  1. Bo, Luke and BJ met back at the farm. Luke got Dixie by herself for a minute. "What went on. Sh-- I forgot Enos was coming out here when I sent BJ out to park the rig. Tell me they weren't here at the same time?" Dixie smiled, "Luke I'd never lie to you." "Oh, Lord!" he said. Dixie asked, "What's up with Daisy and BJ. Was I here when he was here last?" Luke shook his head no. "It was after I got back from the Marines. BJ was a chopper pilot who pulled my A-- out of a slinge once. We became friends. When he came to see me after getting home and getting that rig out there, he and Daisy had feelings but he wasn't ready for ANY ties and left for the road and hasn't been back since. Jesse even let Daisy go to Wisconsin on a run with him. They were gone several days." "That says something for BJ's character for Jesse to trust him like that!" said Dixie. "Yeah, but now I'm worried about Enos. You know he's loved Daisy for years!" said Luke. "Honey, they are all adults, you can't fix everything for everyone!" she said stroking his hair. Luke nodded, "Yeah, I know but I don't like attributing to anyone's pain either." he said. "Would you just go have a good time. They will both end up there and you can all straighten it out." said Dixie. "Is Beth expecting Bo home tonight? He seems to think she is and plans to have Enos drive him home. I think she has him wrapped around her figure!" said Luke. Dixie shook her head, "I don't know. Of course I'd like to have you home with me everynight too but with our jobs that won't happen. I'll just be happy if you guys go have a good time, sleep it off and get home tomorrow afternoon with out going to jail, having a fist fight, pissing off the law in five counties and of course being at the church on time day after tomorrow!" "I'll be early just for you!" Luke said kissing her. "Do you know how much I love you? You are very realistic. I'd love to be home with you everynight too but there may be weeks I'm gone on one fire." "And I could get a call at midnight to be at work at 4am. It happens. Then, we could have plans and you get stuck on a fire or I have to work over." said Dixie, "But with all that we have servived this far we'll work it out." She smiled, then kissed Luke. 'Yes, we will work it out.' thought Luke. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Bo said, "Beth did Enos come out here?" "Yeah, he was here, for awhile but after BJ showed up he just kinda left in a hurry." she said. "Oh, Lord." said Bo. Confussed, Beth asked,"What?" "You know Enos has loved Daisy for years! Well, Daisy had a crush on BJ years ago! Those two are going to run into each other at the party!" said Bo. "We're just afraid Enos will get hurt." Beth said, "Look, if Daisy isn't worried about it and IF BJ makes her happy? Why are you two worried about it?" "Daisy can get 'tunnel vision' ***** from time to time. Enos came all the way from California to see her." replied Bo. Beth placed her finger over Bo's mouth to shush him, "Honey, they both came to wish Luke well. Don't give Daisy a guilt trip about Enos or she may miss something really special. When we saw the rig pull in we thought it was LD. I had forgotten all about BJ McKay it had been so long but Daisy, now, she knew that rig as soon as it turned in the drive." "If you say so." Bo replied. "Honey, I guess I'll have Enos, since no one else will be able to, run me home sometime later." She smiled knowing what Bo was thinking, Beth said, "Boreguard Duke, you have every reason in the world not to come home tonight. Now don't get me wrong -- if you want to come home and can do it safely. Great! But, as long as you're not with anyone else, I'll let you slide just tonight!" she kissed him most passionately. Several minutes later, Bo replied, "Keep that up and I'll not leave!" Beth gave him an evil grin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ***** Tunnel vision -- only seeing what's right in front of you. You don't see anything else but what you are focused on.
  2. Thanks! Bethie88 helped me fix it. She has some really cool ones of Bo but Luke is my Favorite Duke! DixieDavenport
  3. I like the pictures!!! Sorry my part of Hazzard is way East of you! Southern West Virginia Dixie
  4. Trooper Mitchell and his young partner headed to their cruiser. It was late or early depending how you looked at it. The 'eager beaver' was making Trooper Mitchell very tired. He sighed as he started the car. The radio came to life and dispatched them to a small hotel on the outside of Hazzard called the Dixie Inn. The complaint was that the owners had been robbed at gun point just moments ago by a hooded person driving a Firebird that had headed South. The hotel was out of Rosco's area and the two troopers were the only ones on duty as they were working late because of the incident with Luke Duke. Trooper Mitchell dropped the younger trooper off at the hotel to get a statement. He headed South looking for the Firebird. After looking for the Firebird for quiet sometime without any luck he returned to the hotel. Trooper Mitchell looked at the statement from the owners. 'Da--!', he thought, 'I know that car and where it's own lives. SH--! Have all the young adults went off the deep end tongiht?' he said to himself. To the owners, "We'll be getting back with you as soon as we know something." In the car Trooper Mitchell told the young trooper, "You are about to see what's its like to wake a Judge at ...." looking at his watch, "Five in the morning for a search warrant." "What, you know who did this?" said the younger trooper. Trooper Mitchell replied, "I think I do. I know who has a car matching that description and has access to guns. Had they said an older GOLD Firebird on the call I may have been able to have done this sooner." At the State Police office Trooper Mitchell called Judge Milton C. Hardcastle at the wee hour of 5:15 am! The Judge answered, "Hardcastle and it BETTER be GOOD!" "Judge Hardcastle this is Trooper Mitchell. I need to obtain a search warrant to search a house and car as soon as possible. The description I have fits a suspect in an Armed Robbery at the Dixie Inn." said the Trooper. He listened to the other end of the conversation. "I have a statement and I can be at your house in twenty minutes. Thanks you Sir and I am sorry for getting you up so early." He then said to the younger trooper, "Come on." