  1. Drifting? Looked more like a REEEEAAAAALLLLY long powerslide to me. EDIT: Course, what is a drift but a powerslide with a tuner car.
  2. Kinda sad when you think about it that the only reason it looks so bad is that the producers trashed it for Repo Men...
  3. 1. Daisy ('Cause she always did the dirty work for the boys. "Yeah right!" ) 2. Enos 3. Bo 4. Rosco 5. Luke Everyone else is tied for 6th. But I love 'em all!
  4. Lynyrd Skynyrd is the best band EVER! FreeBird is the greatest song I've ever heard. Second favorite Skynyrd song is "All I Can Do is Write About It." Such a sad song...
  5. Jimmy awoke (I wonder if that's a word!) in a pile of twisted, smoldering metal. He was hanging in the air sideways. His left arm hurt terribly and he felt dizzy. Most likely he had suffered a concussion and broke his arm. He unhooked his seat belt. Not the best idea--he fell from his seat and smacked into the door. Standing up, he found he could not reach the pasenger door, and then, from the shock and concussion, he passed out again, slamming his head against the horn button, a loud "Beep-beep" the last thing he heard... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bo and Luke heard the noise of the horn and grabbed the CB. "Rosco, somebody, are you out there? We just had a bad crash, Jimmy is hurt, somebody come here..." With that, they sprinted to the flipped Plymouth. (Cue Anyone)
  6. Howdy partners! Some fun facts about my character: *Never seen without his white cowboy hat in public. *Held a police job for two years, testing police cars during the ARCA offseason. *Was a stuntman during a show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he jumped a '74 Dodge Royal Monaco painted like a police car over an exploding ramp and landing in a pond of water. *Drove the #43 '81 Dodge Miradas in ARCA competition and several are in a museum in Birmingham. Favorite food is fried chicken. *Once built a car by himself in two weeks for late model racing, a 1966 Dodge Charger, that he sold in 1978. *Is a huge Mopar fan and can tell you anything about old Mopars.
  7. (This story takes place a few weeks after my character Jimmy Duke comes to Hazzard. All characters are welcome!) Rebel, Jimmy Duke's 1971 Plymouth RoadRunner, roars through Hazzard's backroads, followed by the General Lee. Jimmy has just installed new racing slicks and is eager to test them out before the Dash Around Atlanta, a 3-lap race throughout the streets of Atlanta. Jimmy and the Duke boys tear closer and closer to the mound of dirt the Dukes jumped when they were trying to rescue Daisy from Laurel and Hardy, or should I say two robbers disguised as Laurel and Hardy. "Let's see how these babies take this jump, boys!" was what the Duke boys heard on the CB. Rebel bounced onto the mound of dirt at full speed. Suddenly, Jimmy felt the right front tire give ways, and the big Plymouth wobbled to the right. It did a slide in that direction as it left the dirt ramp. The RoadRunner went nose-down and was already tipping over when it slammed head-on into the dirt. It landed on its roof and bounced back over, crushing parts of the trunk. Rebel launched ten feet into the air and landed hard on its right-front fender, sending it slamming into the ground with its left-rear once again. Jimmy's only thought was God, I hope this thing don't catch fire. He heard Bo and Luke send out a call for help on the CB. Then the RoadRunner hit hard on the driver's side and he fell unconscius. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rebel was seriously damaged and lay on its left side. The front end was crumpled up a bit, amazingly not completely to the engine, and the loop grille lay hanging. The fenders were crushed in and the hood was smashed. The rear had suffered the worst. It was completely caved in, the trunk sagging underneath the wheels, but it looked like it would be repairable, albeit a difficult job. A roll cage had saved the roof from crushing Jimmy Duke, but the drivers door had been knocked in and probably had injured him badly. Now was the tough part--getting him out. (cue anyone)
  8. Name: Jim Daniel Duke Birthdate: May 2, 1964 CB Name: "Racin' Rebel" Drives: 1971 Plymouth RoadRunner, nicknamed "Rebel" Occupation: Former Top Driver in Midnight Stock Car Team Height: 6'2" Weight: 180 lbs Description: Raced in ARCA until a crash (in which he flipped 25 times down the backstretch as his '81 Dodge Mirada distentigrated and burst into flames) left him incapacitated for several months after the 1984 Daytona 200. Moved to Hazzard in March 1985. Is the second cousin three times removed (or was it third cousin twice removed?) of Bo, Luke and Daisy (as well as any other Duke cousin I forgot). Does not get chased that much, and is looking for work.
  9. I got 1 General and the rest Daisy's RoadRunner. Not suprising considering I own a yeller '71 RoadRunner.
  10. You know, after much checking out the RR Fan Fic section is basically the same as my site...woah, never knew that was what a Round Robin fic was.
  11. Man, that reminds me of when we bought my '71 RoadRunner a month ago. The trunk lock had popped and we had to go through the backseat to get it open. Then we put all the parts in and used a ROPE to get it closed. It kept bouncin' up and down.
  12. http://s10.invisionfree.com/Hazzard_County/index.php?act=idx I've made an RP site that I am proud to say is inspired by you guys. Just the other day I was looking at your RP 'advertisement' for Hazzard Crossroads. So, I go to yahoo, type it in, wait for it to load, and then..."No Matches Found." Huh? Back to Fan Fiction, then Past Fics, then 2002, then Prelude to Mass Confusion...wait, what did it say? "What you are about to read is a prelude to a fanfic." Nooooo! I missed it! Advance a few minutes. I've now created a site. Okay, what to add? A little bit of this and that. It's finished! Now I have to do the hard part--convince people to join. This is an online community for roleplayers who want to live life Hazzard-style. Thanks for looking! --Alex
  13. They're explaining the similarities between Presidents Kennedy and Lincoln.
  14. I was watching the episode Jude Emery the other night on CMT, and I was wondering about this. First, who is Sherriff Grady? Second, how did they explain Rosco's absense? In Arrest Jesse Duke, they explained it as being Rosco in a police course in Atlanta.
  15. Thanks Daney. I guess 2 year old Mopar Muscle magazines aren't as reliable I thought they were.
  16. I'll do my best: 1. 440 cid/383 cid engined 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, 117 inch wheelbase 2. Most famous scene was the one at the end of all but Coy & Vance episodes, episode One Armed Bandits, Season 1, Episode 1, where the General jumped over Rosco. 3. Warner Bros. is all I know. I know they poured concrete in the trunks to get it to jump. 4. Some were crushed (the ones in Georgia) and some in California were sold off. 5. There were more than 300 Generals, but the "original" (LEE 1) was repainted and beat up for Episode 4, Repo Men, then left to rot in a junkyard as #71. Travis Bell and Gary Schneider found it in a boneyard in Georgia and it is beyond restoration. They take it to car shows the way they found it.
  17. Thanks, th89 at another forum (terrasco.net) made it for me from a request.
  18. I listen to Southern Rock, Country, and other Classic Rock (i.e. Styx).
  19. I always can see the difference between '71 or '72 RoadRunners, seeing as how I own a 1971 Lemon Twist RoadRunner. The '71 has a completely black grille with the lights surrounded. '72 'Runners have a silver or black grille with a split in the middle (somewhat like a Charger). Daisy's car was a '71 for 20-something episodes, was a 74 for 10 or so.
