  1. Bo looked to him, shaking his head before looking back to the floor "Luke...you know what this means....means we can't go to NASCAR like we was plannin'..."
  2. Bo looked to Jesse slightly before looking away again, scowling deeply still but not saying anything. Daisy sighed softly and shook her head "I'm guessin' yer gonna need ta have a talk with him Luke..."
  3. It wasn't too much later on in the week that Bo was finally taken completly off the IV pain medication and given some tablets with the papers to say he was finally being released. But with that release also came a whole new set of restrictions. He wasn't allowed to move around anywhere without the wheelchair the hospital were providing for him. Bo knew that this was a sensible idea because he couldn't actually move much without getting short of breath anyway. This also meant no chores, and the Doc even suggested he stay in bed longer but Bo was going to be damned if he was going to follow that one...well actually if Luke and Jesse made him follow it there was nothing he could do. The one thing that really got to him though, was the fact he wasn't allowed to drive or be driven around at the speeds that he liked...and couldn't get in and out the General Lee either. By the time of his release, Bo was fuming at that last minute order. he had been so excited about the thought of getting back in the General Lee only to find it would probably be a long while before he could. And that was the sight that Luke, Jesse and Daisy walked in on the day of release to find. Bo sitting on the edge of the bed, still in his hospital gown looking like a kid who had been denyed a sucker.
  4. Well thankyou very much BetsyRae! We try our best and its great to know that what we're aiming to achieve is being so and that our writing flows well into each other :-) Thanks for the great reveiw, we're already planning on our next story....well I am...B.L. just don't know it yet ;-)
  5. Eventually Daisy pulled away from Jesse and breifly hugged Luke too. She loved her older cousin and his protective streak over all three of them, she was just glad she and B.L. had chosen to come back when they had otherwise there might well have been world war three between Luke and their Uncle. The two were so stubborn in deciding what was best for one of the two younging's of the family sometimes that they just forgot whose opinion was more important. She knew, as did everyone else in the room, that Bo was not going to be wanting to go on that course no matter how much anyone else said they could help, it was more a case of reminding Uncle Jesse of that than actually directly telling him what was best. Luke may have been the best in the plans deptartment, but when it came to be sneaky to get your own way, there was no one who could do it better than Daisy...Bo maybe catching up, but he cheated and used his innocence and boyish good looks to do that. Looking over him now, she winced a little as she saw that maybe that plan of action may not work for a short while. His closed eyes were still bruised black and blue and the brusies along his jaw still a little swollen...he didn't actually look much like Bo right now, something she hadn't really noticed before.
  6. Daisy nodded, smiling and hugging Jesse softly. "Thank ya Uncle Jesse" She whispered, looking over to Luke with a small wink and a smile. She had tried to teach Luke to be patient where Bo was concerned with Uncle Jesse before, but iy had never seemed to work.
  7. Daisy swallowed, always having been the more calming of the three cousin...in fact out of all the people in the room. She held up her hands and said softly to Uncle Jesse. "Uncle Jesse..please hear me out. Listen....this should ultimatly be Bo's choice to make shouldn't it...I mean how would you like it if someone threw you into a course of psychiatric treatment just because some Doc said it would be good for you? Can't that be Bo's decision?" Seeing that she was getting somewhere, she continued. "But if not...can we at least tell Bo that he'll have them for a trail period to see whether he thinks their helping or not and if they really don't and he ends up worse than before...then we let him remove himself from them and we'll take over....Please Uncle Jesse...Bo's been through enough without us making this decision for him...."
  8. lol you know the middle name James I swear I heard in the show somewhere along the line, I really really do which is why I started using it in my fan fics and the like. And also the thing about John's asthma is true, that is I believe on a commentary or something. But yeah I can see where your coming from. If there isnt an explanation for somethng in the show then fan fic writers are more than happy to fill in those blanks. Wouldn't it be interesting to get the writers of the show to see what they think is plauasble and what isnt. ;-)
  9. Daisy desperatly wanted to say something, knowing Bo wouldn't like this decision one iota but she withered underneath Jesse's look, knowing that meant buisness. The Doctor nodded and penciled in a note. "I'll get that sorted plus his release papers for a few days time." Before he walked out the room...and then the protests started
  10. The doctor nodded, speaking to Luke first. "I know that Mr Duke....but sometimes there are things that need to be treated by professionals and torture is one of them. I strongly recommend this course *to Jesse* Mr Duke...it will benifit him greatly."
  11. The doctor checked Bo over, smiling a little before turning to the dukes. "Everything looks fine, barring any further complications he should be relaased in a couple of days time. Of course, he'll have to come back for check ups and things for a few weeks...and...we recommend a course of psychiatric treatment...."
