  1. Daisy sighed in relief and gently removed the restraints, hearing Bo whimper a little but Luke also instantly shushing him quietly. Rubbing his painful wrists gently to get the circulation flowing a little better, she started speaking soothingly too.
  2. Daisy watched from the sidelines as Luke swiftly calmed Bo down and noticing for the first time why Bo would feel like he was being hurt again. Swallowing, she reached to the covers and gently pulled them back away from Bo's arms, stuttering out Luke's name gently. "L...Luke....why....look what they's done..." Pointing, she gently pointed out the restraints on Bo's wrists that were attatched to the bedrails and moved the covers on his ankles too to reveal them there as well.
  3. Bo recognized instantly the soothing tone in Luke's voice that he had heard so frequently as a youngster when he was locked in some awful nightmare. Bo hadn't been a particularly scardy-cat kid, in fact he was one of the most outgoing youngsters who was willing to try anything, so no one really understood why he had gotten so many nightmares...the only thing they knew was that Luke was the one that was always there and his soothing tone was the only one that worked, as it did now. Slowly, even though he didn't understand the words being spoken because it all just sounded like noise, Bo started to settle, especially after making out somewhat the names Daisy and Uncle Jesse...Uncle Jesse....how bad he wanted his Uncle now to scoop him up in his arms and rock him and cradle him like he used to when they were children.
  4. Bo jerked slightly as Luke's hand touched his forehead, looking around dazed until unfocused eyes settled on Luke, frowning a little as he heard Luke speaking but didn't understand what the heck was being said as everything just jumbled into noise. Swallowing he blinked a little and said in a slightly more panicked voice. "Luke....ya'gotta....ge'out...o'here....he'll...hur'ya..."
  5. Daisy nodded, hugging him again careful of his hand. "I know...but I feel better knowing your okay Luke...especially after everything with Bo...I just don't want to see the both of you in here...I was so..." But her sentence was cut off by a small groan from Bo as he rolled his head softly and opened his eyes a little way, eyes hazy from the amount of pain killers he was on and his mind completly fuzzy as he looked around, stomach clenching and his breathing speeding up as he didn't recognize the room. Slowly he mumbled, words slurring together. "where m'I...what m'I'doin'...'ere..."
  6. Daisy smiled thankfully as she watched the doctor check Luke over, wincing sympathetically as the doctor told him what needed to be done before leaving. Smiling more than she had been in a long while, she stood up and crossed over to him, hugging him softly as she rested her head on his shoulder and whispered. "Thank you Luke....please don't forget ta tell him about yer head though....that's more important than anythin' else....especially if Bo's landed a severe concussion from it....please..."
  7. Daisy looked up as Luke came back in with a Doctor, smiling up and saying her greetings softly, watching as the Doc started to check Luke over.
  8. Daisy sighed softly and nodded. "I know...I;m sorry I had no call to say that....but I would feel better if ya let the Doc check you out...."
  9. Luke...why not get the Doc come in here and check you out...that way you can do both...and I am here too you know...yer not Bo;s only cousin...
  10. Daisy sighed and sat back down as B.L. and Cooter left, looking skeptically to Luke "Luke ya can quit lyin'....you do need a doctor, you admitted it as much..."
  11. Daisy sniffed gently and stood up "I'll go back to the farm and tell him, bring him here. The truck's outta commission so he's got no way o'getting here."
  12. Daisy nodded, hoping to god that he did....knowing Boss though she wasn't so sure. Anyone who got the better of the Duke boys swiftly became a friend of his and it cause a whole lot more trouble than it was wroth sometimes.
  13. After a while, everyone had grown accustomed to the sight of Bo's body all swathed in bandages and had settled down into quiet conversation. Daisy spoke first shaking her head as she tore her eyes away from Bo. "I hope that guy gets what's comin' to him...."
