  1. Bo was laying on his bed on his back, his head flopped over the end so he was looking at Luke upside down as well as the math book Luke was trying to show him. He really didn't care whether you had to do to the numbers to get the answer, but trying to get Luke to give up on him was always a challenge, and it was rare Bo Duke ever backed away from a challenge....less it was a homework one, that didn't count. "Doesn't make any sense, why can't you do it the other way around?"
  2. Bo grinned as he swallowed down some sandwich, winking a little. "Well it takes a lot of practise...." He commented with a chuckle, heading back into the lounge to sit next to Luke, passing him one of the sandwiches as well. "Course, it took a lot more to raise Luke's...although there was one time I really managed it that I can remember. You rarely gave up on me Luke but there was this one time...."
  3. "Well I know that! It was delibrate! If I was ornery then eventually anyone who was tryin t'teach me would just give up and i'd not have t'do it! I had a plan!" Bo retorted back with a smirk, eating some more sandwich.
  4. Bo nodded, going to the kitchen to get a drink, picking up one of the sandwiches that Daisy had made. "I never liked any of my teachers....not even Luke."
  5. Bo chuckled with a nod. "Boy do I remember....was one of the rare occasions you got the woodshed 'stead of one of us two..."
  6. Bo shook his head a little, smiling to himself. Too many times had he skipped school with Luke, and while Luke didn't really get into trouble for it Bo was always the one who got the phone call home. He wasn't exactly stupid, he just wasn't academic. He didn't want to sit in a boring old classroom and learn different ways to do things with numbers he would never again use in his life. He didn't want to be forced to sit and read boring books, he didn't want to be forced to figure out the equation for time, distance and space. All he had ever cared about was racing, cars and girls. Once or twice he had even been bold enough to tell Jesse and Lavinia that....hadn't ended well of course but he had been bold enough to tell them. "Oh come on...you two were better than me at any rate. All I ever heard from my teachers was Why can't you be more academic like your cousins. You might have skipped school Luke but yer grades were high enough to be compared to."
  7. Bo shut the picture album carefully and returned it to the shelf just as carefully. There were very few things that the Dukes owned, but the photo albums were the most prized out of all of them. He'd give up everything if he could keep the photo albums that held the pictures of their life, people they had lost and memories he had forgotten that others could tell him about. Chuckling a little he turned back to look at his cousins, shaking his head. "Course.....when it came t'school there weren't hardly anyone I listened to..."
  8. Bo smiled a little at that, more than anything he had always wanted to make his Uncle and his Aunt proud of him. Through his life they were the only parents he had ever known and to him there was no one else better suited to raise him. As long as they were proud of him, as long as he did right by them then that was all he was worried about. "She'd be proud of you too Luke....and Daisy."
  9. Bo chuckled, shaking his head. "Now that ain't entirly true...I listened and did what you said when it really really mattered..." he countered back with fondness. He would always listen to Luke when there was something important on the line they needed to do. He trusted Luke to lead him to do the right thing although now he was starting to be able to do it himself.
  10. Bo shrieked with childish laughter, wriggling in Luke's arms hard before resorting to putting more bubbly hand prints all over Luke. In his hair, on his face, on his clothes...anywhere he could slap his little hands he did.
  11. Bo looked up at him, giggling before shaking his head and slapping his hand gently on Luke's face, creating a child sized, bubbly hand print on his face....which in turn prompted a fit of childish giggles from the little boy.
  12. Bo walked with Luke as he led him to the bethroom, still chattering on about his ant...what he'd call it, how long it would live, what he would feed it. He didn't care no one was listening, he was quite happy just chattering about it to himself, not stopping until they reached the bathroom and he had to stop to concentrate to get up on the stool. Watching as Luke squeezed the soap into his hands, he giggled and rubbed his hands together....creating a bubbly lather...before clapping his hands together gleefully and making them fly all about the bathroom and into Luke's hair. "Wheee!!"
  13. "Almost, why dont you three go get yerself washed up?" Lavinia said with a smile to them, just putting the last few bits on the sandwiches. "Auntie! I founded a liddle ant, I founded lots of liddle ants and one cwaled up my arm and it tickled and it was liddle but Wuke made me put it back."
  14. Bo nodded a little, putting his other finger by the ant and watching as it crawled onto it before moving it back to the tree with its family. Dusting himself off, he stood up with a grin. "Can you swing by yerself Daisy? You's bigger dan me so you could swing by yerself!"
  15. Bo looked up with a grin on his face as Luke spoke to him, not really hearing what his older cousin was saying. He held up his little finger with the ant on it. "Lookit! Lil' bug! It's liddle like me!" He shrieked happily, his eyes going a little cross eyed as he watched the ant start to make his way up his arm. "Tickles..."
  16. Bo giggled as he put his finger on the bark of the tree, watching with glee as one of the little ants crawled onto his finger and started to march solidly along his finger.
  17. Bo however didn't hear, way too absorbed in the more interesting task of following the chicken all the way to the tree in the yard....where instead he then became fascinated with the little ants making their way up the tree.
  18. Bo meanwhile was off happily following the chicken on its trail across the farmyard. He'd always been interested in the strange birds, liking the way they scattered as he ran through their little group. However sometimes he just liked to watch them and giggle at how they ate their food off the ground and how they waddled around.
  19. Bo grinned as he watched them both, gripping his toes gently as he wriggled them in his shoes. However, like most 4 year olds he soon lost interest and found a new interest in one of the chickens that made its way across the barn floor, picking at grains of feed. Clapping his hands, he slid off the hay bale and followed it.
  20. Bo toddled over to a hay bale and pulled himself onto it, settling down to watch Daisy and Luke have a turn on the rope. Swinging his little legs a bit, he felt a little disappointed that he was being left out but he wouldn't say anything. He knew the importance of sharing and taking turns...it was just hard when someone wanted to share his time with Luke.
  21. When they finally reached the ground, Bo slid down his older cousin, jumping with gless as his feet hit the floor, laughing and clapping happily. "Again! Again!" he shrieked, his blonde curls bobbing up and down as he bounced. (CUE BL Davenport)
  22. Bo yelled happily with him as they swung through the air, the wind whipping through his blonde curls as he kept a white knuckled grip on his older cousin. He laughed happily and would have clapped with glee if he wasn't holding on so tight. As much as he was looking forward to the day he would be big enough to do this himself, a large part of the little 4 year old wanted for Luke to do this with him always.
  23. Bo clung to Luke as Luke moved around like a baby monkey clinging to its mom. He trusted Luke unconditionally and would usually do near anything the older boy told him to. Grinning he nodded enthusiastically as Luke asked if he was ready, bouncing a little in excitement as he waited for Luke to make the jump that would send them sailing through the air together. "Yeah yeah yeah! Go go go!"
  24. Bo grinned widly and hurried over to him, near jumping up at Luke to get into his arms. His aunt had deeply instilled in him already how much he could help someone by giving them a hug...it was something the little 4 year old took very seriously. Besides that, he also liked getting hugs in return so it was something he readily gave, more when he wanted one than when the other person did.
