  1. Hello Emy-Rae!

Boy, I sure do hope that you can get your computer fixed soon, and somewhat inexpensively! I hope that you can find a way to still stay connected to HazzardNet.

I'm sure that I'll see you up and responding really soon! And, I have to say that I agree 100% with General Grant, I just love how much you welcome all the new folks who come here-that's awesome!

    Talk to you soon!

  2. Hi Everyone!

You know what I love about coming on HazzardNet? You always give me something new to think about! I must admit, in my mind I've never thought of Waylon Jennings to be part of the cast. I just thought of him as the "background guy." You know, the cool guy in the back that just says a couple of catchy jokes, makes you laugh, and then he leaves. I never really thought how important he really was until I read this post tonight!

But, then I thought about how different the show would be if I muted everything that he said. Can you imagine that?!? I mean, you would hear the Dukes talking and stuff, but it wouldn't be the same! You would miss the jokes and what was happening. Like everyone was saying, he was such a pivotal part of the show.

And, I didn't realize it was only 6 years ago that he passed away. I was thinking it was a lot longer. But, nevertheless, it's still sad to hear when a Duke Member passes away.

Yes, I do listen to a bit of the older country, and I love the older movies, too! They are just so great!

Well, talk to all of you soon!

    Laura

  3. I would have to agree with you there, Uncle Jesse! If I'm just having a bowl of ice cream-mint ice cream is SO yummy! But, if it's in a cone, nothing tastes better than a vanilla ice cream cone!

But, and I don't know about the rest of you...I can't STAND eating cold ice cream on a winter day! Brrr!!!!

Daisy.... You know how Bo and Luke volunteer their time to be Big Brothers? Well, have you ever been a Big Sister for the organization? Any stories/comments on how that went? And, did Bo and Luke help out as much as you did?

    Laura Duke

  4. Julieduke... I finally figured out who your brother is-Cooter! I've been sitting here trying to figure out who you meant that your brother was.

Lori, Wow! I didn't know that you were so spunky. I love it! You keep it up! :)

General...so let me get this straight: while still being tied up, you managed, while on top of Fiesty, to uncinch the saddle that you were sitting on? I'll admit that you are good at taking off and putting on a saddle, but you are definately not THAT good. I'm not calling you a liar, so I'm assuming that you were taking a nap and dreamed that part up-you just can't tell reality from dreams. :)

  5. Hi Everyone,

So, was there a chat on Sunday? Sorry I couldn't make it, I wasn't feeling 100%, and am still recovering. If you did chat on Sunday, how was it, and who made it? Is there going to be a chat this coming Sunday?

Lori, were you able to snooker your way into not having to clean and join in on chatting? Hopefully you were able to chat.

Talk to all of you soon!

  6. Hello Everyone!

I was SO upset to hear that Maudeen passed away. Now I'm bummed! But, it helps a little to know that you named another one Maudeen. If it's from Maudeen's family I'll even feel a little better.

I guess that I kind of look throughout the whole newspaper. But, some of the stuff I enjoy reading are: Entertainment, TV Guide, For Sale, Help Wanted, and the Question and Answer.

Uncle Jesse: Is there a particular reason that you always wear that red cap? Is there a special reason behind it?

Talk to all of you soon!

    Laura Duke

  7. Ha! Ha! You give it to General, Lori! I'm enjoying this!

Hey, Lori, can I go to the rodeo with you and Fiesty? It sure sounds like fun. I'll get my Western gear and some food.

As for the General....you can leave her standing at the side of the road with a picture of herself. And, do return JulieDuke's keys, General!

    Laura Duke

  8. Poor LoriDavenport! I sure do hope that you can make it to chat this week. I feel bad that you have to clean the whole house all by yourself!

Emy-Rae: I sure hope that you can make it, too.

Well, I guess that I hope that all of you can make it! I'll try to be there, but I never can tell. I can forget easily sometimes! :-P

  9. Thanks for the answers everyone!

Here's a couple of questions for all of you to answer, please.

When you aren't running from the sheriff and you actually have time to relax (which probably isn't very often) what kind of hobbies do you like to do? What would be a perfect day for each of you?

Do you Dukes grow a garden? If so, what's in it?

Also, what kind of animals do you have now? Do you still have Maudeen?

Does Cooter ever come over to talk with you guys? It seems the only time he comes over is to warn you about the next time Boss gets a scheme up his sleeve. :D

Talk to all of you soon!

    Laura Duke

  10. Ha! Ha! Roger (or Uncle Jesse) you cracked me up! That was so funny-Jesse ninja! :D How do you come up with those? They are funny!

BoJamesDuke and LoriDavenport-you two just love to bother one another! I was laughing at you two.

Then there's General Grant, and again, LoriDavenport. You give it to her Lori. Poor Lori, always getting picked on. Why is that? She's so sweet and innocent, how can anyone pick on her?

Then there's DaisyMae-she's trying her best to stay out of trouble. So far so good, huh Daisy?

I'm still laughing, you guys are just such a funny group!

    Laura Duke

  11. Hello JD Hogg!

Welcome to HazzardNet! You've come to the right place to meet some awesome people-and have plenty of opportunities to pick on all of them! :D

Seriously, enjoy your stay. I'm really glad that you have come to join us. And, I get a chuckle everytime I see your avatar.

