  1. Daisy did the same, walking happily and silently next to him. Just walking along with her eldest cousin in the peace and quiet in the soothing rain was enough to keep her happy. If Luke wanted to talk then she knew he would start it, if not, she was just as content to keep the silence and just wander through Hazzard.
  2. Daisy looked to him as he offered his hand, smiling and taking it gently. "Sure has..." She agreed softly.
  3. Daisy stepped out into the rain first with a happy sigh, liking the feel of the cool rain against her. As much as they had all become accustomed to the hot Gerogia weather, it was nice sometimes to just have some rain for a change to cool the place down and make it a little more bareable in the summer.
  4. Before long, Daisy came out her room to join Luke at the door, slipping her coat on and doing it up carefully before looking to him with a smile. "Ready when you are..." It had been such a long time since they had gone for a walk in the rain together. Since coming back from Nam, for a while Luke had taken a great dislike to the wet weather having had to cope with it too much out in Nam during the rainy seasons. It had taken him a while to get back into enjoying walking through it...and it had been even longer since he invited her on a walk. She had missed those days so much and so everytime he asked her to go with him, she treasured the connection they found again.
  5. Daisy bit her lip gently and nodded as she got up off the bed too. "I'll just go get my jacket...don't go without me.." With that, she hurried to her room to get it.
  6. "S'ok...and no he probably dont wanna talk about it t'night because its the first time he's seen you happy in ages...he's not exactly gonna turn round and spoil that...well least not intentionally anyways. You know Bo's always done things on his own time rather than anyone elses...as far as he could anyway. Why not let it rest t'night...chances are if he has a good night he wont be home till tomorrow anyway...just take t'night t'think about you...and Zack..and make sure it's definitly what you wanna do." Daisy said with a smile, glad to see she was helping her older cousin for once.
  7. "Course i'm right..." she replied teasingly. "Yer not the only one who can be right ya know.." Daisy said with a chuckle as she rubbed his back gently. "Its gonna be fine...i'm behind ya all the way an' so is Uncle Jesse...if needs be just talk with Bo, let him know you know how he feels and that you need to talk about it. Things have a way of working out...you'll see."
  8. "You don't really Luke..." Daisy said softly back "If you hated it you wouldn't have put this offer forward to Zack already...Luke if Zack makes you happy then go for what you want. Bo's feelings are his problem and its something he has to work around...he'd tell you exactly the same thing. Your not gonna hurt him as badly as your thinking you are..."
  9. "I guess you have to think about who's gonna be upset more...who this is goin' t'affect the most. To be honest, Bo's a big boy. He'll get over it and its about time he started doin' more things for himself rather than rely on you all the time. Eventually you are bound t'go yer seperate ways and do things seperatly...families and careers and the like...especially when yer probation finally ends...which ain't far off." Daisy said quietly, already having started thinking about her future too though she hadn't told anyone. "We can't be like we are now forever....as much as we would like t'be...you have to do what's gonna be good for your future...not for what's gonna be ok right now..."
  10. "Cause you were happy....and that was all that mattered. As protective of Bo as ya are cousin he's just as protective of you...he just wants you t'be happy..." Daisy said softly, squeezing Luke's hand softly.
  11. Daisy nodded gently as she glanced to him. "Yeah....had really bad road rash down his back..."
  12. Daisy sighed softly, just looking at him for a minute before looking away again and continuing. "What happened was...when the people took Judd he was too late to confront em face to face...so he jumped on their car as they sped round the parkin' lot...he held on long as he could..."
  13. "Its not the snapping at me i'm upset with Luke, its the temper...yer jumping to conclusions...yer inability t'understand right now...if you wanna understand why Bo's actin' like this an' how t'stop him actin' like this then you can't just assume everythin; all the time..." Daisy replied back softly, not wanting to take sides but it was hard when she understood how Bo was feeling.
  14. Daisy sighed as she heard the snappy tone coming back into Luke's voice, not sure that she should tell him anything else when all it seemed like he was going to do was take it the wrong way as she had asked him not to. She hated when Luke was like this, hated it when he got annoyed because he didn't understand. It was eaisier to talk to the more rational side of Luke, because he tended not t'jump t'conclusions. "If you don't want me t'tell you just say.."
  15. Daisy bit her lip softly. "Like...when Bo came through the door t'yer hospital room...you asked what the heck happened to him but...soon as Judd was mentioned it was all focus back on him again...do you even know what happened t'him Luke?" she asked softly.
  16. "He didn't say at the time...we just put it down t'him being worried for you..." she replied gently, "Later on though he admitted t'me that...well he was kinda jealous at how he comes back and you both acted like you'd never been apart...when it took you an' him years t'build up the brotherly relationship you had t'gether..."
  17. Daisy couldn't help but chuckle a little, nodding. "Yeah recon so...anyway...while we were in the waiting room...Judd was pacin back an' forth blaiming himself...and...well...Bo kinda...snapped at him...he apoplogized right quick an' hugged him an' all but..."
  18. Nodding gently, Daisy rested a hand on his knee softly. "You remember what happened that day...when...you hit yer head?"
  19. Daisy nodded a little too, biting her lip before asking gently. "You remember....when your brother came round...stayed here a while.."
  20. Daisy nodded, scooting over on the bed a little and patting the space beside her quietly, waiting until he had sat down before saying gently. "Now don't take what i'm about t'tell ya the wrong way ok...cause I ain't meaning it to sound like this is your or anybody's fault. S'just the way things happened an' the way Bo feels..."
  21. Daisy couldn't help but smile a little more, sitting on Bo's bed carefully and shaking her head. "And people said it was Bo with the big heart..." Sighing gently, she bit her lip as she watched Luke before saying quietly. "Can I...tell you something...as long as you promise not t'tell Bo I toldja...was kinda..a secret between me an' him.."
  22. "Eaisier because we could always run t'someone else t'solve em...Uncle Jesse...Auntie....each other even sometimes..." She said, stepping more into the room as Luke didn't tell her to leave.
  23. Daisy watched him from the doorway, having heard the screen door slam from her bedroom. Jesse had of course told her all about the thing Luke wanted to do, and she couldn't be more excited about it. From where she was standing though, she could see that something was bothering Luke and from the snippets of conversation she had managed to hear through the paper thin walls she could just about piece together what had happened. Stepping a little more into the room, she smiled and said quietly. "Our problems were a lot eaisier to deal with when we were kids huh..."
  24. Jesse let out a long, weary sigh, stroking a hand down his face and beard gently and looking up at the stars. Part of him couldn't help but wish his wife were still with them. She would know exactly what to say, exactly what to do to help Luke...when it came to matters of the heart it had never been Jesse's strong point. When the cousins were little, it was always Lavinia who had soothed them after a nightmare, or cleaned their scrapes or dealt with the emotions that came with usual childhood troubles...and the unusal...helping them deal with the loss of their parents. Lavinia had always been the one they ran to when they wanted to cry or wanted to just be held...Jesse had been more apt at giving advice, little snippits of wisdom, teaching them about the farm...they needed a female in the picture to guide them...they always had done. When Lavinia had passed it had been a blow to them all...and for a time Jesse had tried being the one that Lavinia had been...but after a while they all sought out each others comfort that they had learned from her...Bo could be relied on for the hugs to the both of his cousins, and Luke and Daisy always used to walk together in the rain to just talk for hours on end when Bo had gone to bed...that's just how it was and it worked. But now, more than anything, Jesse wished she was here to help Luke move on to the next stage of his life...because he wasn't sure how to guide him.