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peggy looked at the clock it was 5:30am. She got the phone hooked up where the cord would reach to the cell. Sleep had aluded Luke, though he layed on the hard bunk starring at the ceiling. Peggy's movement had gotten his attention. As Luke sat up he saw Peggy coming his way with the phone and a large cup of coffee. She handed the coffee to Luke and sat the phone down on a shelf on the wall near the side of the cell. Taking a drink of the coffee Luke looked at the phone and sighed. "You know all my life I have been able to tell Uncle Jesse, but I don't think I can tell him this." He had decided hours ago to prepare Jesse the worst then hope for the best. He heard how upset Luther and Cooter had been. He doubted that even Uncel Jesse could calm them down enough to keep him from being charged with the felony. He sighed again. For Peggy she didn't know what to say to make this any better for Luke. She had been party to the events upstairs last night as she had came in, in the middle of it. Luke asked, "What time is it?" "5:40 am" was all Peggy said. Luke knew he had to call now before Jesse discovered him not home. Reaching through the bars Luke picked up the phone. "Maybelle get me the Duke farm please." Jesse had just poured his first cup of coffee when the phone rang. Looking at the clock. Jesse knew no one called here that early unless something was wrong. "Jesse Duke." he answered. Luke bit his lip hard at the sound of Jesse's voice. He knew what he was going to say would hurt Jesse more than it did him IF that was possible. "Uncle Jesse ......." "Luke? Where are you?" Jesse asked not sure he wanted to know. There was a long silence before Luke answered, "In jail." "What in tarnation did you do now? Let me guess been in another fight with just anyone who wanted to fight? OR maybe the last time wasn't long enough so you went out racing again sure to get your license revoked if you keep of this foolishness!" Jesse wasn't happy. Jesse was answered with total silince. "Luke. Tell me what they charged you with." replied Jesse sternly. Luke stood rock solidly still, yet he felt him shaking uncontrolably on the inside as he said, "St, .... Stat, ...., Statu, .... tory, .............. Rape." Luke's voice had cracked up badly and the last word was almost unheard, but Jesse heard him LOUD AND CLEAR. Jesse almost dropped his coffee cup, "What? Who? Did they manage to set you up?" "Jesse I only wished it were one of their set ups." Luke said as he turned his back to Peggy. His eye had against his will filled with tears. "Just listen a minute. That's not the formal charge yet. Though I'd bet my life it will be after seeing the Judge. Jesse replied, "Peggy's there? Ask her when is the earliest I can come talk to you about this and see what we can figure out. Luke did and replied, "8:30 am." Jesse said, "Luke I'll be seting there at 8:30am. Who's is the girl?" Luke would rather tell him that in person but figured he'd better prepare him in case he ran into the Davenports, "Thanks, Uncle Jesse." Luke paused, his voice barely heard by Jesse. He cleared his throat, "Dixie Dav, ... en, ... port." Confussed Jesse said, "What? Didn't you all just tell me she had her 18th birthday party?" Jesse voice was a bit loud for the hour of the morning. Luke sighed, "It's a long story. I've got to go. It makes me feel better knowing at least you think like I did." Jesse looked at the phone confussed now more than ever, "Luke, I love you." "I love you too." Luke handed the phone to Peggy. He layed on the bunk and faced the wall.
  5. Trp. Mitchell had always been a close friend of the Dukes but had to do his job. Once Trooper Mitchell got him to the car he said, "Luke I'm going to cut you as big a break as I can. Even after THAT stunt. I'm only charging you with Indecent Exposure, Public Intoxication , two counts of Contributing to the Deliquency of a Minor and now Resisting Arrest instead of the Felony." Luke looked at him in disbelief. The Trooper continued. "However, if her Father pushs, I'll have to drop one Contributing and charge you with the Felony charge of Statutory Rape ***** in which case one count of the contributing would be dropped. Understood?" Luke felt a slight relief but was sure it would be short lived once Mr. Davenport found out. The younger Trooper said, "What?" Trooper Mitchell told him, "I'll be writing this report." The younger Trooper stomped to his side of the car. ***** Statutory Rape is defined as a n. ---- Sexual relations with a person who has not reached the statutory age of consent.(even if both parties participate willingly) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rosco was at his desk when the Troopers brought Luke in to the jail. Dixie was told to take a seat at Rosco's desk which she did. Rosco had no idea what was going on. He said, "You can just put him up here until we process him." referring to the upstairs cell. Luke managed to find his voice, "Rosco if it's all the same to you. I'd just as soon go downstairs. It will probably be safer there once Luther is called." Rosco raised his eyebrows and looked to Trooper Mitchell who nodded in agreement with Luke. Luke was booked. Dixie’s father called to pick her up and to see what he wanted done with Luke. Dixie’s father and Cooter were furious!! He wanted the book thrown at Luke. Luke could hear the commotion upstairs. He expected at any minute Luther and or Cooter to storm down the stairs leading to the cells. What Luke didn't know was that it had taken both Troopers, Rosco, Dixie's pleading, and promises of their own arrests to convience them both to leave the jail. Cooter even told them at one point to arrest him and put him downstairs with Luke. When Peggy arrived downstairs, Luke was setting on the bunk Indian style. He had been staring at nothing replaying the nights events when he heard footsteps on the steps. He turned to look at Peggy as she asked Luke, "Do you want to make a call now?" "What time is it?" asked Luke. Peggy looked at her watch, "Three thirty." Luke shook his head, "Not now, there's nothing Jesse can do until morning anyway. Unless Luther wakes him now it will be better to call about five thirty, if that's Ok?" Peggy gave him a slight smile. "It will be fine. I'll let get the phone for you then." Luke knew no news was good news but had to ask, "I heard," he nodded towards the steps. "Did Trooper Mitchell change the charges yet?" he asked glummly. "He told Mr. Davenport what he charged you with. He also told him what you could be charged with, then he said he'd give him until tomorrow to think about it. For now they stand the same as he told you." Peggy explained. ################### DUE TO THE LENGTH OF THIS STORY I'LL BE STARTING THE NEXT POST ON "LUKE'S FIRST LOVE -- PART 3" I hope you all are enjoying this as much as I am writing it. I BET Jesse is going to be MAD at someone!!!!
  6. Nah, Jessi we're not after you!! We are just disagreeing with the servey! Dixie
  7. I agree Chet! At Duke Fest 04 they announced that the General Lee was the MOST recognized car WORLD WIDE! Dixie P.S. I bet people from all over the world don't travel thousands of miles to see the Batmobile!!