  12. Yeah, very encouraging. Thanks muchly!
  13. Eventually, when silence fell, Bo found that his body refused him to stay awake any longer, claiming the rest that he needed for it to heal. It wasn't too long after this that Daisy and B.L. finally walked into the room, accompanied by Bo's doctor who smiled warmly at the family. "Hey...just come to check up on our patient. With any luck, she should be out of here by the end of the week the way heis ribs were healing last I checked them."
  14. But...no matter how sure Luke thought he was...Bo wasn't asleep. One of the small tricks he could sometimes pull over Luke, especially if he wasn't paying full attention, was to be able to feign sleep and then sneak out...of course Luke also got his own back the same way, following him to wherever it was he had snuk. Now, he used it to make sure his cousin was alright. He didn't open his eyes, but listen into his and Jesse;s conversation, smiling a little bit as he heard Luke sticking up for him and Jesse's gentle aknowledgement. He loved his family dearly, and it was times like these when he could just listen to what they say that he really valued and appriciated them even more.
  15. Bo smiled up at Luke, still holding one of his hands as his older cousin pulled up the blankets and tucked him in again, pleased that Luke seemed to have understood and accepted what had ben said. He knew that Jesse and Daisy had proberly told him exactly what Bo had...but then again, he knew from experience it was way better to hear it coming from the person involved, especially if that person was a cousin more like a brother than any blood related brother ever could be. With a gentle sigh, he squeezed Luke's hand and drifted into sleep listening to Luke humming him a gently song and running his hand through Bo's golden curls delicatly.
  16. Bo nodded as Luke was talking, reaching up weakly and gently with his hand taking Luke's other, holding them both so he could gently but painfully pull himself into sitting and take Luke into a proper brotherly hug. "Luke...if'n...ya hadn't....gone we....would b...both be here....now....hangin' on...onta life....by a thread....or sleepin'...with the fishes wi...with some new...concereate boots....I love ya Luke....ain't nothin'....ever gon' change that....ya did....right by me...no matter wha' you...or anyone else thinks...." Daisy nodded and sighed happily. Bo really was doing okay, and whille it would be sometime before he was back driving the General around and sleeping properly, she knew he would be okay.
  17. Bo sighed and shook his head. "Luke...qui'...with the lying...I can tell...yer feelin' guilty...an' scared...wha's the matter..." Daisy shrugged gently "I don't know...its just nice to sit here in the peace for a little bit thats all."
  18. Yeah that's what i've heard too and it would make sense for people to make that connection in Bo. It would have been nice to have an episode of the Dukes where they reflect on their past lives, I know there;s a new movie coming out about it, but it just isnt the same with John and Tom. Ah well...that's what fan fiction and round robins are for :-)
  19. Awww yeah but then that's just Bo isnt it. And, yes there is a fight where he didn't elbow someone in the stomach, the one with Luke in the Carnival of Thrills. He does the shaky hand thing but doesn't do the awsomly cute head thing. I love those fights between Bo and Luke, they seem so real which makes them all the more upsetting when they go at each other. :-(
  20. Yeah but if you had kept Luke so jolly and all fun loving, it wouldn't have shown his growth as a character because both boys, although with Bo it is debatable, grow up over the seasons and Luke takes on more and more the role of preparing to become the Duke patriarch after Jesse dies and without that, you'd have doubts about how well a job Luke could actually do. I love his jolly character and all, and you still see it in things like Christmas Dukes and when he's teasing Bo, but everyone unfortunatly grows up and like that progress in Dukes that you dont see so clearly in other tv shows anymore.
  21. Also, in Goodbye General Lee, unconcious underneath the car and sleeping in the hospital when they're hypnotising him.
  22. BoJamesDuke replied to a post in a topic in Tom Wopat/Luke Duke
Poor Luke does seem to get hurt more than Bo, which is kinda appropriate when you think about it. He spends his whole life looking after Bo and trying to make sure he's alright that he's bound to get hurt more because he's more focused on Bo to concentrate on what he's doing. It's never mentioned in the show but you can see it kinda if you look closely. His focus is always on how Bo is doing and not really on what is going on with him and his group of bad guys lol.
  23. Don'r forget the evil grin and laugh in Goodbye General Lee..so darn cute but such an upsetting epsiode!
  24. Has to be the one from Route 7-11. Daisy: Luke's got that look in his eye again... Bo: Yeah. Right after he gets that he goes 'I got it, let's go Bo' and I get in trouble. Luke: *grins as he comes out of his thinking stupor and snaps his fingers* I got it! Let's go Bo! Love it, gives me giggles everytime
  25. I think the best fight scenes he ever did were when he was against Bo to be honest. There is so much emotion and hurt behind those punches sometimes, especially in Carnival of Thrills, and the two play off each other so well in those fights it just doesn't look as coreographed as the other fight scenes do. They really look like the mean to punch each other and that is what makes it so realistic.
