Bo sighed and shook hs head, even with the brotherly bond that he and Luke had always shared he couldn't even sense if his cousin was still with them or not. Every night he prayed and pleaded with Luke to come back and save him....every night he wept silently for his older cousin who he had hurt....of course he hadn't meant to, he would never hurt Luke on purpose....but all evidence they had against him pointed otherwise....and it all had conviently been easy to find....

Bo shifted only a little as the Doc started but made no other move than that, keeping deadly still. Daisy too went with Luke until the proceedure was done and very nearly burst into tears herself at the sight of the tubing now in Bo's nose....she felt so sorry for him and a part of her was whispering that it would be so much eaisier on him just for him to die....

The drug started to take effect almost immidiatly, Bo's eyes practically falling closed within a minute. He went limper and limper in Luke's arms until eventually he was completly resting against him. Daisy helped Luke to ease Bo into lying and then waited for more instructions from the Doc, gently squeezing Luke's shoulder,

Bo refused to look at anyone, only ducked his head knowing that whatever he said wouldn't make any difference anyway, they would do what they thought they had to.... Daisy sighed and looked up at Luke and then the Doc, wondering what was going to happen....she would help whatever they needed to do, determined to help Luke as much as Bo to cope.... Cooter smiled as B.L fell asleep and settled back to get some rest himself.

Daisy swallowed and went over to sit with Bo and Luke, watching Bo for a moment but when he didn't protest to her telling Luke she continued. "Luke....those nightmares he has....everytime he has them they're always the same....we're all tied up with the guys who held him hostage....and they point a gun at each of us but....but it's always you who gets shot and Bo's kinda....frozen, held back from helping you until its too late and....each time you....you die in his arms luke then someone tries to take you away from him....that's why he won't sleep....'cause....oh Luke it has to be awful seeing that over and over even though you know it aint real!" Bo shuddered in Luke's arms as Daisy started talking and clamped his hands firmly over his ears, his eyes wide open and staring at the wall. Cooter remained holding B.L. gently soothing her into sleep as best he could...

Bo choked and huddled further into himself. He didn't want anything done to him, he wanted to be left alone.....just left alone to live out whatever time he had left. "Neither....don't do neither....s'up to me and i don't want neither so just leave me alone!" Cooter sighed and hugged B.L. a little tighter as they pulled into the Davenport Farm driveway. he gently led her into the farmhouse and put her to bed, gently rocking her and soothing her like he had done when she was a little kid.

As soon as Luke let go, Bo wrapped his own arms protectivly round himself, curling up as much as he could in order to protect himself as much as he could from the Doc. He shook his head, trembling, feeling very much like a scared little kid once more. "Just...don't make me Luke.....don't make me...." Cooter nodded and kept his eyes on the road. "I Know....your braver than me....i couldn't even bare to go in the room.....god knows what this is really doing to luke inside his head...."

Bo had no choice but to let Luke hold him against his chest, although he still slightly wriggled his hands from Luke's grasp, very much fearing that the Doc would be sneaky and slip the drug into his arm while Luke was holding him. He knew it was pointless but he tried once more, hiccuping as he spoke pleadingly. "Luke....please don't make me sleep Luke....tol' Daisy....please don't make me sleep....please....." Daisy bit her lip at the mention that she knew what was wrong with Bo, knowing Luke would be quizzing her the first oppertunity she got. Cooter drove off down the road, putting one arm out and pulling B.L. close. "Shhhhh....alright B.L.....just let it outt...."

Bo shook his head and squeezed his eyes shut again, trying once more to pull his arms out of Luke's grip to cover his face with them. "I don't want ta go ta sleep.....don't want the tube....I don't want to live like this...." Cooter shook his head and guided her outside and into the wrecker. "B.L....they need each other right now and what good are ya gonna be ta them all wore out? Your coming home and that's final, I'll go back in a while once yer settled and see if they need help, but right now you have ta get some proper rest and food."

