  1. Lori was beyond the point of angry. Seeing the nearest doctor, she let out a shaky breath grumbling low in under her breath. "Doc?" She asked, fro m behind him, relaxed against the wall, her hand was numb from the pain. Turning around to see a woman who's hand was a totally different color than the rest of her, dried blood on it, and new blood still dripping from it, the doctor's eyes grew wide laying down his clip board. "Are you alright ma'am?" He asked her concerned. Lori looked at him blinking, showing him her hand. "Does it look it?" She spat on accident, not meaning to be rude. Nodding, the doctor led her into a small room where he then began to mend her hand up. Making small noises mostly shameful ones, he put the last wrap on it, looking at her. "Well miss,, looks to me like you've completely shattered your hand..every bone in it is broken." The doctor reported with a small sigh. Lori looked at him, getting up off the table, cussing Luke in under her breath. "Great...thanks doc.."
  2. Seeing the doctors coming out of his room, Jesse let out a depressing breath of air going to sit back down in the waiting room. "Uncle Jesse is he ok?" Daisy asked worriedly. She feared something terrible was wrong with her baby cousin. Jesse looked at her, hugging her to him comfortingly. "He will be ok....he's just...confused and hurt right now.."
  3. Jesse swallowed a little. Turning, he hurried himself out of Bo's room going to the nurse's desk. Reporting to her what was happening, she got a hold of Bo's doctor and rushed to his room to check on him. Jesse closed hi eyes, hanging his head. He felt bad that he had to tell Bo that, and felt even worse he would have to tell him the truth later.
  4. Lori had about all she could take. Being as hot headed as she was, and short tempered she slammed her fist into the brick wall. A loud cracking noise could be heard clean through the hospital. Lori looked down at her now bruising hand, blood oozing from her black and blue knuckles. Growling low in her throat, not even feeling the pain in her hand, she was about tempted to let a string of profanities unleash on him. Slowly, she turned to leave.
  5. "You ok Bo?" Jesse asked softly, worried his nephew was having trouble breathing.
  6. "I don't EXPECT you to do anything...only thing I said was stop mopin' around and actin' as if your some helpless creature because you're in a wheel chair!" She shouted angrily, her bronzed face turning five different shades of red. Her eyes turning a bright orange color.
  7. Lori followed him. Each step she took her blood pressure rose higher and higher. Getting to a point where it was boiling. "Oh so now we've resorted to actin' like a five year old?" she snapped from behind him, if he didn't stop she was liable to be put in the hospital herself or the jail one.
  8. Lori let out an exasperating breath of air. Getting up, she towered over him, her arms crossed causing her muscles to tense. "Luke...need I remind you of the time I got shot by YOUR ex girlfriend's husband?" Lori raised her shirt up a little pointing to the scar it had left from the surgery. "I couldn't move around for God knows how long, just laying in a bed... when I got out you better'd da** well believe I tried my best to do what I wanted..to do what I KNOW I could and not one time did I ever ask for anyone's help unless I needed it...give it time and be patient, there's this thing called therapy that'll help you walk again Luke I'm positive.." She spat vehemently. "So swallow some of your pride and get over it and quick..."
  9. Jesse shook his head, he'd let it go for now. But, when Bo got out of the hospital, he thought more to himself, he'd have to find out the truth. "Just calm down Bo..."
  10. "Oh good grief..." Lori muttered to herself, running a hand down her face. "You are hard headed aren't you? Luke, you are not HALF a man...don't start mopin' around and actin' helpless, can't never could do nothing is what I've been taught all my life, Luke, no matter what if you set your mind to it you CAN do it... so don't start sayin that 'oh woo is me I can't do anything' or 'I'm useless now, I'm hopeless' ... cut it out for cryin' out loud.... Uncle Jesse'd be ashamed to hear such talk...sounds as if ya wantin' t' give up, and that ain't the Lukas Duke I know..." Lori spoke firmly, sounding a bit more harsher than what she meant to.
  11. Jesse shook his head sadly. Sighing, he looked down into Bo's eyes, his own eyes filling with pain and agony. "Bo...no they aren't. I do have proof... I'm sorry..."
  12. Lori sighed, seeing his expression, knowing what he was thinking. Squeezing his hand comfortingly, she brung his calloused hand to her lips, planting a soft kiss on it. "It'll be ok Luke, I promise ya it will...me, Jesse, Bo, Daisy, JJ... we'll all do everything in our power t' make sure it's alright, you might not be able t' do anything physically, but you can still do things..." She just wasn't sure what at the moment.
  13. Jesse sighed seeing his confusion. "Bo...your real parents died in a car crash, along with Luke's and Daisy's..." he paused a minute to let out a breath of air he held. "The people who took you in, who you claim is your parents, must have found you when you ran away from home.."
  14. Jesse shook his head, sighing sadly. He hate to tell Bo, it pained his insides. "Bo...those aren't your biological parents, you know that right?"
  15. The room fell silent for a moment. Jesse looked down at his youngest charge, his eyes searching the blonde's sky blue eyes for an answer. "Bo...your parents?" He asked perplexed.
  16. Lori nodded with a smile, entwining her fingers with his. "Though...you still ain't able enough t' help out around the farm...you'll just hafta learn to deal with it..." She knew it was impossible, and what she just said went through one ear and out the other. The man was hard headed and as stubborn as she was.
  17. Lori grinned a little, snickering playfully. "I know, figured you'd be happy though, means ya don't gotta do ya chores, you ain't never had too much love for doin' that either...last time I checked, you and Bo was always tryin' t' get out of doin' 'em."
  18. Jesse chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "It happened twelve years ago Bo...we've long forgave you for it...we missed you terribly.."
  19. "Who doesn't?" Lori asked with a light chuckled softly patting his arm. "If it means keepin' ya alive and here on earth with us though, ain't it worth it?"
  20. "Yea, it's me son..." Jesse replied softly, taking one of Bo's hands. He was shocked to see how much he'd grown, turned from a sugar high six year old into a fine young man.
  21. Lori sighed. She hated to see him cry and knew he was about to. She could sense other people's emotions and it killed her to know there was nothing she could do to help him. "Luke...what you need to worry about is yourself dear. The work at the farm is taking care of, its as if you never left. JJ? you honestly know whats wrong with her? Luke, she's old enough to make certain decisions on her own and she doesn't need her oldest brother to tell her how to live, what to do, anymore. She's a big girl now sweetheart, she needs to do things for herself.." Lori spoke softly, gently, to him as she laid her arms across the arm of the wheelchair looking at him with soft imperial purple eyes. She rubbed his forearm gently, in a consoling manner. "Don't cry...ya know I ain't too good with the water works.."
  22. Lol its quite alright Laura it's the thought that counts the most. And, yea I've been on here a year lol, made it 12 years though ive been a fan of the show. And made 4 years Ive been a writer so, Im doing good.

  23. Lori chuckled lightly, nodding to him in agreement. "I know what you mean, I've been in your shoes so I know what you're going through. They's only poking and stuff to check and make sure ya alive...sometimes I just poke ya cause I know it annoys ya."
