  11. "Yeah Marci's quite influential when she wants to be. She's made sure that you're not connected with David in anyway. Daisy I'm not sure after this wedding if I want to come back to Cali." Lizzy says. "You know it's your decision honey and Bo will support you no matter what. Just don't leave the decidin' to late." Daisy says. Lizzy nods and things go on like normal. But soon one month turns into two, two into three, three into four and soon its four months after she's supposed to be married and six months after Bo's proposed. Belle brings it up occasionally but Bo's never pushed the issue. Soon Lizzy finds herself being shuttled to Ted in the Evening talk show. She looks down at her left hand and sighs seeing it bare. Lizzy wasn't quite sure what prolonged her from getting married just that she couldn't bring herself to do it. After a bit of hair and make-up she wanders to the staging area and watches Ted talk to another star. Finally the show goes to a commercial break and Lizzy makes a strong decision. She pulls her engagement ring out of her pocket and slips it on smiling at the fit. Then finally Ted introduces her and she walks out waving to the studio audience. "Welcome have a seat." Ted says shaking her hand. Lizzy sits and smiles. "It's nice to be here. I've been a big fan of your show since I was younger." "I'm becoming a fan of your work. So tell us Lizzy is what they say true?" Ted asks with a smile. "It depends what it is they're saying." Lizzy smirks. "They say that you're only 23 and you've been acting since you were...16?" "17, I grew up in small town Georgia and one day I got into a fight with my father. He said some stupid stuff and so did I and I left. I didn't want to make the decision he wanted me to so I came out here to try my luck. It worked." Lizzy answers smiling. "So let's talk a little about this small town. What's it called?" "I can't tell you that, just that it's really small. So small I doubt you'll find it on a map." "What's the population down there?" "My county really is a place of mystery. Most county entry signs have the population on them. Ours is unknown. The reason they gave is because we won't let them count us. It's true really we don't take too kindly to the federal government stepping in where they shouldn't." "Now you've got me intrigued. Where they shouldn't?" "Most families there have lived there since before there was a federal government to tell them they couldn't. But don't get me wrong it's a really great place. It's a place if possible I'd want my kids to grow up." "You're daughter. She's six right." "Yes, it was part of the reason I left my hometown." Then Lizzy saw a prompt off screen 'Talk about Hanks of Danger.' "Which actually ties in with my current running TV show. 'The Hanks of Danger'. It was filmed in a small town called Hazzard." "Yes on the show you play Lily Hank. What did it take to prepare for that role?" "It didn't actually take that much work. The woman the character is based on is Daisy Duke. One of my costars and an up and coming actress herself. She's actually one of my best friends. All we did was hang out for a while and I used some of the stories she told me about to influence my character. I grew up in the south it's not that hard to revert back to a small town girl." "Tell us a little about your other costars." Ted says. "Well there's Christopher McDonald who plays Boss Roost. He's a lot of fun to work with. We talk about racing a lot. Um then there's Todd Bridget who plays Frank Hank. He's ok, I love his singing. He's amazing and that guitar is so cool. And then there's Ben Jones who plays Ace the Mechanic. It's like having a father figure on the set for me. He's a really great guy and he's great with Belle. She absolutely adores him." Lizzy says. "So, I have to ask what is the most ridiculous thing you have read about yourself in the tabloids. I read some pretty strange stuff." "I couldn't say there was just one, there's a few of them. I think one of the top was a few years back when a stuntman Freddy Houser started spending a lot of time with me and Belle. They printed that I was absolutely in love with him and there were rumors that we were engaged. Freddy is a really good friend of mine and that's all he'll ever be. Another one would have to when I heard through a friend that the tabloids were saying something about how Belle wasn't really my daughter that I had just