  8. Welcome Charger I LOVER THE CHARGER!!! It is great!!! Dixie
  9. Dixie was still confussed and nodded 'yes'. "Yeah. What's wrong with that?" At this point Luke almost passed out; he still remembers his knees going so weak he had to set down on the hood of the General to keep from falling. He had been preaching to Bo since before Bo turned 18 to ID any one before he even bought them a drink, to be really careful since the law was trying to bust them they could put someone up to setting them up. He had preached and preached! He had also thought he had been so careful in this area since he had been 18. “Sixteen….. Oh, ….. Hell.†Luke looked utterly defeated at this point, but managed to try to explain, "Ever heard the term 'jail bait?'." The wind was defintely out of his sails. Dixie replied honestly, "No? What are you all talking about?" Luke whispered, "Sixteen? not eighteen? What was with the Big Birthday?" Dixie was far to innocent to know what was wrong. She replied, "The eighth was a big Birthday. My sweet sixteen. Luke what is wrong?" The look that was on Luke's face was like none Dixie had ever seen on his face before. It was of sheer TERROR! The younger Trooper said, "Miss, you are under eighteen. He's over four years older than you. Which makes what was going on in that back seat when we came up very illegal for Mr. Duke here." Luke was scaring her and he knew it but it was all he could do right now to breath. His chest was tight. He felt numb all over and he was struggling to breath to keep from passing out. He had been so careful to not let this happen. For the two years he could buy beer he'd ever asked his dates to see their ID before he bought them a beer, now THIS! The young Trooper said in a voice of authority. "Mr. Duke on the car and spread 'um!" Before moving, Luke said to Dixie, "This is all my fault. Just remember that. Nothing that happened tonight was your fault. I assumed way too much. I wouldn't have changed a thing except I would have hoped I'd have waited until you were eighteen if I weren't such a jacka-- and assumed I knew everything." he finished the three quarters of beer in one drink as he slide off the hood. Trooper Mitchell said to Dixie, "Come on you can ride up front with me as soon as we get a wrecker out here." Luke now knew he certainly didn't want Mr. Davenport out here to tow the General Lee under these circumstances. He said, "I'll sign a waiver or whatever. Don't call a wrecker. Mr. Peabody and all of Hazzard know this car. It will be Ok here." The younger Trooper said, "Suit yourself!" As he began to frisk Luke who was spread eagle against the car. At the moment the Trooper placed the first handcuff on Luke, he got a glimpse of Dixie who was crying. Luke couldn't take the fact she was hurting like this and her crying tore him apart. He pulled away heading towards Dixie. Both Troopers turned their attention on Luke. Being a bit more skilled, Trooper Mitchell downed Luke. He had his left shoulder and arm behind his back and was putting pressure on it. Luke was still fighting. Trooper Mitchell applied more pressure as he said, "Calm down! I can, ...., and will, ......., break it!" he cranked the arm even harder. Finally Luke felt the pain above the adrenaline rush he had gotten when he saw Dixie crying and relaxed, letting the Trooper cuff him. Luke would be sorry of that move tomorrow when the moonshine wore off and his shoulder began to hurt.
  10. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Enos had his arm on Daisy's waist as she turned to see an older model red and white cabover Kenworth heading up the drive. She stepped forward letting Enos's arm fall. "Oh, my Lord!" was all the explaination she gave as she turned as pale as a sheet. The last time she had seen that rig she was only 16! ~~~~~~~~~~ Bo and Luke pulled up to the garage. Luke said to Jake as he entered the garage, "I know we told you and Bo, Jr. ya'll could drink tonight....." Jake sighed, "Your changing your mind?" Luke shook his head no. "Look, an old friend is in town. He used to be a Deputy here. He is the Sheriff's cousin and it would be just like him to see Sheriff Strate and fill in while in town. All I'm saying is don't just wallk in and grab a drink. He's going to the farm, then will be here. Let us feel him out, then we'll give you a thumbs up if its cool. If not ya'll will just have to be a little sneaky. He-- Dixie used to drink at the Boar's Nest often without it being known. Just ask her sometime." Jake felt better. At least Luke hadn't pulled the rug out from under him as his 'parents' often had. Luke still intended to let Jake do what he'd said though he might have to ask him to not be open about it. "Who's drink was she drinking?" Luke shrugged his shoulders, and said, "Usually mine, but sometimes Cooter's." Bo said, "You know Luke, if old Enos is going to be here, He--, he ain't never drank anything stronger than buttermilk and with plenty of room at the farm....." Luke shook his head at Bo, "Then Enos could drive you to the farm and stay there tonight." Bo smiled, "Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking!" "I still think she has you wrapped around her finger!" added Luke with a mischievous grin! "Just remember THIS was Dixie's idea!" he laughed. "That too will change, Cousin!" replied Bo. "We'll just have to see, huh?" said Luke. Bo, Cooter, Jake and LB reached for their wallets! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BJ McKay parked his rig next to the barn where it wouldn't block anyone and set the brakes with a hiss of air. Enos, Beth, Debbie, and Dixie watched, they knew she had been married to a truck driver and thought it must be LD! Daisy was at the rig when BJ jumped down. "BJ McKay! What on Earth are you doing here?" Unaware of Enos who had his eyes glued on Daisy, BJ hugged Daisy picking her up off the ground. Bear was out the truck window and jumping up and down on the roof of the tractor by the air horns where the upper windows were. "Would you believe I came to see you?" Daisy shook inside. She knew there was more to BJ's sudden appearance but would like to believe he told her the total truth with his 'opening line'. "Ah, no I wouldn't believe that's the only reason you're here. Otherwise, you'd have been here before now." She said as she honestly felt. BJ Let out a nervous laugh, "You haven't changed at all. You are still a breath of fresh air, Daisy." he paused, "I over heard a CB transmission about a bachelor party. Part of me hoped it wasn't for a groom for you, and since I was close to here, ...... I was still over a hundred miles out and the other part of me was bored. I came back to the call, asking who was the groom. I think it was Bo who replied, 'The one and only Lost Sheep One.' I came back to send my reguards. That's when Luke recognized my voice and invited me over, so here I am. I would like to escort you to the wedding that is if you don't have another fella or husband around here." Daisy blushed! She replied softly, "No, BJ, I don't have anyone." "You do now." he replied. Softly kissing her on the lips. ~~~~~~~~~~ Looking at the others, Beth cleared her throat, "Enos, there's coffee and pie in the kitchen." He hung his head slightly, "No thanks. I'm not hungry. I think I'll just run over and see my folks before the party. See ya'll later." He got in his rented car and drove away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ NARRATOR: At the garage the guys had gotten the garage cleaned. Well, cleaner than it had been in years for a garage that is! Bo said, "Ya'll I've got an errand to run. I'll be back directly." Knowingly, Luke and Cooter both offered, "Want us to go with or for ya?" Bo grinned, "Nope!" and was gone. He thought as he drove away. 