  1. The doctor smiled back and nodded once more before leaving the room.
  2. The doctor looked back at him, just looking at him a moment before nodding gently. "Yeah...i'll wash my hands and come back...before I get off my shift and go home for the night..."
  3. The doctor smiled back before turning to go. "You best get some sleep...I gotta go wash my hands..."
  4. The doctor laughed. "Well that's a gross minconception...we can be very sympathetc when we feel like the patient deserves it...but leaving your foot where a mule could tread on it doesn't seem to deserve a lot of sympathy..." She said with a wink.
  5. As Joe lay thinking, he knew he had to stop Frank and Jesse from doing what they were planning...the only thing was...he couldn't expect Hank to help him out. Lorraine had hurt him badly and he doubted Hank would want to see her again in a hurry... Through the night, he didn't sleep a wink...just started to think about how to stop Lorraine and the James brothers...
  6. "Now don't go blaiming the Mule...she was probably trying to do you a favour by giving you the time off...either that or she's got four feet to watch remember...maybe you should look where you leave your foot next time..." She said with a cheeky grin.
  7. The doctor nodded in understanding. "Well I'm sure things will be ok for a while...and they can always get help if they need it i'm sure..."
  8. The doctor nodded with a smile. "I could tell that right off...most people wouldn't complain about a broken foot...they'd use it as an excuse to get outta work...its only the hard workers that complain..."
  9. The doctor sighed gently, folding her arms. "So your gonna pout and whiny like a little baby now just because the mean ol' doctor put your leg in nasty traction..."
  10. The doctor laughed a little, writing some things on a chart before replacing it and dismissing the nurse as she tidyed up. "Now I know its not the greatest thing in the world but it's helping..."
  11. The doctor worked quickly and carefully, taking note of the more tender looking areas and being as careful as she could with them. Not too long later, it was all done and setting. "As soon as that's dry, we'll traction it again..."
  12. The doctor nodded, continuing to wrap his foot with the nurse.
  13. She smiled softly, glancing to him, her hands wet with the plaster. "I'm sure he isn't that mad...I didn't hear any screamin' when I came up.."
  14. The doctor nodded a little. "Well...sometimes when its later people get more grumpy and more touchy than usual about things..."
  15. The doctor frowned, as she concentrated. "Mad? What for?"
  16. The doctor gently started to work with the nurse on casting Luke's foot. "Well why don't you just tell me about it instead....I'm gonna be here a while..."
  17. The doctor returned with a nurse and some equipment not too long later, smiling to him as she gently lowered his foot to the bed. "You ok?"
  18. Joe watching him go, biting his bottom lip and stroking his moustache gently. He hadn't meant to make Hank mad...shaking his head he resigned himself to a night on the couch.
  19. Joe couldn't help but thank the gods that Hank believed him. He couldn't face her and the James brothers on his own and he couldn't count on the local law to help him out. If Hank didn't stick by him then he would be at a great disadvantage.
  20. Joe sighed, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Hank...she did...I...I'm sorry..."
  21. The horse was still tacked up where Joe had forgotten to take it off in his rush to get to the saftey of the house.
  22. Joe groaned and grabbed his shoulder. "Hank! When have I ever lied to you! Look go out there and see! Dixie's horse is still tacked up!"
  23. Joe sighed in exasperation, running a hand down his face. "It is true! I borrowed Dixie's horse and went after them...she's using you Hank!"
  24. Bo nodded and headed out after Jaime, putting an arm around her shoulders as he started to talk with her about things.
  25. Bo raised an eyebrow before smiling to Jaime. "Come on then..." Jaime nodded, kissing Luke's cheek before heading out the door with Bo following. "See ya tomorrow cousin."