adopted her to make me more popular or something like that. Which I can guarantee are completely false. Four hours of painstaking labor and and those blue eyes can guarantee she is really my daughter." "I've noticed you've been hiding your left hand any reason why?" "I always do. I don't think there has ever been a picture of me or me on an interview where I've shown it." "Which leads us all to wonder...are you really single?" "Not anymore." "Seeing someone?" Ted asked leaning towards Lizzy. "Not exactly." "Not exculsive? You can't keep us in agony and waiting." "It's extremely exclusive. It's none of your business but..." Lizzy lifts her left hand and reaches for her cup showing off her ring. "Engaged?" Ted asks taking her hand. "Yep. Six months. I just don't want him dragged into the spotlight like my daughter is." "When's the wedding?" "It should have been four months ago. I wanted a whirlwind wedding and then to get back to acting. Didn't happen. I'm not sure when it will now just that it will eventually." "Will it be here?" "No. We're planning on going back his hometown. Most of his family still lives there." "Our final question for tonight will be, is there any tabloid stories that are although out there are completely true?" "I can't say there's one that's completely true just one that is mainly true. Once I got over the shock of it I kept it. My publicist received a copy of it before it reached newsstands and kept it out of print. She gave me the only copy of the story." Lizzy says. "Thank you Ms. Lizzy. Unfortunately that's all the time we have tonight folks. Here's a peak at what's coming up." Ted says. The audience cheers and then the director calls "We're clear." "So are you going to tell me more about this mystery man or not." Ted says. "Only that..." Lizzy leans over and whispers "He's the same behatted man I've been seen with recently." She says before walking off the set.
  12. "That reminds me...where do you want it? Here or Hazzard?" Bo asks. "Hazzard in two months." Lizzy says.
  13. "And I'm only saying Matron cause you're already married. You're my best friend it's only fitting." Lizzy says. "What about me Mommy?" Belle says. "You can be my little flower girl." Lizzy says.
  14. Lizzy stood up and hugged Daisy. "I am too. I never thought he'd do it." Lizzy says. Belle was scooped up into Bo's arms where she promptly cuffed his head. "That was too long. Don't do it again." Belle says.
  15. Belle to was also peering out from behind her half closed door waiting for him to get a move on it. "This is harder than I thought it would be." Bo mutters. "Bo...are you sure you're alright?" Lizzy asks concerned. "You know I love you right." "Of course. I love you too." "And...well...I've always loved you and Belle since I met you both." "I'm sure Belle loves you too." "I...I'm sorry this isn't in some fancy restaurant or some high priced motel suite like your used to but...Ever since you came back to Hazzard and gave me another chance I warned myself over and over again don't screw it up. I planned on doing this two months ago when we landed in Cali but we were so rushed that I didn't want to upset you again." Lizzy mind was working in overdrive and she began praying it was what she hoped it was. "I...I've loved you forever Lizzy and the last two months have been the best of my life. I can't imagine waking up without you anymore and...I talked to your father last night. David and Cooter both and they said yes so I'm hoping...well..." Bo got out of his chair and got down on one knee pulling out a velvet box causing Lizzy's eyes to go wide and her brain to turn to mush. "Elizabeth Natalie Jackson-Davenport, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" He had done it. It had taken a lot of courage and sounding a little like Enos but he had finally proposed to the girl of his dreams. Lizzy's mouth dropped open in shock and her fork clattered to the floor. For once she spoke from her heart and not from her brain. "Yes...yes a million times yes." Lizzy cried. Bo scooped her up and spun her around finally sliding the diamond ring over her left ring finger. "Did she say yes?" Belle asked bolting into the kitchen unable to wait any longer. Bo had barely let her go when Lizzy dropped to her knees and hugged her daughter. "You're getting a daddy baby." Lizzy whispered. "Did you hear that Aunt Daisy? I'm finally getting a daddy." Belle called.