'I get caught in this Camero Beth will kill me TWICE! Once for getting caught. Once for getting her Camero taken!' Luke laughed and said, "God, I hope he don't get caught with that STUFF in Beth's car!" Cooter said, "Man, you have GOT that right Buddyrow!" ~~~~~~~~~~ BJ was introduced to the others. Bo, Jr. asked when introduced, "So you are the friend Luke told me would be here. He said to give you these." It was a familiar set of keys that even Enos knew. "Luke said he'd arrange a ride for me back to town." BJ said. Dixie said knowingly to Bo, Jr., "He said to specifically give BJ THOSE keys?" Bo, Jr. answered, "That's what he told me. To get him unblocked and send him back with to town." BJ asked, "Unblock and send who?" It was Daisy who explained. "Sugar! That's the keys to the General Lee!" Dixie laughed, "I HOPE they don't think they may need him! Of course those two are lost without him!" BJ looked confussed. Daisy picked up on his confussion. "They were still working on the General Lee when you were here!" she exclaimed. "The General Lee would NOT be THAT car they were trying to put together to race on the track YEARS AGO?" BJ asked with a lot of doubt. "That's him! Let me introduce you to the old boy!" she took his arm as they headed to the barn. The General Lee had been parked out of sight. Daisy reached for the keys still in BJ's hand. He didn't seem impressed with the General's outer appearance, ....... he'd seen him being built and a paint job wouldn't change his mind. BJ pushed the button on the door handle to 'open' the door. He looked up questioning as Daisy threw her leg over the window seal. She started the General Lee and with a mighty roar they were off through the back field. She worked her way through the gears then Daisy spun the General for home, sliding back into the driveway. "Well?" "I'm impressed!", staed BJ. Cue Beth
  11. Jesse said, "Bo she's scared. I know her father wouldn't do anything to hurt her or the little one. You need to find out if she thinks she'll be Ok for the night at her house. It would seem for Mr. Smith to pull out of Hazzard totally that would take time, if that's the case we've got at least a few days." Bo wasn't so sure, "I just don't know. I know I'd sure feel better if she was at the farm." "Bo, there's the legalities to think of here. She said she though her Mother would sign for her to marry you. You know you don't even have to ask me. I'm all for you taking responsibility. Just promise me one thing. NEVER throw it in that girls face you were forced to marry her OR you will have me to deal with! Do you think her Mother would sign?" asked Jesse. Luke saw Cooter who had witnessed the exchange between Bo, Beth and Jesse. He also didn't miss Bo place what looked like a ring on her finger. He was motioning for Luke to come over. Luke interupted Bo and Jesse's talk, "Cooter is over there motioning for me. You know he and everyone else saw what went down over there. What can I tell him before I get cornered? Cue Beth
  12. LATER, Trooper Mitchell was riding with his young partner down on lake road where they had caught some 'kids' racing several months ago. The new State Trooper was very eager to make a name for himself. His lights hit a car parked in a meadow. He indicated this to his Senior partner, "What do you make of that?" Trooper Mitchell knew the car and was pretty sure what was going on but the young Trooper insisted on checking into it. The Senior partner replied, "You've probably got a couple kids making out. Lets go to the barn." The young trooper said, "Let's at least check it out." He was far to eager for Trooper Mitchell but was far enough in his training that Trooper Mitchell was giving him the lead in a lot of stops. As they turned, both Troopers recognized the General Lee with the windows (What little windows there were) fogged up. As Luke was kissing Dixie passionately he opened his eyes to the bright light of a flash light. "Sh--!" Luke sighed. Once she realized they had company Dixie gasped. The voice behind the flash light said, "State Police. Get out of the car." Now Luke was really cursing! He said, "Give us a second OK?" "Where are the car keys?" Another voice asked. He was afraid Luke was going to try to pull out. It was the voice of the younger Trooper who had been looking to get a 'feather in his cap' by arresting Luke the time before. Luke replied as he handed Dixie her clothing. "On the dash, I'll hand them to you." He was trying to buy some time. He reached for the keys and handed them to the Trooper that had the light. Luke covered Dixie the best he could while she got dressed, then he put on his jeans, took his shirt and boots with him as he got out of the car. He turned to help Dixie out of the car. Both of their appearances were a bit unorganized. After stepping into his boots Luke plopped on the hood of the General Lee as he bottoned his shirt and motioned for Dixie to take the seat beside him on the hood. She did and he wrapped his arm around her to comfort her. He whispered in her ear, "I told you there would be nights like this!" Luke had finished the last of the shine and had opened a beer prior to the Troopers arrival which he had in his hand and now took a drink. The new Trooper asked, "Have you been drinking?" Luke knew that they had him already for at least indecent exposure, but he just hoped he could talk Dixie out of trouble. So he decided to be honest with them. "Yes, I have been drinking but I didn’t intend to go anywhere until morning." The young Trooper, taking the lead, said, "You are treaspassing on private property. I need to see your license." Luke was more than peeved, as he handed him his driver's license. "I want to check the registration too." said the young Trooper. Luke replied, " Mr. Peabody has never complained about us being out here. It's over the driver's visor. I can save you the time." he said looking at Trooper Mitchell. "My license is valid with six points for racing. The registration will come back to myself and Bo Duke and expires April next year." Trooper Mitchell waved his hand. "Let him run it. It will give him something to do. He--, I'd never have stopped!" The younger Trooper returned. "Ok, your license checks out like you said it would. Can the young lady drive this home or do I need to call for a wrecker?" Luke didn't want a wrecker called. Knowing all He-- would break loose when Luther Davenport had to come and pick up Dixie from the Sheriffs office without finding her out here with him. He also knew that Cooter's Dad had the wrecker after midnight. Dixie had been drinking too. He figured to play it down, hoping they would just take her home so he lied. "Well, she can't drive a standard." The younger Trooper said to Dixie, "Well, just for the sake of knowing who's who here let me see your license." Dixie looked at Luke. She was shaking like a leaf. Luke replied with a sigh. This was becoming a very long night, "Go ahead give him your license." He took another drink of beer. The young Trooper asked, "Have you been drinking?" Luke answered for Dixie. "She's had a little to drink." Dixie handed her license to the young Trooper who wasted no time in going to run it. Luke asked Trooper Mitchell while the other Trooper was running Dixie's license. "I figure he's already stacking charges against me. Starting with Trespassing and Indecent Exposure which is fine. But, can we keep her out of this? Maybe just take her home or call her Dad and tell him I was racing again or something?" Dixie looked at him in utter disbelief. It had never crossed her mind that Luke would be charged for 'nothing'. He said only loud enough for her to hear, "I'm likely not going home tonight. .... I know that, ...., and it's OK. I'm just trying to get you home without charges." The older Trooper smiled for a brief second. "I'll do what I can to tame the 'eager beaver'." "I'd sure appreciate it." said Luke. He again sipped the beer. The young Trooper came back to the General Lee like the forrest was on fire, with his hand on the but of his gun, saying, "Duke, ..., get, ..... on, ....., the hood, ......, NOW!" Luke looked confused at the Senior Trooper. Luke was getting a bit disgusted at this point. "What is his problem?" he said getting off the hood of the General Lee still holding the beer. He was making all this fuss over a couple of misdemeanors? "Hoooawh! Calm down! What?" Trooper Mitchell said, “This is not really necessary.