"Promise." David says.

"Of course we want you here Daisy we're just worried about the baby. And we're concerned you're not as worried about the baby as you should be." David says.

"I was in your position once. I blamed myself for a friend ending up in a coma. He was unconscious for two months. When he woke up he yelled at for two hours straight. He didn't blame me something I couldn't control. I raised my daughter the same way. She's not gonna blame you." David said.

"You know no one blames you." David says softly.

Wowzers. You're one amazing gal and it's been great writing with you. I hope you continue to stick around.

"What happened to him?" Tom asked. Then David came in and explained what was going on. Tom slipped out the door with an apologetic look at Daisy then found Cooter. He drug him up out of his seat and delivered a hard punch to his eye. "That is my kid sister in there and the minute she wakes up she will be asking for Bo Duke. You had no right at all to be angry with or say what you said to him. Fix it. Or you know what will happen." Then Tom went back inside Lizzy's room.

"Where's Bo?" Tom asked coming into the room.

Lizzy just sighed.

"No, you should go. I think she'd like that." Luke said.

"We can try." Luke says.

"So we talk to her? It's that simple?" Luke asks.

"If you talk to her she seems to be getting better. It's like she's understanding what's going on and she's trying to respond but it's not enough to classify as consciousness." The doctor said. They heard a soft whimper and the doctor nodded. "See what I mean?"

"Is she awake?" David asked. "No, but we discovered something." The doctor says.

"Mr. Jackson, Mr. Davenport I need the two of you to come with me." The doctor says.

"Does she know?" David asks.

"My baby's pregnant?" David asked softly.

"Bull. I've know you since we were kids. Our little girl is in there possibly dying and you won't tell me what's wrong. Don't make me ask you again." Lizzy's step-father said.

"Cooter what's wrong?" David asked coming back from getting some coffee.

"I hope you're right Daisy. I lost her once I can't do it again." Cooter says. Even Luke could hear the desperation in the man's voice.

"I so wish I could be angry with him. God I wish it so bad but that means she'll be unhappy with me. And as bad I wish I could push you all away I don't think I can." Cooter says hanging his head.

"Daisy that idiotic cousin of yours got my daughter pregnant." Cooter says.

"He says her mind is protecting her from something." Cooter says then drags Bo aside. After speaking harshly but very quietly Bo walks out of the hospital and Cooter takes a seat.

The doctor comes out and talks to Cooter before leaving the hallway.

"Daisy...It's not your fault. There was nothing you could do to prevent this. She's not going to hate you." Cooter says.

"This isn't your fault Daisy. You had no way of knowing they were gonna grab you while y'all were in Texas." Cooter says.