  14. Bo was obviously having a bit of trouble breathing on his own as Daisy noticed the clear tubing resting underneath his nose and snaking round his head, pumping oxygen into him. She shook her head and leant more into Luke, standing beside him as he stroked Bo's unbandaged but heavily bruised cheek, reaching for his hair and softly stroking it away from his eyes as he mad eno response.
  15. Daisy walked with Luke, one arm wrapped round his waist while he wrapped an arm gently around her shoulders, holding her supportivly close as they prepared to see Bo, following Cooter cloesly.
  16. The Doctor nodded back to Luke and smiled a little. "For what its worth, Beauregard is in better condition than others I've seen come in after having been in a fight with an object." Daisy looked up shocked again to the doctor. "Fight with an object! What do you mean fight with an object?!" Looking to her with a surprised expression on her face, the doctor answered. "Well these injuries weren't done from punches and kicks alone...it looks like he's been hit with something, a base ball bat or something. Nothing metal or that would have surely broken bones in his arms and legs as well, but he has been hit with something along those lines." Daisy choked a little bit as she heard the Doctor explain, if thqat was the case then Bo was in more pain than any of them had thought before. No wonder he couldn't move! "If you want to see him, he's in room 534 just down the hall, take a right and the second door on your left....I should warn you though, when he wakes up he's likely to be confused and disorientated and we have him on high levels of pain medication so he's likely to stay that way until we can decrease it." Daisy nodded as she listened, holding B.L.'s hand a little tighter in return to her tight hold, sighing a little. While Luke had an awful reaction to anestiesia, Bo seemed to have one on pain medication and from what she suspected it was morphine, meaning not only was he going to be all the things the Doctor had said before walking away, but he was also going to probably be as sick as a dog for a while as well.
  17. "Okay....its pretty obvious he has a severe concussion and while him falling asleep was not the best of things to do, it shouldn't present any heavy problems. He has the expected bruises and scrapes that are going to make movement and sitting and laying down very painful for a few days. The main thing that concerns us though his his rib cage....basically its a complete mess...some are cracked, others chipped, others broken....he's really in a bad way. It's not life threatening...but still. its going to hurt which is why I'd like to keep him in for a while..."
  18. The convoy of people were all forced to wait in the waiting room with no word on Bo for a good couple of hours. After that time was up and Daisy was near breaking point, wanting to march over to the desk and ask them to see if they could find Bo when the Doctor stepped towards them again/ "Ok...we've finally got Bo settled in..."
  19. Daisy sighed and shrugged, not at all sure how she was feeling or what she was meant to be feeling. "I don't know...I think I'm meant to be relieved but...I cant stop worrying till I know Bo's gonna be alright and Luke is too.."
  20. Daisy sighed and she too settled back against the wall to play the waiting game, knowing Luke was hurt too but also knowing that with Luke as stubborn as he liked to be, he would refused to get seen until he had seen Bo. Therefore, noticing Cooter's whispers, she didn't say anything.
  21. Daisy too was quick to respond, keeping Bo upright as the Doctor stepped back and quickly called for a gurney, several orderlies getting Bo onto it before wheeling him hurridly away.
  22. But Bo didn't even recognise his full name as his eyes slid closed and he fell forwards towards the floor.
  23. Bo swallowed and tried to start telling them, getting a little way in before feeling himself slipping again, shaking his head and breaking off from the story. "I can't....I can't do this I need to sleep..." Just as Bo was saying this, the doctor finally came out to see them, kneeling down seeing instantly who it was that needed help. "OKay and who do we have here and why?"
  24. Bo groaned and rubbed a hand down his face, wanting nothing more than to curl up on the cool floor and sleep for a very long time. Daisy sighed and watched him carefully, wishing the doctor would hurry up, having a good mind to go and find one and yell his ears off.
  25. Bo sighed and opened his eyes again, whining a little. "But I'm tired.....I want ta sleep...." Daisy swallowed softly and rested a hand on his cheek. "C'mon Bo...just think about something to talk about...the Doc ain't gonna be long and then when he's checked you over i'm sure you can sleep for a little while...just concentrate Bo..."