Normally Bo would have laughed but now it was just too much to bare knowing he depended so much on a guy he didn't even trust no more. "Luke help me get away....please luke don't let him do it...please don't let him do it...." Daisy felt so sorry for Luke....knowing that Luke had no choice but to let the doctor do it.... Cooter sighed and picked B.L. up, guiding her down the hall. "C'mon now, i think you need to come home fer a while. They'll let ya know if anything happens...."

Daisy watched as Luke quickly took charge, all to glad that he was here even though she knew he needed time alone. Bo sobbed and tried to jerk his hands away, trying to get them free. "Luke let go of me! Let go of me, I gotta get away....gotta get from him!" He weakly tried once more to pull hard against Luke's grip, even though it was proving useless.

Cooter sighed and got quickly to his feet, hot on the heels of Luke and B.L. but stopping short of the bedroom door, unsure as to whether Bo would actually want him to see him like this. Daisy fought back tears as Bo screamed and turned away from her. She got off the bed to let Doc near and gasped as he swung out at the Doc, his arms covering his face. "Get away from me! i don't want you near me!" Daisy gasped and said firmly "Bo!"

Bo looked at the Doc disbelievingly, slowly shaking his head. The doc had promised.....no more needles, no more drugs....but here he was going against his word....he didn't trust him anymore....there was no way he was getting anywhere near him.... "No.....no you can't do that....you're not doing that I won't let ya....Daisy tell him he can't....tell him Daisy please...." Daisy bit her lip, knowing Bo was terrified of sleeping now and also of the feeding tube. She looked down to him and shook her head. "Bo i can't.....its for yer own good hunny....I'm sorry Bo..." Bo squeezed his eyes shut and turned his head away, screaming out loud. "NO YOU WON'T DO IT! YOU CAN'T! YOU LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Bo hadn't heard anything of hia family since the accident all those years ago. He didn't know if Luke had woken up, didn't know if his family ever wanted to see him again but judging by the lack of visits then he guessed that they didn't.... But what Bo and also the rest of the duke family didn't know was that Boss' scheme was more than to just put one of the duke's behind bars....it was also to break up that troublesome family so he could have his way with hazzard county without them pocking their noses in. he hadn't meant for Luke to get so hurt, he had just gotten in the way at the wrong time....but he knew that if Bo was kept away from his family, made to think they hated him for what had happened, then the Dukes would be no more.....

Cooter nodded and pulled out from under the engine, his usual grin at finishing a job gone at the sound of Luke's voice and the way he looked like he was about to fall over. "Luke....you alright buddy roe...." He quickly stepped over to him and took his arm in order to make sure he didn't fall over. The last think anyone needed was for Luke to collapse on them. Bo and Daisy looked over to the Doc, Daisy of course not knowing what the heck was going on. she swallowed and gently asked the Doc... "D'ya want me to leave?"

Cooter stood up straight and glanced to B.L, practically begging her to think of something else to distract luke before he turned to him. "That sound alright to you buddy roe?" Jesse sighed and rested his head against the headboard. Bo was right, he was being turned into a human pin cushion....that wasn't how he wanted Bo to pass on feeling like.....but then again if they could get some nutrients into him then he might not pass on at all.....although deep down he didn't really believe that. He scrubbed a hand tiredly down his face and stood up. "I got chores ta do....call me in if ya need anythin'..." with that he stood up, grabbing his red cap and headed out the door...

Cooter raised his eyebrows slightly at B.L, showing he didn't believe her at all. He knew though that he couldn't stall Luke for much longer, him being the great mechanic he was he knew that Luke knew he should have had it done by now.... Jesse shook his head and sighed. "You plannin' on insertin' the tube while he's awake or are ya gonna....drug him again...." Meanwhile, Daisy and Bo had been having a talk....Daisy had finally got bo to open up about his nightmares and inside she was shocked and heartbroken at what she had found out...she needed to tell Luke but didn't want to leave Bo or get Luke in here to tell him in front of Bo's face....

