sheriff Rosco P Coltrane. There was one General there and one sheriff's car too but seeing those vehicles didn't nearly give me as big of thrill as meeting an awesome Dukes fan like Tim.
Every Dukes fan loves the General though and every Dukes fan admires and respects anyone who has gone through all the work and expense to get one. It takes true love and dedication to the Dukes to do something like that and us fans who don't own Generals are insanely jealous of people like Tim.
We are all a family here so it hurts me to see people I care about arguing but on the other hand a good debate can be healthy on occasion and it can make us all stronger.
This kinda reminds me of Army soldiers and Marines arguing over which is the better branch of the service. Sometimes those debates can be fun but the bottom line is that they are all there for the same purpose of serving our country and should never let their differences get in the way of that bigger mission. (even though everbody knows that Marines are better)
I was really enjoying the Batman vs Dukes thing and if I could make a humble request, let's nudge this debate back to that instead. What do you say Tim old buddy, sound like a plan? I'm gone.