Well, I'll see you around! And again, welcome.

    Laura Duke

  12. Uncle Jesse, thanks for clearing up the Baptist/Methodist question that you replied to on Page 6.

Daisy, I loved the question that you gave yourself on page 3, I laughed at that one.

Bo and Luke, you two are good. You have such quick, witty answers to everything.

All of you are wonderful. I feel like I'm talking to Uncle Jesse, Daisy, Bo, and Luke!

Daisy-growing up with all guys must be kind of hard(no offense). Do you ever wish that you had a sister? If you did, would you rather have an older sister or a little sister?

Uncle Jesse-do you ever wish that you could replace your pick-up truck with a car like Daisy or the boys vehicles?

Luke-Do you still regret letting Cooter borrow your car that he smashed up? Or, are you content sharing a vehicle with Bo?

Bo-Do you regret not going with Diane Bensons' traveling carnival, or are you happy that you decided against it?

    Well, that's all for now!

    Laura Duke

  13. (Imitating Waylon Jennings) "Do you know this all started by someone asking what they thought of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Duke? Ya'll stick around, there could be some tricky curves ahead."

Thanks Lori, General needs to be kept in line. And, you right, Poor ol' Laura gets picked on all the time. :( Until Uncle Jesse and Lori come along! :p

Here's a question: how come Uncle Jesse never picks a fight or gets into one? And, you never see Uncle Jesse pick sides. How is that?

And, why is it Daisy always argues with Bo? But, then again, just about everyone argues with Bo!:p

I'll talk to all of you soon!

    Laura Duke

  14. Hi Everyone!

This sounds like fun! I will sure try to be there on Sunday!

That was really fun chatting last week, so I'm definately looking forward to that again. We will have to slow down for Roger and General, though. :)

Sorry to hear that you won't make it Lori, I hope next week you can, though.

DaisyMae, I don't know if this will help, but I don't use the pop-up chat room because it just doesn't work well. I recommend a separate page for the chat room. When that page pops up, there will be a grey box with a picture of a coffee cup on the top left corner. Take your mouse and hit the grey box, and in a few moments it should work just fine.

I hope it works and you will be able to make it on Sunday.

Well, I'll talk to you all then-I can't wait! :)

  15. Hello 01getaway!

Welcome to HazzardNet! I sure hope that you enjoy your stay here. As I can see, you've already had some of the nicest people to come and give you a warm Hazzard welcome. But, trust me, there's still some great people you haven't met yet!

So stick around, it sure is fun and interesting! :)

And, that's so cool that you could use the General Lee for your wedding day. How did you find the General?

    Welcome!

    Laura Duke

  16. Hello!

A few years ago I saw "Copland." I probably only watched it for a half an hour because I caught the end of the show. For the 30 minutes I saw it, it did seem interesting. Yes, he did look as though he gained some weight for that show, but he still did look kind of fit.

Yes, I did see the Karate Kid, and I do agree-I think that it does seem to be rather like a spin-off of Rocky. But, I loved both shows!

    What does everyone else think?

    Laura Duke

  17. Here's a question for Daisy (But it's kind of already answered),

You have always been kind of a tomboy, ready to take care of yourself without needing help. So, here's my questions:

Who do you fight with more when you were younger: Bo or Luke?

Do you tackle them anymore? If so, who do you tackle more?

    Laura Duke

  18. My wife's first name was Lavinia but some of her kinfolks used to call her Martha because we have two other Livinias in the family. Her middle name is Martha so that's what some people called her to avoid confusion.

We met at the Hazzard County Baptist Church when her Daddy (and his family) was visiting from Choctaw County as a guest minister. Sometimes it seems like a hundred years ago and sometimes it feels like yesterday. *closes eyes and sighs* I sure miss her.

    Uncle Jesse,

I thought that you were Methodist.?. But in your letter you say that you are Baptist. What happened that made you switch over?

    Laura Duke

  19. Hi Everyone!

I thought the line went "fightin' the system like two modern day Robin Hoods" But, I have been known to misunderstand before. Shocking, isn't it? :D

Well, the whole thing still puzzles me, and it can drive me crazy when I watch the Dukes: is that Waylon's voice? I guess I'll probably never know.

Roger, you could have asked James Best, he might have known. :D

Well, talk to you all soon!

    Laura Duke

  20. Hi BoJamesDuke!

Just remember us simple Hazzard folks when you become rich and famous! :D

    Also, (clears throat)

    Happy Birthday to You!

    Happy Birthday to You!

    Happy Birthday, dear BoJamesDuke!

    Happy Birthday to You!

Okay, well maybe LoriDavenport would have sang it better than I. :) But you get the idea. I sure hope that you had a wonderful birthday.

As for everyone else... Have a great evening!

    Laura Duke

  21. General,

I think that's a splendid idea! Maybe we could set up a time and keep that every week? Not everyone will be able to chat every time, but you will get a great variety of chatters.

So, yes, I love the idea. What day and time do you have in mind? I was at the chat too, and it was Sunday. I'm not sure what time it was.

    What do others think?

    Laura Duke

P.S. Thanks to everyone who chatted Sunday. I can't tell you how fun it was!