†He motioned to Luke to relax. The younger Trooper showed Trooper Mitchell the licenses he had in his hands indicating the information in question. Trooper Mitchell said showing his annoyance with the 'eager beaver', "I'll handle this! Luke is all your information correct here?" Luke sighed as he looked at his driver's license he'd seen and shown to every law enforcement person in the Tri-Counties. "Yeah, it's right. Why?" Trooper Mitchell just waved him off. "Miss Davenport is all your informaion correct?" Dixie checked her license. It took a minute to find her voice when she said, "Yes, Sir, it is. What's wrong?" Again, the Senior Trooper waved off her question. He handed Luke both driver's licenses, "Tell me the names and date of births on these. Luke read his license, "Lucas K. Duke, Jan. 10, 19?6." Trooper Mitchell said, "And the other one?" Luke read, "Dixie Lee Davenport, April 8, 19?0. So?" The Trooper saw Luke's confussion. "How old are you?" Luke replied a bit annoyed, "Twenty." "How old is Miss Davenport?" he asked. Luke replied very annoyed and very sure of himself, "Eighteen." Dixie shot Luke a confussed look. Trooper Mitchell said, "Look again. Do the Math. How old are you two?" Luke replied, "Jan. 10, 19?6, twenty. April 8, 19?0, eight .............." There was a long silence as Luke looked at Dixie. Dixie shook her head, 'No.' She was very innocent and confussed about what was so important about her age and what difference two years could make. Luke stared at both the driver's licenses before him for several minutes. He sighed loudly, and said while shaking his head, "I'll be a So@-#$-@-@%$($^& SIXTEEN?" Luke gasped almost unable to breath.
  13. By the time the boys were heading back to the garage the CB was 'hopping'. It seemed like everyone in the Tri-Counties had heard about The Bachelor Party. Over the CB the boys heard a radio transmission, "So where is this party happening?" Bo keyed the mic, "This is Lost Sheep Two to all you guys on the Hazzard Net. You are all invited to a Bachelor Party at the Hazzard Garage." From some where far away the radio crackled but was understood, "Break for Lost Sheep Two, just who is the groom?" Though the transmission had static in it Luke was sure he recognized that voice. As Bo replied, "That would be the one and only Lost Sheep One." The reply was heard much clearer as the transmitter turned up his power, "Well, now, you tell him Congratulations for me and I might just see you guys IF I can still remember how to get there. This is the Milwaukee Kid." The radio had Luke's full attention as he reached for the mic. "Milwaukee Kid this is Lost Sheep One! What's your twenty? and you had better remember your way here." Luke hadn't seen his buddy from Vietnam since he stopped by right after they had gotten home. "I'm about an hour away. Let me drop this load and I'll be over. Where can I park this little ride of mine?" he asked. Luke now had an idea. "There's plenty of room at the farm. I'll arrange transportation back to town for you and if you little buddy is with you I'll have him a beer waiting." The most un-natural sounds were heard across the radio. "He said he'd take you up on it!" Luke replied, "10-4, see you there." Cooter had to ask, "Who or what was that?" Luke had to tell, he couldn't keep it to himself any longer, "By the sound of it, that was his little buddy, Bear." Cooter looked at Luke, "Your going to give a bear a beer in my garage?" "Oh, no, I'd never think of giving a bear a beer in your garage. ....... Now, I might give a chimpanzee a beer in your garage." shrugged Luke. "Oh, well, then, that's different then." he paused, "Luke, ..... you are kidding aren't you?" "No." he said as he radioed for Bo, Jr., "Stormy do you have your ears on?" Bo, Jr. calls back, "Go ahead." "Can you go by the farm and move things around out there to get the General Lee unblocked? There is an old friend coming by. He's parking his ride there. Send the General Lee back to town with him. Oh, by the way, he'll probably need to park on the other side of the barn or he'll block the whole front yard." Luke said. Bo, Jr. replied, "I'll take care of it." Though he wondered just what his friend was driving that would take up more room than Luke's king cab truck. Cooter said as they got out at the garage, "Those women are down right smart suggesting this party tonight with the wedding day after tomorrow we'll have all day tomorrow to ..." Bo said, "Get the groom sobber?" Cooter said, "Well I was going to say it a little different but yeah!" Luke gave them both a dirty look. "Beth isn't expecting you home tonight is she? All I was told is that we couldn't go upstairs or we'd die!" Cooter said, "It's been a long time since we've 'camped' out here. We better get busy!" Luke noted Bo's silence. "Bo you know there is no way you can party and drive home. AND everyone else is intending to party too. So you need to let Beth know not to expect you tonight." Bo replied. Cue Beth
  14. What had went unnoticed to all but Mr.Smith in the heat of anger when he slapped Bo, was that both Jesse and Luke had silently stood up. Neither liked what Mr. Smith had done to Bo, though really couldn't blame him at least they understood his being upset. Bo had just dropped his head a might. He never uttered a single disrespectful thing to Beth's father. Bo and Mr. Smith had walked out toward the barn to have their 'talk'. What had cut Bo to the quick was that Mr. Smith had told him, where thankfully no one else had heard, was that Bo couldn't keep Beth in 'Cokes' let alone support her!' Bo was determined to prove him wrong! He kept hearing Mr. Smith say the same thing over and over. Bo clinched his fist again and again. It took a lot of effort to keep from hitting something, but then he realized that hitting something had caused him enough problems. After Mr. Smith left, Jesse watched Bo head for the barn. He had not heard any of their conversation but had stayed pretty close. He wasn't going to let anyone hurt his nephew on his property. The one slap, he'd given Bo, well, considering the circumstances, Jesse couldn't blame Beth's father, but also couldn't uphold him either. Several minutes after Mr. Smith left Jesse got up to go to the barn. Luke said, "I'll go." Jesse stopped him. "Not this time Luke. Let me handle this right now." Jesse walked into the barn silently. Bo was petting the mare. Jesse eased over to his side, saying, "I don't think she can hold up her end of the conversation." Bo turned to Jesse but couldn't look him