  16. Eventually they all meet up at Lizzy's apartment which to this day is still completely hidden as no one other than the landlord knew about Lizzy's fame. For the first two weeks Daisy slept on the pull out couch and Bo in a recliner before Daisy managed to talk to the landlord who had revealed that he did have one place for rent up on the fifth floor but it was rather dumpy looking. Lizzy remembered the place, a four bedroom, one bathroom kind of place. With help from Lizzy and Bo and later Enos the place was fit to be habitable again. Two months later Enos and the girls moved in with Enos getting a part time job at the L.A. law enforcement agency. Bo had found a bit of work here and there doing lawn work and a bit of singing but his real paycheck was brought in by being discovered as a stuntman. The Hanks of Danger was a big hit and now signed on for a second season. Bo and Lizzy had specifically be written about much more but if you looked closely you could find it. Mainly in blips about Lizzy's behatted friend. Bo had called Luke several times to go over his latest plan to win Lizzy heart and they were finally sure it was going to work. Finally one night Bo gathered his courage. He had gotten the day off and in turn taken Belle out. It had all been part of his plan. As he prepared for his romantic night he fed Belle who once again chastised him for making her wait so long to get a daddy. It had become useless to scold her for it but instead they let her dream. He had just put Belle in her room when Lizzy finally came through the door exhausted. "Hungry?" Bo asks. "Always." Lizzy answers. "Well you'll have to wait a bit it's not quite done. Why don't you go take a relaxing bath and put on the dress on your bed?" Bo suggests. Lizzy cocks an eye brow but shrugs and does as he asks. When she finishes adding a few touches of make-up just to go with the dress and doing up her hair she opens her door to find Bo standing there in a nice pair of dress slacks and a fresh shirt. He escorts her to the kitchen and small dinning table and places two plates on the table next to the bowls. Lizzy holds in a grin and looks up at Bo. "Grilled Cheese and Spaghettio's?" Lizzy asks. "You know it's the only thing I can cook without burning." Bo says sheepishly. Lizzy smiles and takes his hand. "Let's see if this tastes as good as it looks?" Lizzy says. The dinner and desert were really up there on Lizzy romantic scales and she loved every moment of it. Bo on the other hand seemed exceedingly nervous. "Bo this is amazing. Pasta, grilled cheese, and Chocolate Cheesecake. Not the cheep kind either. What's wrong?" Lizzy asks. "I want...I need to ask you something." Bo says glancing at Lizzy then back at his half eaten desert.
  17. "Donny make sure she gets back to my apartment safely. If she doesn't you can forget that bonus. Ted for all I care you can send him to the sharks but then again my daughter wouldn't like that so if you want to rough him up a bit. And Bob if you even think about dropping her I will kick your butt." "Ms. Jackson I'm surprised you think so little of me. Now into the car." Bob says pushing Lizzy to the first one. "Miss...if you please." Donny says opening the door to the car for Daisy. "Sir the car is down the road a bit." Ted says.
  18. Three men showed up at Lizzy side, one taking Bo, one with Lizzy and Belle, and the last with Daisy. "Guys I trust these three men with my life. Go with them they'll bring you to my apartment later on." Lizzy says pulling her sunglasses down and handing over Belle.
  19. Lizzy reached up into her carry on pack. "Here." Lizzy says plopping a ball cap on Bo's head and handing both him and Daisy sunglasses. "Remember not a word to anyone. Lizzy scooped up Belle and Billy dialed Marci as they stepped off the plane and traveled through the airport to the two cars waiting out front.
  20. Lizzy grabbed the magazine and looked at the story about Daisy and David. Lizzy skimmed through it and smiled. "Hon, the best thing to do in this situation is ignore the boy, ignore the story, and don't talk to the press." Lizzy says ticking them of on her fingers. "I can have Marci set the story straight it you would like."
  21. "But surely..." Belle starts. "Hey Belle why don't you come sit up here with good old Billy and stop bothering your Aunt." Billy says. "But I..." "Come on honey. I'll let you color." "Billy I swear to god if you let her color on your chick mags again I will skin you." Lizzy growls. "Never again. I couldn't get a date for a week Honey." Billy says lifting Belle over the seats.
  22. "But surely if you love someone you can just tell them right? Mommy tells me she loves me all the time. Why can't she tell him that?" Belle asks.
