Lori shook her head as she saw Terry Clark, the boy that Bo had been talking about he was over there staring at Lori. Lori spewed beer everywhere as she saw Terry. He'd grown alot, into a fine, hansome man.

Angelena drove to the farm to see michael there, She pulled up and got out carrying a baby carrier with a beautiful baby boy inside.. Lori looked to Luke and shook her head,"Really? I see it the other way around Luke you'll be eatin Midnight Rider's dust." "I sure am glad Bo aint here, he'll be wanting to race." Lori took a swig of the beer not caring of the watered down taste it had it was better than that hospital water.

Lori was puzzled but didn't show it, she held her hand out and shook Luke's. "Sure, why not, sides i miss bein able t' beat ya'll out on the race tracks." Lor said giggling getting up to go to the bar to get her another beer.

Lori looked to Luke and smiled. "Your acutally talking to me, what came over ya?" "Luke, I know I hurt ya bad, worser than what I thought, I really did understand and Luke, the only thing I wanted was fer you t' be happy, and you are, you and Candy are together and thats great!!! I want t' thank ya also fer coming to the hospital when i was in ther, I know you probably didn't wanna be there but thanks anyways.

Lori nodded at him, "Sure am, thanks fer asking, you and Miss Dix over there happy?" Lori looked to Candy and smiled big, she was glad Luke was happy again from she had done to him.

Lori hearing Luke bout feel back in her chair, she fell forward and looked to Luke,"Sure aint, go on ahead." Lor nodded to the chair and looked to Cooter who go the message. Cooter got up and walked to the bar.

Lori looked around and went over to order her a beer cooter following in behind they sat a couple of tables away from Luke and Candy, Lori leaned back in her chair with her beer on the table, she propped her hands behind her head and starting humming a tune. The boy that Bo had been telling her walked over to Bo and Sara's table whispering lowly to them,"Do ya think i should go for it guys?"

A week had passed and Lori was feeling better than ever, she could actually feel her legs that she'd been laying on for what seemed like an eternity. Lori had her clothes there and felt her arm freed from the IVs she smiled as she put her jeans with the holes in the knees on then her belt and her tanktop and levi jacket on she struggled a little with her boots from bending over but managed to get them on. She walked out of her room seeing the doctor come towards her. "Well Ms. Davenport glad to see your alive and well, uh listen Im going to need you to lay off the racing and driving for awhile unless you unweld your doors." Lori shook her head "no" she wasnt unwelding her doors,"C'mon doc, at least...." the doctor interrupted her by saying almost demanding her,"No, Ms. Davenport, NO, absolutely NO driving." Lori shook her head waiting on Cooter to come and get her. Cooter arrived to pick her up as Lori walked out to see him,"Howdy cousin, I promise I aint no psycho wither." Lori said with a laugh as she gently climbed in and shut the door. Cooter shook his head and smiled backing out driving away from the hospital. They drove fer what seemed like hours going to the Boar's Nest, Lori needed a beer and a job too. "Cooter, ive been thinking and Bo brung this to my attention to, I think I should get a job at the Boar's Nest to build my confidence back up." Cooter almosted wrecked laughing so hard at her,"Cousin, you wouldnt last a day in there you'd have every one of em' killed in there." Lori shot him a look and grumbled under her breath,"Well, I jus tmight but im going to anyways." They pulled up in the Boar's Nest and walked in greeting everyone for what seemed like she'd been gone for a year or more.

She shook her head and chocked up the words, finding the strenght to tell Luke. "Y...Yes, Luke it was, no man around compared to you Luke, they just... they just don't Luke... I always was jealous of Dixie, and jealousy is a nasty thing, I could never get over you and her together. It hurt me everyday of my life. Luke, lets just say that I came close to death itself a couple of times because of it. Luke...I, just I always have felt this way for you." Lori put her hand on her forehead looking at the dashboard waiting for his response. Luke looked to Lori and softly replied to her......... ~~~~~~ Beth drove through town just to see exactly were Luke was at when she did, she had found Enos standing outside Beth drove by and hollered out her window. "Hey Enos, whats wrong looks like ya lost something? Enos looked to Beth in distress,"I sure did, Lori, her and Luke gave me the shuck ad jive and escaped!" Beth shook her head and told Enos,"Well, you'll never find em' Enos, if I know anything they went somewheres private and secluded away from here to talk." Enos shook his head and walked back indoors. Beth drove towards the farm and thought to herself aloud,"Well, if Dixie ever finds out about this, boy she'll be ticked to no end." Beth drove off towards the farm.... ~~~~~~~~ Cooter pulled in at his farm and shut his door scratching his head. Cooter walked in and saw Dixie on the couch setting there. "Hey, listen sorry bout that in the bar cousin, I didn't know you was soo ticked." Dixie nodded her head as cooter walked over to set beside of her, I saw ole' ernie drive by, anything you want to tell me. Dixie looked to Cooter and smirked,"Nope, d'you see were Luke ran off to?" Cooter looked down and sighed,I thought you'd ask that. He uh... went to get Lori outta jail and they aint back at the farm either and Lori aint here so their still out there somewhere." Dixie jumped up and turned blood red with anger she yelled out.......

It was getting late and Beth was getting tired, she nodded of a few times to see Dixie and Ernie walk out of the bar she followed close behind, watching the two. Ernie helped Dixie in the car and drove off, Beth following in behind. ~~~~~~ Meanwhile in the General, Lori looked to Luke and sighed,"Well I guess the only thing to do now is go home, Cooter'll kill me fer sure now." Luke looked at Lori and chuckled softly. Luke liked Lori alot, but its like he said he also wanted to give Dixie a chance as well. Luke sighed and turned the General down a long dusty road wanting to get away for awhile and to talk things out with Lori. Lori looked surprised and shocked she turned in her seat towards Luke as the General came to a stop, "Luke, why did you bring me out here for?" Luke looked to Lori with his soft sky blue eyes and said,"Lori, darlin' we need to talk about this situation."