in the eye. "Bo, I don't know what was said, out here, but I'll listen to anything you need to say." said Jesse. Bo just shook his head, unable to voice what had been said to him. After several minutes of silence, he said, "Do, .... you know, ..... how much Beth, ...... enjoys coming here?" his voice cracked. He was near tears because he was furious. Now, he looked at his Uncle, "I love her. I've always known her Father didn't care for me. He--, I thought it was, ..... maybe the others girls I dated or mine and Luke's reputations, ......" He let his voice trail off. He needed to talk this out but didn't want to hurt Jesse. "I now know what his problem is with me. And believe it or not, it doesn't have anything to do with the baby. Of course he wasn't happy about that either as you saw. But, he thinks he's better than US!" Bo continued, "I know what me and Beth did hurt him and changed his plans for Beth. I can take that. I can take his slap. I'll even take him hating ME!" Bo's voice was raising. "I will not take him looking down on my family or me." Jesse put his hand on Bo's shoulder. "For starters you need to be concerned with Beth and the baby. What ever he said was said in anger. If he does think he's better than us, that's Ok, too." Jesse moved to be in Bo's line of sight. "Remember the meek not the wealthy will inherit the Earth." "I know, Uncle Jesse, but it wasn't just what he said but HOW he said it." said Bo. His mind was racing. "I have half a mind to march right over there and bring Beth back here tonight." Jesse was very wise, "Do that and he'll have the law out there in no time. You would be on his property. Beth is his daughter and you are both under age." Jesse said in a calm voice, "Just give it a little time. He has to have time to adjust to what you just told him. Jesse looked at his pocket watch. Is Beth suppose to work tonight?" "Yeah, she works at 7." replied Bo. He didn't see Jesse's point. "Well, now that's still quiet awhile away." Jesse considered, "If you haven't heard from her by 6:30, Luke, you and me will ride to the Boars' Nest. If she's at work you can talk to her. We'll go from what she says then." Jesse saw the next question on Bo's worried face. "If she's not there, we'll just go find out why." Jesse Duke was trying to be calm about this, but he wasn't anyone to mess with when family was involved. The Dukes waited for Beth's call............. Cue Beth
  15. Luke knew when he entered the house Dixie 'wanted' something. He didn't know what but she wanted him to do something. He sighed when he saw her smile trying to look sweet and innocent. When she did this however, it had just the opposite effect, she looked very devious and caniving maybe even a bit wicked. Almost afraid to ask, Luke said, "What?" Dixie looked at him and smiled again, "Honey, ..... would you do just two more things for me?" Bo and Beth were about to die laughing at this point. Beth knew what Dixie wanted. Bo could only imagine. "You know I'll do anything for you, ..... but, I really don't want to try on anymore suits." Luke said. Beth nor Bo could contain their laughter any longer. "I swear." Dixie was laughing at the three of them so hard she herself was crying. "This will be the last one. I'm sorry I know I'm driving you crazy!" she said wiping a tear from her cheeks. "Are you sure you don't want to just drive over to Lake Chickmuhoney and do this nice and simple?" he said defeatly. She raised her eyebrows, "Lucas Duke those are fighting words! After I've gotten this far. You do realize I've only planned this since I was 15! It's hard to work all those years of planning this into just a couple of hours." He smiled at her, "What is the second thing AFTER I try on the next last suit?" he looked at Bo who was about to hyperventalate. "What are you laughing at? If I have another suit to try on I'm certain you do too!" "Huh?" Bo looked surprised. Beth simply glowed when she smiled and nodded 'yes' to him. Dixie said, "The other thing may be kind of hard." "Harder than trying on what, Bo, ten or twelve suits?" Luke asked. Bo shrugged, "I didn't bother to count." "Hush, both of you." Dixie smiled at the two but looked dead at Bo. "I want you to go to town get what ever you need Bo to through this cousin of yours, God help us, the best bachelor party in Hazzard WITHOUT us having to bail you out in the morning." she put her arm around Luke. "After Saturday you had better not even think of cating around." she said in a good natured way. "Call Cooter and the guys. I'm sure you can use the garage or the barn. We promise to stay clear and keep the kids away, but I don't think the Boar's Nest can handle this but it's up to you guys!" Bo said, "Yeehaww! Yes, Mamm! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the suits were tried on Bo and Luke headed outside to go to town. The way everyone was parked the only easy vehicle to get out was Dixie's Aspire. Luke said hang on. He went back in the house. "Honey, without having to move half the vehicles in Hazzard the only thing not blocked is yours." Dixie grabbed her keys from the hook. She hesitated for a split second, then said, "Honey, don't try to out run the Sheriff in it. It's only got a four cyclinder in it." Luke laughed, "I'll take good care if it." "Sweetheart, it's not the car I'm worried about. It needs a little work. Just be really careful the front end is really 'loose'." she warned. Dixie had not wanted to bother Luke with her car problems with everything else going on. She knew enough about cars to know it needed work. Something was certainly wrong with the suspension. Luke smiled, "Gotch ya!" Outside Luke and Bo drove down the driveway. Luke had no more than hit the road to town when he felt the streering. Everytime he hit a bump the whole front end moved in different directions. He slowed WAY down. Bo asked, "What are you doing?" "She said it needed work, but I'm not sure it will hold together until we get to the garage." said Luke. "What's wrong with it?" asked Bo. Luke looked a bit concerned. "I dont' rightly know. Dixie said the front end was really loose, but this is rediculious!" In town the garage door was open. Luke never stoopped just pulled into the garage where he could put it on a rack. When Luke got out and walked to the racks controls, Cooter yelled from the back. "Yeah, just come on in and make yourself at home!" "Funny." said Luke. Bo just shrugged. "Dixie told him the front end was loose, but it feels like it will fall apart anytime!" "You don't say." said Cooter now getting interested. Once in the air, Luke shook the front end. He and Cooter both said "Wholly sh--!!!" Luke grabbed a lug bar, took off the hub cap, then got the air gun and removed the driver's tire. In less than a minute he knew the ball joints were about to fall apart. "I dont' know what has kept this thing together." Cooter went to the phone to call around for parts. Bo said, "While you're looking for parts I'm going to work on the 'mission' I was given!" Luke called over his shoulder, "Yeah, just leave at a time like this!" Bo laughed. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Cooter returned to Luke who was still trying to figure out just what had held the little car together this long. "Bad news! You can't get 'balljoints' for this car. It's all made into a 'lower control' arm. They my friend are 'dealer parts'." "Can you get them?" asked Luke. Cooter said, "Oh, yeah. I can get them from Ford. They are two hundred plus each!" Luke replaced the tire. "Run us back to the farm. I'll park this out back and we'll deal with it later but Dixie isn't going to drive this until WE get it fixed. She knows better, that thing isn't safe. He--, I was scared driving it. No wonder she didn't bring it in until this trip. Come to think of it. She rode in with you or Debbie until she came in for good. Did she say anything to you about it needing work?" Cooter shook his head, "Nah, she just said she didn't see any point in bringing two cars." Luke shook his head. "Her and her stubborn pride." "That's my sister!" replied Cooter. ~~~~~~~~~~ Bo replied, "I've got everything ready. Pull the car over across the street." Luke said, "I'm parking the car on the side here. Cooter is taking us back to the farm." Bo had been married for the better part of twenty years. He asked in a concerned voice, "Luke are you sure about this. It IS Dixie's car." "I'm sure I don't want to drive it like that and I DA-- sure don't want Dixie to drive it like that!" Luke said, "Cooter see if you can find some good used parts or something. That thing is dangerous." Cooter looked at Bo, "It's your life." Luke replied, "And I intend to be here to live it. Something pop on that front end and it's going where it wants to." Bo told Cooter, "I was sent to get things as Dixie said, 'for the best bachelor party in Hazzard'. Tell all the guys that we are throughing a bachelor party for Luke tonight, at ........." Cue Beth
  16. I have worn glassess and contacts since Jr. High. I may have been a geek in some peoples book but I did everything in school from band to Girls State and Honor Society. The bunch i hung around with were considered snobs but there really was snobs in our class that we'd not associate with. We considered ourselves the 'Rebels' of the class. So I guess I fit in OK. I am not blonde but I do have a brain -- though I didn't apply myself like my father may have wanted ( I had fun!) -- 54 th out of 204 was fine by me. I have enough credits for 2 years in college though I don't have the needed classes for a degree since I switched fields. My parents died when I was 11 and 22. EVERYTHING I have I have because I earned it. Fair, square and legal. I have had two husbands and raised three children. I have also worked myself into a position where I work where I'm 4th in command. Since the first of this year I have recieved a raise of $185 per month. Kitty, if you or anyone else think I'm a geek then that's YOUR opinion. I agree with Mary Anne THERE IS NO WAY IN HE---!!!!! EITHER TOM WOPAT OR JOHN SCHNEIDER are or ever have been a GEEK! They have both came a long way from where they started and gotten there by hard work. Though DOH is still going strong NEITHER has set on their DUFF -- they both still continue to work. Tom has worked from a dairy farm to Braodway. Baby if he can't make it in REAL life without the aid of contacts or glasses PLEASE send him MY NUMBER I"LL BE OK SO GLAD TO LEAD HIM ANYWHERE HE NEEDS TO GO! Oh, and by the way if his eyes are SO BAD he couldn't wear contacts!!! DIXIE PS, I fell better now!
  17. Beth's parents were setting on the porch swing when Bo parked the General Lee. Luke had agreed to shift the gears so Bo could drive home. Luke really didn't feel like driving anyway. Bo said, "Thanks, Luke. At least that kept my mind of things for a few minutes." "Come on, maybe I can get you inside without having to play the host." said Luke. Bo did not want to get trapped alone on the porch with Beth's parents at this point. Luke gathered their coats and ties as he got out of the car. He handed Bo his things. Luke spoke to Beth's parents, nudged Bo to speak which he did, then Luke said to Daisy who was bringing out glasses of ice tea, "We'll be right out as soon as we hang this stuff up." He continued to push Bo through the door. Once in their room Bo said, "Thanks. You know I don't know if I can do this." Luke said gently, "You have to. You can't expect Beth to do it. AND you don't want Jesse to have to tell them." Bo turned on Luke, "Just what do you know about it?" Luke took his cousin's outburst in stride knowing Bo wasn't yelling at him but himself. "Bo if you want her father to respect you as a man that will take care of his daughter, then your going to have to be a man and stand up to him." Bo fumed, "What kinda of a man did it take to ...." Bo almost spit the word, " 'USE' Angie last night? You know I'm really not liking the person you have become since you and Robin broke up." Bo was looking for an arguement. Much to Bo's surprise Luke replied, "You know Bo, ...... you are absolutely right! And I haven't liked myself too much for it lately either." While Bo was still in shock at what Luke had said. Luke gently moved him to the bedroom door. "This isn't getting you anywhere. We'll talk more about me later." Luke had hopes of getting into the kitchen for another cup of coffee before all He-- broke loose. It only took a sideways glance at the kitchen to know he'd be run out before he even got through the door. Daisy and Beth were in the kitchen helping Jesse who unlike the younger generation had started preparations for today last night while they were all out partying. The girls set up a picnic table outside for lunch. Jesse had warmed the fried chicken and mashed potatos, and made gravy. He had made several pies before leaving for church. Daisy and Beth had also taken pitchers of tea and lemonade to the table. When everyone was called to the table Luke managed to get in the kitchen and bring out the coffee pot and several cups. The glare Jesse shot him went unnoticed by their guests but not the family. Jeb being the clown almost cracked up which got Coy and Vance started which got all of them a look from Jesse. Once he managed to get them quiet Jesse said grace. The meal was enjoyed by all though Bo felt like he'd choke on each bite as it went by the lump in his throat. Daisy and Beth cleared the dishes and brought out the pies and a fresh pot of coffee. Beth was trying to stay as busy as she could. Though Beth was shaking like a leaf she couldn't help but notice how relaxed her parents looked. She had never seen her Mother have a picnic let alone have Sunday dinner outside before. As everyone finished up their pie, the youngers ones were getting restless. Coy asked, "May we be excused?" Jesse suggested, "Why don't we all go get comfortable on the porch where it's a bit cooler." Coy sighed but took the hint. Jeb wasn't happy but went, too. Bo, Beth and Luke were hanging back quiet a bit. Luke tried to be encouraging, "It will all be over in a few minutes." Bo said only loud enough for Luke to hear, "You mean my life being over. That helps there cousin." Cue Beth
  18. Capt_Redneck Yeah, I know it's not possible the way the races are run now for other drivers to win 201 races. Richard Petty is the 'King' not just because of his wins but because of his contributions to the sport. I have never met him but have met Kyle. Yet, I have been to two races when Richard was running. One being his last race in Atlanta, as well as the Alabama concert the night before. Richard ran season for the fans. I could be wrong but this is just my opinion which may not be a very popular one. Now, I'm sorry I never like Earnhart, Sr. -- to me he just had more important things than his fans. At Atlanta that year he was in his personal car wanting out the gate before all the cars were off the track. NASCAR is what it is because of the drivers, yes. But if it weren't for us watching them drive you'd not have a sport. From the way the qualifying is going in Daytona it will be interesting tomorrow no matter who your driver is! Dixie