Cooter turned his head slightly to B.L, pretending to listen to the engine but smiling gently at her. He could see that all this had taken its toll on B.L. and he only wished he had found out sooner so he could have been of more help. Jesse shook his head. "Not unless ya got somethin' for an old achin' heart that's about ta lose one of it's most prized possesions...."

Cooter nodded and took the screwdriver. "Alright Buddy roe, you stand there and tell me when ya think its there..." This would allow him to keep Luke there but also make sure they were tuning the engine for a looooong time... Jesse nodded and sat up on his bed. "Just fine....needed a rest is all."

Cooter frowned and ducked inside. "No...needs some tweaking....come here and take a listen yerself...." Bo snuggled wearily into Daisy, hiccuping slightly as he calmed down a little. "Thanks Daisy..." Daisy smiled. "S'alright Bo....you just rest up..."

Bo nodded greatfully, biting his lip hard in order to stop himself crying out as the Doc touched the welt. "Better....thanks Doc...." Daisy held Bo gently in her arms, gently stroking the side of his face and wiping the tears that flowed from his eyes still away. Cooter nodded. "Sure thing B.L, c'mon Luke let's get to it."

Bo nodded and looked over to the Doc. "Can ya....can ya check my back...it really hurts..." Cooter nodded and searched the engine frantically with his eyes for a moment before looking over to Cooter. "Uh Luke....we need ta do the timing first or we'll never get it done....may as well, Bo seems ta be sleepin' anyhow and we're already here...."

As he looked out the window and saw his cousin working with B.L and Cooter on the General he did give a small, but disheartened smile. Luke was doing as he had asked and was starting to live his life again. He let out a small cry as he was lowered back into the pillows, the welt on his back being scraped against the freshly re-wrapped bandages. The water had made it sore again and the skin was stiff around it. He let the tears from his eyes fall and asked gently. "Why won't they stop.....Daisy why won't they stop....the nightmares....everytime I close my eyes Luke dies all over again....I just want it all to stop Daisy I just want it all to stop...." Daisy choked back a sob and wrapped Bo in her arms gently rocking him and stroking his hair. "Oh Bo....I know and so do I.....if I could take this all away from you I would Bo....oh god I would...."

Cooter nodded and, seeing Luke so focused, put his finger to his lips. He just hoped that by the time Luke snapped out of whatever state he was in then Bo would have been settled back down again. Daisy nodded and resumed her position on the edge of the bed, gently smoothing the hair away from his forehead again and leaning close so he could hear her. "Bo....Bo it's Daisy now ya have to listen to me sugar.....Listen good now....Luke ain't dead Bo....Luke's outside working with the General..." Bo huddled further into the pillow, although his grasp on it was weaker than it had previously been. "Bo I promise ya.....Bo you's got a pillow in yer arms, it ain't Luke....s'just me and the Doc in here with ya...." He whimpered softly and mumbled again, his eyes still firmly squeezed shut. "No....Daisy they shot him....I didn't save him...." Daisy bit her lip, thinking of a new way to approach this. "Bo....it looked like they shot him sugar, but they didn't. He's still alive and all ya have to do is open yer eyes so I can show ya....ya trust me don't ya...." "Daisy....Daisy don't leave...." "I'm not gonna leave Bo.....you just open them eyes so I can show ya what's really happenin'....c'mon now Bo....." She waited with bated breath as Bo fell silent and anxiously looked to the doctor thinking that she had made things worse, but eventually she heard her name whispered again and she looked down to find Bo with his eyes open, still clinging for dear life to the pillow, but looking at her with tears in his eyes.

Daisy nodded and sighed again, not knowing even though she had suggested it how in the world to wake Bo up... The General was parked fairly close to the house, and Cooter stopped working but kept his head down as he heard a cry come from inside, knowing who it would be. He glanced over at Luke, who didn't appear to have heard it and then to B.L. If any one of them went indoors Luke would know something was up...