Lori laughed and pushed her hair back. She loved it when Bo tussled her hair around like he did. Lori looked outside as she saw it growing dark.Lori yawned and laid her head down, the last thing she saw before she dozed off was Bo smiling. Lori fell asleep and resorted to snoring and talking in her sleep, she always was funny to be around when she was asleep.

Lori smiled at Bo and shook her head," alright thank ya Bo, for everything, id give ya a hug, but I cant move!!!" Lori laughed and looked to Bo, unlike Cooter, Bo was always there for her and he was truley like her older brother.

Lori, looking to Bo, was shocked at what Bo had said,"Well Bo, I cant help how I use to be, I honeslty don't know how pampered I got like that, I was raised around ya'll, yea well Bo, I aint like Daisy and I never will be... I cant be as happy and go lucky like she is Bo as much as Id love to I can't." Lori looked to Bo and smirked,"haha, funny how can I mope around we I cant even get outta bed!" Lori said smiling to Bo... "Well, I guess i can promise ya this much Bo, I dont know how I'll turn out after I get outta here but I can bvout guarantee, it won't be no yelling and crying no more! I just don't know how to get my self esteem or confidence like i use to have back Bo, I dont know how to anymore!" Lori looked to Bo praying he had an answer because she didn't.

Lori looked to Bo with the saddest of eyes,"Bo, I honeslty don't think I can ever have a relationship with anyone, I understand what yer saying to me, Bo, I was suppose to get married before i left Hazzard, then I fell inlove with Luke and hurt him more than myself,then i got married and ended up in the hospital and a divorce, in highschool i wasn't anybody's type of girl, I guess I just bad luck with men." Lori sighed and closed her eyes thinking of every moment she thought was ever precious in her life.

Loir sighed turning back over to Bo looking to him,"Bo, im sorry, i do feel left out and all, but I just, I don't want to risk getting hurt all over again, I took one too many chances in my life and im tired of getting hurt. I use to be one to wear my heart on my sleeve, but it got trampled one too many times, I just cant take it no more...." Lori sighed again and looked to the foot of the bed, twirling the covers with her feet, she turned to look back to Bo.

Lori looked to Bo with a frown,"Yea, bo I guess....*sighs* I guess." Lori thought about it, if everyone deserved to be happy, then why wasn't she? Lori thought long and hard about it. She thought to herself,"well, Bo, you've got a girlfriend, Luke's got Candy, Cooter's happy, Daisy and Uncle Jesse are happy, but why ain't I??" she couldnt figure it out. Lori shook her head and rolled over on her other side away from Bo, huddled up in the covers, her head buried in the pillow.

Lori swallowed a little at that, it got to her. Lori turned to look at him and shrugged,"Guess I never was meant to be a happy person. Truth be known Bo, if it hadnt been for Candy 5 years ago to help me outta sooo many bar fights and the hospital, i would be dead right now." Lori had ended up in the hospital soo many times up in Tennesse on account of drunk driving and toooo much whiskey all in one night, and too many honky tonks. Lori:but what can ya expect from someone whos wasted her life away down to nothin' not much i tell ya.

Lori looked down to the ground and a tear sprang from her eyes,"Luke, i never meant ot hurt you or put you in the position to choose between me and Dixie, Luke, i...... Lori thought a moment before she said love,:I like you.........alot! Lori looked down her head in her arms she looked up to Luke who was thinking hard and she could tell, "Well, truth is Lori i like you too, alot, but I can't choose between you and dixie." Luke said taking one of her hands behind the bars. Lori looked to him his sky blue eyes shining at her deep brown chocolatey ones. Lori took his other hand and said,ixie, doesn't have to know though does she? " Luke looked to her astonished, Luke didn't want to, but he said he wanted to give Lori a chance, and still yet give Dixie a chance too. Luke looked to Lori,:First we gotta get you out sweetheart, then romance" ~~~~~~~~~ Back at the bar...... Dixie looked and said,"Yea, i member him, so?? Beth looked to Ernie,"Nope, I'm happily married and you know that Ernie, sorry." Beth showed no sympathy that she turned his buddy down she just simply looked away to Dixie who, by much to her surprise was actually thinking about this situation! Dixie thought about it and had remembered Ernie, she thought long and hard about it and was too pissed to care, "Sure Ernie ill giva ya a shot, can't be as bad as what im already in!" Dix egot up and took hold of Ernie's arm and walked away with him, Beth, astonished to see this sat at the bar keeping an eye on the two.

Lori looked to Bo and gave him one of luke's raised eye-brow looks,"Now Bo, i aint one fer surprises and secret admirers, look at were it led me, here of all places." Lori thought about that, thats how she met Jack, through Candy, it was almost set-up like,"I just don't think im all that ready to begin a relatonship with no one anyhow, Everytime i do, it leads to guns!! that aint no fun."Lori smiled and laughed.

Lori looked to Bo and laughed,"Really?? well whats this fine young man's name, and ill consider it, if he'll be willing to date a stubborn ole mule like myself." Lori laughed, knowing she'd turn him down, she wasn't all that intersted in the boys round hazzard, cept fer the duke boys, who she knew it never work between her and luke, candy, and bo already had him a sweetheart. Lori sighed and looked out the window,"Ehhhh, I aint interested, I aint about to get into a nother mess like this again." Lori wasn't about to let anyone come into her life again, she didn't trust anyone now.

Lori looked to Bo and shook her head with a smile,"whats that Bo?" Lori just loved being able to tlak to Bo again.