  19. LOL Dixie! PS still say Blondes don't have more fun!!!!!!!!
  20. AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! When your driver -- who ever he is wins 201 call ME!!! LOL Dale Sr. may have 7 championships but i snowhere near the 201 wins!!!!!!!! Sorry! Dixie
  21. LOL Nothing like seeing acousin in trouble!!!!!!!! Dixie PS Glad it's not Luke this time!!!!!!!!!
  22. Everyone in Hazzard enjoyed a quiet prospourous holiday season. The moonshine business was very good that year with little trouble from the law. By Jan. Luke was no longer a teenager he turned twenty on Jan. 10, 19?6. In Early April Dixie had her big birthday celebration. It was celebrated with a pizza party followed by the entire bunch going to Placid County to go roller skating. Easter school break was also toward the end of April. Everyone had a touch of Spring fever. They all headed out to the lake for a bit of racing. No one paid much attention to Luke giving Dixie a ride out. Now with two convictions of racing and several points on his license Luke decided to let Bo race the General tonight. He gave the General Lee a once over. As before, Dixie and Luke watched several races. Dixie had planned to stay with Daisy tonight unknown to Jesse. She now vertually didn't have a time to be in. Her Dad knew she was staying with Daisy. By Jesse not knowing she planned to stay so he'd not pay any attention if Daisy beat her home. The night progressed without any law showing up. Though Bo had raced the General Lee several times it was Luke's turn to drive him home. Bo had finally gotten around to dating Beth steadily. Most everyone was heading off on their own to take the long way home tonight. Luke 'volunteered' to take Dixie home as Cooter had 'plans'. "I'm going to just make sure this fire is out." Luke called. Dixie said a bit nervous, "That was slick." As everyone else pulled out on there way home. Luke just smiled. He did make sure the fire was out then suggested riding down to the lake. He pulled the General Lee down into an open meadow that was just off the dirt road where they had raced. Luke asked, "Are you in any hurry to get home?" Dixie replied, "No, not at all." Luke said, "Good." He went to the trunk of the car and took out a a partial Mason jar of moonshine that he had been sipping on all evening. Luke placed the car keys on the dash, fixed him a glass of shine which Dixie was also sipping on. Luke was figuring on staying out until almost dawn then drifting the General Lee into the drive. He and Dixie would sneak in before Jesse got up. He and Dixie talked about all sorts of things for quiet some time. Luke poured the last of the shine into their glass and tossed the Mason jar to the bushes. As he turned around Dixie had move into the back seat of the General Lee, she said innocently, "There's more room back here." Luke cleared his throat before saying, "Well, yes there is. Are you sure?" Dixie smiled, "I am very certain, ........, there is more room back here." she said slowly. Luke didn't need a second invitation to join her in the back seat...............
  23. The Magistrate hearing the case just happened to be the one who set the 'boys' bond. 'Bob' spotted Dixie and Debbie and asked, "What are you all doing here?" Dixie answered, "Well, Bob, I've finally come home to marry my high school sweetheart IF you don't put him in jail and ruin my plans. I have a security tape I'd like you to see from the Boar's Nest before you continue this hearing?" Bob smiled. "Where's the tape?" Dixie handed him the tape. "Come on in the other room where we can all watch this." said the Magistrate. After watching the tape he asked the Dukes, "How do you want to plead?" As usual, it was Luke who answered for the bunch. "Not guilty." Bob smiled. "In everything I can see here Sheriff Strate, these guys are innocent. I find them not guilty and will free the hold on their farm." Bob looked at his watch. "The next hearing on the others is at 1pm. I'll see you back here then Sheriff. Court is adjorned!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Outside the court room the Dukes, family and friends were estastic! Luke asked, "Darlin' how well do you know Magistrate Potter?" She smiled, "I send him coffee every weekend he works. Why?" Luke replied, "I hope you keep doing it here." He kissed her. She said moments later, "Always!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With the Court hearing over and the guys got out of trouble without so much as a fine all they had to worry about was the upcoming wedding!!!! Cue Beth
  24. HE said it I swear!! Luke told ME!!! She tells him he's under arrest. Luke and Waylon advised maybe it was his technique????? LOL Care to comment Beth????? LMAO!!!!!!!!! Dixie
  25. After collecting the prize money the drivers stopped at the Boar's Nest for a beer. A young girl with a pony tail ran up to Cooter, "That was Great! Do you all race like that often?" Cooter hugged his sister, Dixie. "Every weekend. AND Hello to you too!" Luke and Angie walked up to Cooter. Luke said, "Cooter I really appreciate you helping me the other night with the General Lee." "Well, next time I think I may not want to help you quiet so well!" replied Cooter sacrastically since he'd come in second to the General Lee. Luke just grinned at him, then said, "Hey, who's your friend?" It had been years since Luke had seen Dixie as a child. Cooter asked, "Don't you remember Dixie? I told you she might come spend the summer with us." "That's right you did. Kiddo, I'd not have recognized you at all if I'd seen you somewhere else. You sure have grown up. Cooter let me at least buy you a beer." "I'll let you buy me a couple since I have a throat full of the General's dust." Luke, Angie and Cooter headed inside as Dixie talked with Daisy. Bo and Beth just watched all their friends headed inside. Cue Beth
